Chapter 6 Divorce?

Su Jingjing kept rambling on, "The most important thing about noodles is the soul sauce. The red bowl doesn't have any spice, while the green bowl has some bird's eye chili. If you can handle spice, choose the green bowl; it tastes better with noodles."

After she finished speaking, she noticed that the three men, father and sons, were all looking at her with scrutinizing eyes. Only then did she realize that she had overreacted.

She can't be too different from the original owner, otherwise she'll arouse suspicion. After all, Li Hanting lived with the original owner for four years, and with his keen eyesight, he'll definitely notice something.

"Eat up! Why are you all staring at me? Do you really think I poisoned it?"

Su Jingjing slurped up a mouthful of noodles, almost choking. After swallowing the noodles with difficulty, she slowly said, "See, there's no poison, right?"

"snort......"

Li Cheng'an snorted coldly and turned his face to the other side; he would not accept the old hag's sweet talk.

"Li Cheng'an..."

Li Hanting scolded his son, for he would not allow his son to be so impolite at the dinner table.

Li Cheng'an immediately straightened his attitude; when his father called him by his full name, it meant he was angry.

Li Hanting scooped a spoonful of sauce from the red bowl, mixed the noodles with his chopsticks, and handed it to the two children.

Seeing the two children eating quietly, he then mixed noodles for himself. However, he ate spicy food, and after taking a small bite, a look of disbelief flashed in his eyes. These noodles were chewy and flavorful, and even the noodles in restaurants might not be as good as them.

He lowered his dark eyes without making a sound. Was she really Su Jingjing?

Li Cheng'an had long since abandoned his earlier reserve and was slurping up noodles with gusto. He absolutely refused to admit that the old hag's noodles were delicious; it must be because he was too hungry.

Su Jingjing watched the father and son making the same gesture and chuckled inwardly. But when she looked up, she saw Li Hanting's unfathomable gaze, and her face froze instantly.

If the man continued to look, she would break down, so she pretended to lower her head and add two more mouthfuls of noodles to Yuanyuan's bowl.

Li Yuanyuan paused in her eating, her round eyes wide open, not understanding why her mother was giving her more noodles.

Eat more.

Su Jingjing said something dryly, only to remember the original owner's harsh words after she finished speaking.

Whenever Li Hanting was away, the original owner would put on a stern face and tell Yuanyuan to eat less, saying that she was a money-loser and that eating too much would be a waste, which is why Yuanyuan ate like a kitten.

The doubt in Li Hanting's eyes deepened, and his expression became more solemn. Who exactly is she?

Even though she was very hungry, Su Jingjing only ate one bowl before putting down her chopsticks in order to lose weight.

An'an has already had his third bowl, while Yuanyuan has only eaten a little less than half a bowl. She gets distracted while eating and I wanted to feed her with chopsticks, but I had to give up the idea when I thought about how scared she looked.

Li Hanting was puzzled. Didn't she usually have a large appetite?

Li Cheng'an, enjoying the delicious food, temporarily forgot the old witch's wickedness. He smacked his lips and finished another bowl, then straightened up to pick up noodles from the plate.

With the father and son's strong support, the plate of noodles was almost empty, and he was struggling to pick them up with his chopsticks.

Su Jingjing took his bowl and chopsticks and quickly set them all down to him. Li Cheng'an glared at her, "You...who told you to touch my bowl and chopsticks?"

He didn't believe the old hag meant well; she was definitely putting on an act in front of his father to please him.

"Son, is it delicious? Next time, Mom will make you other delicious food."

Su Jingjing showed the plate in her hand, a smile playing on her lips. She had eaten every last drop, a testament to her culinary skills.

She suddenly had an idea: she could win over the father and son with delicious food. Although Li Hanting remained silent, he ate five bowls, which showed that he was also very satisfied with his cooking skills.

She was secretly delighted. She wasn't good at anything else, but whenever she had free time, she would stay home and study cooking. Although she couldn't compare to a master chef, she could still make a living from food. If it weren't for her scumbag boyfriend saying that setting up a stall was shameful, she would have made a fortune from food long ago.

Li Cheng'an thought the old hag was mocking him, and his face turned red with anger. He looked at the noodles in the bowl, wondering whether he should eat them or not.

Li Hanting watched all this in silence, then turned to Su Jingjing and said, "Come here for a moment."

After saying that, he got up and walked towards his room, instructing the two children not to eavesdrop.

Su Jingjing was startled and inadvertently met Li Cheng'an's gloating smile. She muttered to herself, "Did this kid spill everything in front of Li Hanting?"

Li Cheng'an smiled broadly at the old hag, "Old hag, you're dead."

Dad will definitely divorce her.

Sure enough, this kid's mouth is not tight.

what to do?

I hope she won't be eliminated in the first game.

No, she needs a safe haven now.

She slowly walked into the room, closed the door under the curious gazes of the two children, and turned to face Li Hanting.

The man's eyes were sharp and fierce, like a storm, staring at her menacingly, sending chills down her spine.

"Su Jingjing, how dare you sell two children?"

Su Jingjing squeezed out two tears and immediately cried miserably, "Han Ting, I didn't mean to sell the two children. I was also deceived. Look, I have a wound on my forehead."

While crying, she brushed her bangs aside to reveal her wound. She carefully observed the man's expression, but to her surprise, the man remained expressionless.

She almost couldn't continue her act, and her crying gradually subsided. "No matter what, they are the ones I carried for ten months and gave birth to. How could I possibly sell them?"

That scoundrel has such good self-control; he feels like a complete clown.

How could Li Hanting not see through her acting? He was just curious as to why she changed her mind at the last minute.

He looked down at her, his thin lips parted slightly, "Su Jingjing, you should be glad you didn't sell them at the last minute, otherwise you would be a corpse right now."

Su Jingjing turned pale with fright. "A big shot is a big shot," she thought. She couldn't help but sigh. The original owner was very lucky to have lived safely under Li Hanting's command for four years.

The man's cold voice rang out again, "If something like this happens again, then divorce will be the only option."

He had always considered that his two children were still young and he didn't want them to live in a single-parent family, so he never mentioned divorce.

divorce?

She doesn't want a divorce, at least not now. In this day and age, she's unfamiliar with the place and the people. If she went back to the original owner's hometown, she would be exposed in no time.

Left with no other choice, she could only nod in a muffled voice.

When she opened the door and came out, the father and his two sons were no longer in the living room, and the dining table was spotless, without a single crumb.

I've been busy for a while now and I'm all sweaty again. Phew... Fatty people sweat easily.

As night fell, the moonlight flickered under the cover of dark clouds.

Su Jingjing lay on the 1.5-meter-wide bed, tossing and turning. She was a bit of a bed freak and not used to sleeping on such a hard bed. When she had money, she would definitely put on a softer mattress.

Fortunately, Li Hanting and the original owner slept in separate rooms; otherwise, it would have been even more uncomfortable for a grown man to sleep next to her.

Time passed by, and she was exhausted after a long day. Finally, driven by sleepiness, she gradually fell asleep.
