Chapter 35 Buying Clothes for the Two Children

Li Cheng'an's eyes widened; he hadn't expected her to agree to buy it.

Is she possessed?

Although he was young, he understood that thirty yuan was a lot of money.

Li Cheng'an would believe the money was spent on her, but it was for his sister to buy a dress, which was hard to believe.

Seeing that An'an hadn't come to his senses for a long time, Su Jingjing quickly called out to him, "An'an, what are you standing there for? Come over here and pick out some clothes."

Does this kid still not trust her?

Li Cheng'an didn't expect to get a share too. Would his father spend all fifty yuan?

Ignoring the onlookers, she walked coldly to her mother's side, beckoned her to lower her head slightly, and asked the question that had been bothering her, "You're not going to spend all fifty yuan today, are you?"

Su Jingjing then realized that An'an had seen it and was feeling sorry for Li Hanting's fifty yuan.

What a capable little manager! No wonder he's a future shrewd businessman.

She joked, "Maybe it's more than fifty dollars."

Enraged and embarrassed, Li Cheng'an bit his lip, "You..."

"Alright, little housekeeper, it's just buying two pieces of clothing, it won't bankrupt our family."

Our home?

What heartwarming words.

Li Cheng'an pouted and said defiantly, "I won't buy it. I still have clothes at home."

He stood lazily to the side with his arms crossed, giving off an air of "what can you do about it?"

It's true what they say, you don't know the cost of daily necessities until you're in charge of the household; Mom still can't change her extravagant spending habits.

The employees standing to the side found it extremely amusing. Nowadays, all the children in the city are spoiled, willful, and unreasonable. If their parents don't buy them things, they will definitely sit on the ground and roll around.

It's rare to see such a sensible child!

Su Jingjing found it amusing; An'an was even more difficult to deal with than a woman.

There were no clothes left in the house that could be worn out; they were all tattered and worn out. The original owner was unwilling to mend or patch the children's clothes, so now there was only one piece left to change into.

The summer weather was too hot. After a little exercise, you would be soaked in sweat. What's more, the brat was always restless and would often climb trees to steal bird eggs.

Su Jingjing said to herself, "Even if you don't buy anything, you still have to spend all the money. For example, buy some clothes for yourself. I haven't bought any clothes for several days now."

Little did she know how much turmoil those words stirred in An'an's heart, making her think that An'an was still hard to change her nature.

As expected, Li Cheng'an fell for it and replied stiffly, "I want to buy clothes too."

This is Dad's money, why shouldn't he spend it?

Meeting his mother's ambiguous smile, he realized he had just been tricked. However, instead of feeling angry as he had imagined, he felt a little smug.

She went to such lengths to buy him clothes.

Li Cheng'an pretended to carefully select a suit, but in fact he had already set his sights on the suit hanging on the wall.

But knowing full well that the clothes hanging on the wall must be expensive, he turned to choosing clothes from the clothesline. As long as they were wearable, it didn't matter what kind of clothes he bought.

Li Cheng'an pointed to a black suit and declared confidently, "I want this one."

Upon hearing this, the store employees were immediately taken aback; the little boy didn't seem like someone who didn't know the value of things.

No, he's just too discerning; he can tell at a glance that the clothes on the clothesline are cheap, which is why he specifically chose the black suit.

Her eyes immediately lit up with hearts. What a sensible little boy! She wanted one too.

Su Jingjing wasn't surprised. She knew from the beginning that An'an would choose inexpensive clothes. This kid was too smart and had a lot of tricks up his sleeve, but no matter how smart he was, he was still just a child and would inevitably reveal his flaws. So she had already figured out which clothes An'an liked.

"Take a look at your little sister." She handed Yuanyuan to An'an, asking him to look after her.

Although Li Cheng'an was unaware of her intentions, he took care of his sister without complaint.

Next, Su Jingjing directly said to the beautiful woman next to her, "Could you please take down that gray and blue suit on the wall for me?"

"Excuse me, just a moment."

Although the store employees did not know what Su Jingjing meant, they adhered to the idea that the customer is always right and quickly took them down.

After Su Jingjing received the clothes, she looked at them from left to right, glancing at An An standing in front of her from time to time. She thought to herself, "An An has good taste. The style and fabric of the clothes are both nice."

She was satisfied with both colors. Wearing black at such a young age would be so unappealing; she wouldn't believe the silly boy's words.

However, I'm also glad that if I had chosen light-colored clothes, given An'an's mischievous nature, she would have made washing clothes exhausting.

"Miss, you have excellent taste. These two outfits are very popular overseas, so you don't need to worry about them fading."

Despite her flowery words and the fact that she never mentioned the price, Su Jingjing only knew that this was something An'an liked.

He turned to the employee and asked, "Excuse me, how much are these two sets?"

The employee was taken aback for a moment, then immediately beamed with joy, becoming even more enthusiastic. "The boys' clothes are cheaper; two sets together cost twenty yuan."

In less than an hour, four sets of clothes were sold, breaking all previous records.

After thinking it over, Su Jingjing realized that the four sets of clothes cost exactly fifty yuan, leaving her with nothing. It seemed to be fate.

"Please pack these two sets for me too."

"Okay, sure."

The two of them sang in unison, completely ignoring the black suit that Li Cheng'an had just pointed out.

Li Cheng'an knew his mother had seen through his thoughts when she asked him to take off his blue and gray suits, and he was so embarrassed that he dared not look her in the eye.

But when she said she wanted to buy it, Li Cheng'an was not calm.

She pulled her younger sister up to her and stammered, "I don't like blue and gray, so don't buy them."
