The next morning, sunlight streamed through the curtains into the room, creating dappled patterns of light and shadow.
Chen Shufang arrived at the door again, carrying large and small bags. As soon as she entered, she asked Su Jingjing about her health with a concerned expression.
Su Jingjing smiled and stepped forward to greet Chen Shufang, taking the heavy package from her hands. She said softly, "Mom, I feel much better after taking my medicine yesterday." Her tone was relaxed and gentle.
Seeing that her daughter-in-law was acting normally, Chen Shufang felt relieved.
“Your Uncle Ming’s medical skills are among the best in the medical field, and I trust him completely.”
She took the tea that Su Jingjing handed her and took a small sip.
Su Jingjing secretly wondered if it was a waste of his talents to have Uncle Ming treat her minor cold.
"The weather has been unpredictable these past few days, so be sure to cover yourself well with a blanket when you go to bed at night, or you'll catch a cold again."
Hearing her mother-in-law's words, Su Jingjing was stunned for a moment, then realized that her mother-in-law had misunderstood.
"Mom, I'll be careful."
Chen Shufang stopped there, then looked around and asked in confusion, "Where are An'an and Yuanyuan?"
"They were playing behind the family dormitory building."
Then Su Jingjing lowered her voice and carefully instructed, "Mom, An'an and Yuanyuan don't know I'm sick yet, so please don't let it slip in front of them later."
Chen Shufang nodded in understanding, indicating that she understood what she meant.
Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open, and a round little figure ran over like a gust of wind, snuggling up to Chen Shufang, blinking her curious big eyes, and asking in a childish voice, "Grandma, when did you get here?"
If her older brother hadn't seen her, she wouldn't know anything yet.
Compared to Yuanyuan's liveliness, An'an was much more composed, obediently greeting Chen Shufang.
Chen Shufang had two women on her left and right, and the smile on her lips never faded.
"Grandma just arrived too, she brought you some delicious food."
The next second, Yuanyuan's eyes lit up, and she asked eagerly, "What delicious food is it?"
Yuanyuan's greedy appearance made the two of them smile at each other. Chen Shufang patted Yuanyuan's hair and gently replied, "It's on the table, share it with your brother."
After receiving a reply, Yuanyuan happily pulled her brother along to find something to eat.
The package Grandma brought was like a treasure trove; she could always find her favorite snacks in it.
Chen Shufang stayed for a morning and then returned to her old house.
Time flies, and it's already May.
After more than forty days of postpartum confinement, Ouyang Qian is finally able to go out and breathe some fresh air.
As soon as she finished her postpartum confinement, she and Li Hanchen took the baby and went back to her parents' home because her parents missed her terribly.
Ouyang's mother and Chen Shufang had already discussed it. After the postpartum period, Ouyang's mother would ask Chen Shufang to come and take care of her daughter for a month. It wasn't that her in-laws couldn't take good care of her, but rather that Ouyang's mother wanted to take care of her daughter herself.
Chen Shufang and her husband were left alone in the old house again. That night before going to bed, she suggested to Lao Li that they go to the family compound to take care of An'an and Yuanyuan.
“Jingjing will be taking the college entrance exam in less than a month. I heard from Ating that she’s quite busy right now, and I’m worried that her health might not be able to handle it, so why don’t I go and take care of her for a while?”
She discussed it with Lao Li.
Li Yuan closed the book, turned his head to look at him, and asked in a calm and unhurried voice, "Would they, as a couple, agree?"
“I called Han Ting today, and he didn’t seem to refuse as firmly as he used to.”
After thinking for a moment, Li Yuan said, "I'll make another call tomorrow to see how things go. If they agree, then you can go and take care of them for a few days."
After listening, Chen Shufang nodded slightly to indicate that she understood.
"Go to sleep, we have to get up early tomorrow."
Then she slowly lay down, carefully tucked herself in, and reached out to turn off the light, preparing to drift off to sleep.
The air was exceptionally fresh at night, thanks to the torrential rain that fell during the day. The rain washed away the dust and heat, bringing a touch of coolness and tranquility to the entire city of Huai.
Accompanied by the faint chirping of insects outside the window, Chen Shufang and her companion gradually drifted into a sweet dream.
The next morning, Chen Shufang, who had just woken up, called Han Ting and told him directly that she would come over to stay for a few days.
Li Hanting didn't refuse this time; he also wanted to make things easier for his wife.
Since her mother-in-law insisted on coming, Su Jingjing quickly tidied up her room and cleaned all the rooms with the children.
An'an and Yuanyuan were very happy to learn that their grandmother was coming to live with them.
For the next few days, Chen Shufang cooked every day and was also responsible for picking up and dropping off An'an and Yuanyuan, all to provide Su Jingjing with a safe and secure learning environment.

As the child grew up, his features gradually developed, and the neighbors around the neighborhood began to whisper that the child didn't look like Li Haoxuan.
Even before the child was born, Zheng Yilan had endless worries in her heart, always feeling that Jinju had cheated on her son.
Now, with the added instigation of outsiders, she felt more and more that this good-for-nothing was nothing like Haoxuan.
While Jinju and her daughter were strolling downstairs, she pulled her son off the bed.
"Haoxuan, wake up! Something terrible has happened."
Li Haoxuan reluctantly opened his eyes, his tone somewhat harsh.
"Mom, what are you doing? I'm still sleepy." She turned over and continued sleeping.
Faced with her son's anger, Zheng Yilan trembled and pleaded with him, "Mom has something to tell you. People outside are saying that Pandi is not your daughter, and Mom also thinks she doesn't look like you at all when you were little."
Li Haoxuan's drowsiness was immediately dispelled. He grabbed a handful of hair in frustration, "Mom, what nonsense are you talking about? If it's not my child, whose is it?"
