Chapter 295 Learning English

Hearing his sister's words, Li Hanting's expression turned even colder, and he strode over.

His first glance wasn't at the shards on the ground, but rather at the two of them.

After confirming that they were not injured, he stared at his sister and asked coldly, "What happened?"

Li Yuehuan trembled slightly, "Second brother, I..."

Waaaaah... Second brother isn't going to send her back, is he?

She didn't do it on purpose.

Su Jingjing tugged at the man's sleeve, signaling him not to be so fierce.

"It's okay, Huanhuan. May you have peace and safety every year."

"Come here slowly, Second Sister-in-law, just sweep up the broken pieces on the ground."

Li Yuehuan felt a little comforted and, avoiding her second brother's gaze, slowly moved closer.

Sniffing, she said, "Second Sister-in-law, I broke it. Please sweep it up for me."

Suddenly, a pair of large hands reached out, and the two looked up.

"I'll clean it up."

Su Jingjing hesitated for a moment before placing the broom in his hand.

Sitting on the sofa listening to the sounds coming from the TV, Li Yuehuan gradually calmed down.

Peeking over, I saw my second brother skillfully sweeping up the broken pieces on the ground, and then washing the dishes.

She couldn't help but widen her eyes. Was this really her second brother?

"Second sister-in-law, does second brother do housework every day?"

Upon closer examination, she was still able to discover some clues.

For example, my second brother does countless things: washing clothes, buying groceries, taking out the trash, washing vegetables...

“He will help as soon as he gets home.”

Su Jingjing smiled faintly, so she didn't feel tired.

Unlike some men who think that because they hold a high position, they can only boss their wives around when they get home, and will scold them if they are not happy with the slightest thing.

"Second brother, you're a real man!"

Li Yuehuan gave a thumbs up.

Just when she thought her second brother was going to send her back to the old house, he simply said, "Be careful next time."

Yay, my second brother didn't blame her.

A few days later, Li Yuehuan went back to the old house, worried that her parents might be bored at home.

Su Jingjing was reading a book, while the two children were doing their homework. The sun shone through the window, making them feel warm and cozy.

Today, with her mother and brother beside her, Yuanyuan lowered her head and diligently wrote.

But he didn't hold on for long before his eyes started darting around, and he hesitated to put the pen down.

She caught sight of her mother engrossed in reading a book and, driven by curiosity, asked a question.

"Mom, what book is this?"

She had never seen these words before, and she was babbling incoherently.

An'an noticed his sister's movements, put down his pen, and looked at the book in Su Jingjing's hand.

"Mom, is this in English?"

He knew that his mother often wrote in this obscure and difficult language on paper.

Su Jingjing closed the book. "Did your aunt tell you that?"

She couldn't think of anyone else besides Huanhuan.

"Um."

It's rare for my son to ask, which means he...

"An'an, do you want to learn English?"

Some people might think she's crazy, that a little kid like her can't possibly understand, but An'an isn't an ordinary child; she learns things exceptionally quickly.

An An's eyes lit up, and she nodded emphatically, "Mm."

Su Jingjing then remembered that her son would not start learning English for several more years, but she knew it would be too late.

She knew that language skills should be developed from childhood.

If the two children are exposed to English now, they will find it easier to learn it later.

"Then Mom will go to the city another day to buy some primers."

Yuan Yuan timidly raised her hand, "Mom, Yuan Yuan wants to learn too."

Although she doesn't like studying, she wants to be with her mother.

Su Jingjing and An'an exchanged a glance.

"Yuanyuan, once you start, you can't give up halfway."

Yuanyuan hesitated, "I..."

An'an understood immediately and asked solemnly, "Little sister, have you finished your homework?"

"not yet."

Yuanyuan covered the handwriting on the notebook, her confidence somewhat lacking.

"If you finish your homework as soon as possible, then you can start learning English."

The mother and son stared intently at the little one, curious about what decision she would make.

My younger sister always procrastinates on her homework, but they can't bear to scold or punish her.

Yuanyuan looked at her mother and then at her brother, pursing her lips, unsure how to answer.

"Mother……"

"Yuanyuan, Mom can't help you either."

Su Jingjing shook her head; she needed to cultivate her independent thinking now.

"Will I even have time to watch TV then?"

The little guy asked in a low voice.

Su Jingjing couldn't help but laugh out loud, pulling her onto her lap. "You, of course you have time to watch TV."

"You'll spend a lot of time watching TV every day."

She stipulated that he could only watch for half an hour a day, and he could not stare at the screen for extended periods.

Yuanyuan raised her fist and said firmly, "Then I want to learn too."

"Great!"

Su Jingjing praised without reservation, "When Auntie comes back, let's go buy books together."

Two days later, Li Yuehuan came over carrying large and small bags, her little hands red from being tied up.

“An’an, Yuanyuan, your aunt is here again.”

You hear his voice before you see him.

Wow, so much food!

Yuanyuan squatted down and rummaged through the food, finding all her favorite snacks.

Su Jingjing asked in confusion, "How did you manage to bring so much food?"

I hope my sister-in-law didn't clear out the old house.

It has to be said, Su Jingjing is right.

Li Yuehuan took the water, gulped it down, and made a sour sound. "Second sister-in-law, Mom asked me to bring this."

"If I could carry more, I could carry even more."

Put down the cups and sort them with Yuanyuan.

The aunt and niece were busy and having a great time.

When Li Hanting returned and saw a table full of snacks, his temples throbbed with excitement.
