Chapter 85 Li Aiqin's Complaint

The car slowly drove into the old house, and Xu's mother, who was in the yard, curiously peeked over.

She naturally recognized Liu Yang, who was working alongside the second young master.

Liu Yang got out of the car and greeted Xu Ma first, "Good morning, Xu Ma."

Xu's mother suddenly realized, "Oh, good morning, Xiao Liu, what brings you here?"

"Isn't it because the commander misses An'an and Yuanyuan? So I'm in charge of bringing them over." He didn't mention the commander's ulterior motives at all.

Xu Ma understood; the leader had indeed mentioned the two children a couple of days ago.

Then came the little one's sweet, childlike voice, "Good morning, Grandma Xu!"

His tone was light and cheerful, and he was laughing so hard his eyes were almost closed.

Conversely, An'an, standing to the side, appears more mature.

"Grandma Xu".

Xu Ma loved the two little ones very much, and her face was full of wrinkles from smiling at them.

"Oh, the commander and his wife are both home today."

Liu Yang spoke up at the right moment, "Aunt Xu, there are still important matters to attend to in the army, so I'll head back first."

"Okay, drive slowly."

Military matters are of utmost importance, and Xiao Liu must have taken time out of his busy schedule to come over.

No sooner had Liu Yang left than Chen Shufang came out.

"Aunt Xu, who's here?"

The next second I saw my two grandsons right in front of me, and I almost thought I was seeing things.

Then she laughed heartily, "An'an and Yuanyuan, come here quickly, Grandma has missed you so much."

Li Yuanyuan's legs twitched as she ran into her grandmother's arms. "Grandpa, Grandma, Yuanyuan missed you so much."

Seeing his wife being affectionate with his granddaughter, Li Yuan felt envious and could only stare at his silent grandson.

"An'an, who brought you and your sister here?"

The brat was quite obedient; he only nagged a little yesterday, and today he took An'an and Yuanyuan home.

"It's Uncle Liu."

An'an's words and actions are exactly like that of the brat; she is quite calm in her speech and actions.

"Come on, let's go inside."

Chen Shufang held one in each hand, and the smile on her face never faded.

Suddenly remembering something, he turned to Xu Ma and instructed, "Oh, right, Xu Ma, if anyone comes looking for me later, just say I'm busy today and won't be going out."

She and her husband usually live alone, which can be a bit boring, so she occasionally meets up with her old girlfriends to go shopping and play cards.

"An'an and Yuanyuan, have you had breakfast? Do you want to eat something at Grandma's?"

Chen Shufang asked Xu Ma to bring out the taro cake, "An'an, Yuanyuan, look what this is?"

Fortunately, she asked Aunt Xu to make two more today.

Wow, it's taro cake!

The little guy cheered, his little mouth practically reaching for the taro cake.

"Come on, one for each of us, brother."

The little one looked aggrieved; she really wanted to eat, but her tummy was already full.

"Grandma, but I'm still full."

As she spoke, she patted her belly, saying, "Mom's breakfast this morning was so delicious that I couldn't help but eat too much."

Chen Shufang rubbed her granddaughter's belly, and it was indeed bulging.

"Then let's eat later."

She didn't ask much of Su Jingjing; she only wanted her to take good care of Han Ting and the two children.

She has come to terms with those vague and unreliable things about her family background.

Anyway, the Li family doesn't want to sell their child's marriage. Even when Huanhuan gets married, it has to be someone she's satisfied with.

With the arrival of their two beloved grandsons, the Li family was filled with more laughter and joy.

At this moment, Xu Ma came over and reported, "Madam, Li Aiqin is at the door now."

Chen Shufang's smile froze. Why did she come here?

Initially, she thought highly of Li Aiqin and wanted to become in-laws with the Li family, but Han Ting didn't like her and always treated Li Aiqin with a cold attitude, so she had to give up on the idea.

Who knew that Su Jingjing would beat her to it in the end.

"Let her in."

Regardless, once someone has come to the door, there's no reason to turn back.

Upon receiving the instruction, Xu Ma immediately went out to deliver the message.

"Miss Li, Madam wants you to come in."

Li Aiqin greeted her politely, "Thank you, Aunt Xu."

Xu Ma has been in the Li family for many years, so she shouldn't be offended easily.

Xu Ma lowered her head. For some reason, she felt that the Li family girl was not as quiet as she appeared, and her eyes were not innocent at all.

In this respect, the second young mistress wins hands down. Although she is a bit willful and capricious, at least she is honest.

"Auntie, Aegean has come to see you."

Before you even see her, you hear her voice; from the moment Li Aiqin entered the room, she displayed an obedient demeanor.

But when he saw Uncle Li sitting upright next to him, he couldn't control his expression and his smile became unnatural.

She was most afraid of her uncle, always feeling that he could see through everything, and that she was like a little minion in front of him.

"Hello, Uncle Li."

Li Yuan nodded in response.

"I'll take An'an up first."

As she spoke, she called An'an upstairs, while her granddaughter remained nestled in her mother's arms.

An embarrassment appeared on Li Aiqin's face, as if the Li family did not welcome her.

Li Cheng'an glanced at Li Aiqin across the table out of the corner of his eye; he knew this woman liked his father.

He used to dislike his mother, so he didn't mind if anyone liked his father. But now, he doesn't want anyone to ruin the happy life of the family of four.

Li Aiqin looked at An'an and Yuanyuan, her brows furrowing. How could these two children still be sitting here perfectly fine?

Jinju is really incompetent; she couldn't even handle the smallest things properly.

"Aiqin, your uncle is just like that, don't take it to heart, please sit down."

As Chen Shufang spoke, she patted the spot next to her.

Hiding in her grandmother's arms, Li Yuanyuan stared intently at Li Aiqin; she disliked this person.

"Okay, Auntie, this is a gift I bought especially for you."

“I heard from a friend that this skincare set is very popular overseas, so I thought I would buy two more sets and give them to you.”

Chen Shufang glanced at the skincare products but did not show any shock.

Then she smiled and said, "Aiqin, no need. Your aunt has some left. Please keep them for yourself. Thank you for your kindness."

At this moment, Li Aiqin awkwardly picked at her fingers.

The things that I tried so hard to buy were completely out of reach of the Li family.

"By the way, Aiqin, you didn't come here specifically to give a gift, did you? Is there anything you want to say to your aunt?"

Chen Shufang had no patience for negotiation and went straight to the point.

The other party was too calm and lacked his usual friendliness, which made Li Aiqin feel uneasy.

"Auntie, I heard that Jingjing has been getting better recently, is that true?"

"But I've also heard..." deliberately keeping the other person in suspense.

"What did you hear?" Chen Shufang frowned. Had Su Jingjing gotten into trouble again?

"I heard that An'an and Yuanyuan were almost abducted a while ago, and it was Jingjing who instigated it?"

Regardless of the truth of the matter, Chen Shufang did not want to tarnish Su Jingjing's image in her two grandchildren's hearts. "Alright, don't say these things in front of Yuanyuan."

Then she bent down and gently touched the little one's soft hair.

"Yuanyuan, go upstairs to find Grandpa first. Grandma has something to do."

"good."

As soon as the little guy got off the ground, he ran upstairs again.

Chen Shufang's gaze followed Yuanyuan until she went inside, at which point she turned her attention away.
