Su Jingjing slowly closed the book in her hand. However, when she looked up, she found that the two children were still lying there quietly, blinking their bright eyes and staring straight at her.
She smiled slightly, reached out and gently touched their cute little noses, her voice as soft as a spring breeze, "Why aren't you asleep yet? Didn't you just say you were sleepy?" After saying that, she tucked the blankets back into the children's beds.
Yuanyuan patted the spot beside her and whispered, "Mom, lie down too, I want to sleep with you."
Su Jingjing glanced at the door and thought that A-Ting probably wouldn't be back anytime soon.
"Okay, Mom will go change into her pajamas first."
Five minutes later, the mother and her two children were snuggled together on a warm bed. Su Jingjing gently stroked the children's soft hair and gazed at them with loving eyes.
"Honey, it's getting late, go to sleep."
Her hands gently and rhythmically patted the children's backs.
An An and Yuan Yuan closed their eyes happily, and their breathing gradually became steady and even.
Li Hanting carefully pushed open the door, afraid of waking the person inside.
Their eyes met unexpectedly, and they gazed at each other silently. Su Jingjing got out of bed and said softly, "Have you finished talking to Dad?"
Li Hanting responded softly, lowered his eyes, and then went to the bathroom to change his clothes.
Su Jingjing felt the man's indifference for the first time and stood there stunned, at a loss for what to do.
She suddenly felt her body trembling and tried hard to recall if she had done something wrong.
Hearing the sound of running water inside, she became even more restless.
Li Hanting quickly took a shower, picked up a dry towel to dry his buzz cut, and stared blankly at himself in the mirror for a moment. What should he do if his wife really had feelings for Xie Zheng?
The thought of letting her go made his heart ache so much he could hardly breathe.
The door was slowly pulled open with a creak, and Su Jingjing's heart pounded like a startled fawn. She bit her bloodless lips tightly and handed the glass of warm water forward.
"Ah Ting, are you tired? Do you want some water?" Her voice was as gentle as a breeze, full of endless care and love.
Li Hanting's cold and deep eyes were now fixed on the delicate woman in front of him. He silently took the water glass, tilted his head back, and drank it all in one gulp.
After finishing his water, his gaze remained fixed on her, as if trying to see through her eyes to uncover the deepest secret in her heart.
Su Jingjing took a deep breath and took the initiative to explain the situation.
Are you in a bad mood today, or did I do something wrong?
To avoid disturbing the two children, Li Hanting pulled the person into the bathroom and locked the door behind him.
In an instant, Su Jingjing was trapped between the man's chest and the wall. The man's pajamas had a low collar, and when she lowered her head slightly, she saw the view inside, and a blush immediately rose on her face.
They were only a centimeter apart, and she felt her breathing become erratic. She gently turned her head to the side, "Ah Ting, I..."
Before she could finish speaking, her lips were covered by a warm touch. This sudden action startled her, and her eyes widened in surprise. She was at a loss for what to do.
The man's deep kiss felt like he was swallowing her whole. His hands slowly roamed over her body, and a current flowed through her, making her tremble involuntarily.
Her breathing became heavier and heavier, her heartbeat accelerated to its limit, and her face turned red as if she was about to suffocate.
She tried to struggle, but the other person's strength prevented her from escaping.
Gradually, she gave up struggling, tilting her head back and forced to endure his plunder, tears involuntarily streaming down her face.
Li Hanting noticed that something was wrong with her and slowly took a step back. Her tears felt like a knife stabbing into his chest.
A metallic taste welled up in her chest. "Did my kiss make you feel so bad?"
At that moment, time seemed to stand still, and the whole world consisted of just the two of them.
Su Jingjing's face turned deathly pale instantly, and she punched him on the shoulder, "You bastard, you've been giving me the silent treatment ever since you came back."
She pushed him away forcefully, wiped away her tears, and felt like she was suffocating. Couldn't she even shed a few tears?
"If you didn't want to be with me anymore, you should have said so sooner. I'm not the kind of person who clings on relentlessly."
After saying that, she turned to leave, but the next second the man picked her up around the waist and before she could react, she was already sitting on the sink. The man spread her legs and forcefully squeezed in, a position that was both ambiguous and awkward.
Her face flushed red, she tried to push him away, asking coquettishly, "What exactly do you want to do?"
However, Li Hanting held her slender waist tightly and looked at her at eye level. The distance between them was so close that they could almost feel each other's hot breath.
"Wife, never leave me."
The man's words sounded so humble that her heart ached slightly.
Shouldn't she be the one saying that?
Su Jingjing sniffed and complained about his behavior in a coquettish tone, "You were the one who was cold to me and then forced a kiss on me. My mouth hurts so much now."
Li Hanting's gaze lingered on her lips, her cherry-like mouth red and swollen, and his eyes revealed his heartache.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
He raised his hand, afraid of hurting her, so he dared not touch her.
"You did this on purpose; you don't care about me at all."
Su Jingjing chuckled inwardly, but still deliberately kept a straight face.
"Tell me, is there something bothering you? We're husband and wife, we can't keep secrets."
