Gu Shaokai gave him a sharp look and said, "Just go when I tell you to. Stop talking so much nonsense."
When you're drunk, you don't have to think about anything.
Hei Zi had no choice but to do as he was told.
Finally, Gu Shaokai collapsed drunk on the sofa, his eyes tightly closed, but he kept calling out "Xinyi" with a pained expression.
Hei Zi had the employees downstairs clean up the bottles on the table, then helped Gu Shaokai to bed, covered him with the blanket, and turned off the light before getting up.
The next day, Gu Shaokai woke up from his hangover, his head feeling like it had exploded.
As he stood up, rubbing his temples, he shouted sharply, "Hei Zi!"
Hei Zi, who was outside the living room, was startled and quickly pushed the door open to come in.
"Brother, what can I do for you?"
Gu Shaokai lowered his hand, stared at him, and asked, "What happened last night?"
Hei Zi moved a stool over and sat down. "Brother, you were heartbroken last night and got yourself drunk. Can you tell me what happened between you and your wife?"
Almost instantly, Gu Shaokai remembered what had happened yesterday.
She glanced at the sun outside; she should be at the Xu family's house by now.
"Stop talking nonsense, isn't it busy downstairs?"
Ignoring the gossip, he took off his wrinkled clothes, leaving only his loose pants, and went straight to the bathroom.
"Busy, busy, busy." He was so busy he was almost out of breath.
"Brother, here's a bowl of hangover soup. Remember to drink it later."
All that responded to him was Gu Shaokai's indifferent back.
Gu Shaokai stood under the shower, cold water pouring over his head, and closed his eyes to think about what to do next.
