West Eurydice, Royal Academy of Arts
In this retro-style art studio, a quiet and focused Eastern girl sits in front of the canvas, gently moving her paintbrush as she carefully copies the work before her.
"Yuanyuan, it's getting late. Why don't we go home and rest for a bit?"
Anna is a blonde, blue-eyed Western girl with striking, deep-set features. Her voice is soft and carries a hint of concern.
Because she admires Chinese culture, she speaks Mandarin exceptionally fluently.
Li Yuanyuan raised her head slightly, glanced at the clock on the wall, and then gently shook her head. "Anna, you should go back first. I want to paint for a while longer."
Anna immediately objected, "I can't leave you here alone."
She understood Yuanyuan's persistence and love for art, but it would be dangerous for a girl to go home too late.
"My house is near the school, so I'll be fine."
Li Yuanyuan smiled and comforted her, "How about this, I'll draw for another half hour and then go back."
Anna hesitated for a long time before finally agreeing. She did have something to do today, otherwise she would have stayed to keep Yuanyuan company.
"Okay, be careful."
After Anna left, Li Yuanyuan devoted herself to painting.
The studio was filled with the faint smell of paint, and the soft light shone on the canvas, making each of Yuanyuan's lines appear exceptionally clear. Her technique was skillful and delicate, as if she had perfectly presented the scene in her heart onto the paper.
Half an hour later, Li Yuanyuan packed up her paints with satisfaction, slung her bag over her shoulder, and walked out of the studio.
After leaving the school gate, she turned right and went home. A year ago, she came to study at the Royal College of Art. Her parents specially rented an apartment for her near the school. Her mother and brother would come to visit her whenever they had time. However, her father could not go abroad easily because he worked in the military.
She had walked this road countless times, but today the streetlights were broken, and the surroundings seemed a bit dark.
Li Yuanyuan encouraged herself mentally, and her pace quickened involuntarily.
Suddenly, her foot tripped over something, and she lost her balance and fell forward. She instinctively closed her eyes.
However, no pain came. Instead, my hand unconsciously touched a hard object, accompanied by a strong, pungent smell of blood.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she slowly opened her eyes. What she saw was a young man lying on the ground, covered in blood. His eyes were closed and his brows were furrowed.
Li Yuanyuan's pupils constricted sharply, her face turned pale, and she covered her mouth and nose, retreating repeatedly.
Her hands were stained with blood, and she felt waves of fear.
Is he still alive?
Li Yuanyuan actually had the opportunity to turn around and leave, but her deep-seated kindness prevented her from simply abandoning the situation.
Despite being filled with fear, she gritted her teeth and took difficult steps, inching her way toward the other person.
Finally, she trembled as she reached out her finger, about to place it under the man's nose to check for breath, when she suddenly looked up—and met the gaze of a young man!
The man had a high, straight nose and deep, sharp eyes. His dark brown eyes seemed to be burning with flames, exuding an aura of aggression.
His features were so exquisite, as if they had been meticulously sculpted by a master sculptor, with every contour line exuding power and majesty.
Her golden hair was dazzling, shimmering with brilliant light.
Li Yuanyuan silently backed away, but the man grabbed her wrist, and she gasped, "Ah..."
In such a quiet environment, it seemed even more desolate.
Oh no, will she be murdered to silence her?
"Who are you?"
Ji Lingmo's expression exuded an irresistible aura of violence.
"I...I'm called Ya Ya."
Li Yuanyuan wouldn't be foolish enough to reveal her real name.
"I was just passing by, it's none of my business, please let me go."
Her wrist hurt terribly, but she didn't dare utter a sound.
Upon hearing her soft, delicate voice, Ji Lingmo experienced a physical reaction for the first time.
grass
He cursed under his breath. He had been shot in the abdomen and was still bleeding profusely. The most important thing now was to get out of there as soon as possible.
Looking at the girl's pretty face, Ji Lingmo lowered his voice and said, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you, but you have to promise me one thing."
"What...what's wrong?"
Li Yuanyuan's teeth were chattering as she asked, her voice trembling with tears.
"Take me home."
"no."
Li Yuanyuan immediately refused; she dared not share a room with a dangerous individual.
As expected, Ji Lingmo chuckled, "Alright, then you can stay here with me."
How can there be such a domineering person?
After much deliberation, Li Yuanyuan decided to take him home.
Not long after the two left, a group of men in black came looking for them.
"Boss, there's blood here."
Ah San squatted down, wiped away the blood, and said with certainty, "Ji Lingmo must not have gone far. We must find him, otherwise we will not be able to go back and explain ourselves."
"yes."
A group of men in black responded with a strong voice.
At this moment, Li Yuanyuan brought Ji Lingmo back to her apartment.
Ji Lingmo looked around at the furnishings in the room. The cherry blossom pink color scheme gave off a warm feeling, and the air was filled with fragrance.
This apartment isn't cheap, so this girl must come from a well-off family.
He slipped on his slippers and sat down on the sofa without any ceremony, his posture languid and completely unreserved, looking up at Li Yuanyuan and asking, "Do you live alone?"
