Chapter 439 Li Hanting's Worries

Li Hanting parked the vehicle steadily in the spacious courtyard, then deftly unbuckled his seatbelt, opened the car door, and got out, all in one smooth motion.

Immediately afterwards, he strode into the house.

Upon entering the living room, Li Hanting quickly scanned the room and saw his parents sitting on the sofa while his two children played nearby.

But I didn't see Jingjing's familiar figure.

"Daddy, you're finally back!" Her round little face beamed with excitement. Without hesitation, she dropped the Barbie doll she was holding and ran over like a joyful little bird. At the same time, she reached out her chubby little hand and tightly grabbed Li Hanting's clothes, looking up at him earnestly to share her joy.

Li Hanting gently pinched the tip of her round, adorable nose and said with a smile, "Baby, Daddy just heard the good news."

Then, he looked up and gazed at the two elderly people sitting on the sofa.

"Mom and Dad, where is Jingjing?" Li Hanting asked with concern.

"She's upstairs, why don't you go up and see her?" the mother replied with a smile.

Upon receiving a definite answer, Li Hanting felt an overwhelming sense of urgency and rushed towards the stairwell.

An'an and Yuanyuan wanted to follow, but Chen Shufang stopped them and whispered, "Let's not disturb them."

"Playing downstairs with my grandparents."

Yuanyuan struggled gently, "Grandma, I want to go find my mom and dad."

An'an spoke up to remind her, "Little sister, have you forgotten what your brother said?"

He said he couldn't disturb his parents' time together, otherwise there wouldn't be a little brother or sister.

"Then I won't go up," Yuanyuan said in a muffled voice.

Chen Shufang was quite curious about what little secret the two little cuties had.

Upstairs, Su Jingjing was tidying up the clothes in the closet.

She has been living in the old house for almost a month, and plans to return to her family home in a couple of days.

The sudden sound of the door opening caught her attention.

She turned her head instinctively, her eyes suddenly lit up, and the clothes in her hand fell onto the bed.

Why are you back?

Li Hanting stepped forward and hugged her tightly, burying his head in her neck and inhaling her fragrance.

"Wife, congratulations."

Su Jingjing turned her head to look at him, and moved her lips, "You know everything?"

Li Hanting gently moved the distance between them a little and affectionately kissed her nose.

"Yeah, my wife is just that amazing."

"It's alright." Su Jingjing became shy instead.

She suddenly remembered something, "Oh right, I'm going to Beijing in September, so won't we be in a long-distance relationship?"

Now, just thinking about it makes her seem a little unhappy again.

Li Hanting had thought about this issue long ago, but no matter what, his wife's studies were the most important thing.

“Honey, I’ve made up my mind. After you start school in September, An’an and Yuan’yuan will transfer back to the old house to study, and our parents will take care of them. I will try my best to make time to visit you whenever I have free time.”

Su Jingjing never expected that the man had thought about this issue so long ago.

She was truly moved.

She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, leaned in and kissed the corner of his mouth with her red lips, "Ah Ting, how can you be so good to me?"

"Don't worry, I will come back to see you and the children whenever I have time."

Fortunately, Beijing and Huaicheng are not far apart.

Li Hanting stared intently at her delicate and lovely face, a wave of unease and crisis surging through his heart, threatening to overwhelm him.

"Wife, I have a small request, and I hope you can grant it."

Su Jingjing sensed the change in his emotions and couldn't help but feel puzzled, but she still gently asked, "What are your requests?"

Li Hanting took a deep breath and said in a slightly low voice, "There are many energetic young men on campus. I don't want you to talk to them too much, or I'll get jealous."

Hearing this, Su Jingjing couldn't help but laugh. She gently stroked Li Hanting's cheek and comforted him, "Silly boy, I already have you, An'an, and Yuanyuan. Other men are nothing to me."

Li Hanting frowned and spoke his mind, "You are so wonderful, I'm afraid you'll be taken away from me."

Su Jingjing laughed even louder, amused by his words. "So that's what you're worried about. Don't worry, my heart is with you three!"

Li Hanting held her tightly in his arms, his hands around her waist.

That evening, they told their parents what was on their minds.

Chen Shufang agreed without hesitation, "Jingjing, don't worry, your parents will take good care of An'an and Yuanyuan. You can focus on your studies and come home to visit whenever you have time."

The two of them had long wanted to transfer An'an and Yuanyuan back to their parents, so they wouldn't have to think about the two children every day.

Hearing her grandmother's words, Yuanyuan's heart tightened. "Mommy, are you leaving me and my brother?"

A simple sentence, choked with sobs, her eyes immediately filled with tears as she screamed, "Mom, I don't want you to leave!"

Everyone was startled by Yuanyuan's tears.

Su Jingjing hugged her lap and said with heartache, "Didn't Mom say that she would never leave you? I'm just going to study in another city, and I might only be able to come back once a week."

Yuanyuan's tears stopped instantly, but her red eyes looked like a little rabbit's as she looked up at Su Jingjing, then at Li Hanting, her eyes glistening with tears.

"Dad, is Mom just going to study in another city?"

Li Hanting nodded and gently wiped away his daughter's tears. "Our family will never be separated."

Chen Shufang and Li Yuan looked at their granddaughter with teary eyes, their hearts filled with endless love and heartache.

They gently took her from Li Hanting's hands, as if holding an incomparably precious treasure.

Chen Shufang gently stroked the little one's hair, "Grandma's darling, don't cry, it breaks Grandma's heart."

"You live with your brother and grandparents. Your parents will come back to visit our lovely little princess whenever they have time!"

Hearing this, Yuanyuan's crying gradually subsided. She nestled in her grandmother's arms, feeling the warmth and comfort of her family.

Yuanyuan looked up, her swollen, red eyelids evoking pity. She blinked her large, watery eyes and choked out, "Mommy, I'll miss you. You must come back to see me and my brother."

Su Jingjing held her little hand tenderly in her own and said solemnly, "Mommy will miss you too. You and your brother stay home and behave yourselves. If you miss Mommy, just call me."

She plans to expand her business while studying in Beijing, which will make it much easier to contact her by phone.

Yuanyuan nodded obediently.

She calls her mother frequently.

"Mom, I will take good care of my little sister, you don't need to worry."

An'an is like a little adult, so well-behaved that it breaks your heart, but he is clearly just a child who needs his mother's love.

"Mom believes in you."

Su Jingjing gently stroked his small forehead and smiled tenderly.
