"It's been four months since we invested in the Flamelight Base. How could that shabby little base, which has nothing in it, survive until now?"
The computer guy looking at the computer sneered, looking down on the Firelight Base.
The coffee man said, "You don't know this! There's a mutant old tree in the Firelight Base. Maybe they were lucky enough to be protected by the mutant old tree. Otherwise, Xiao Yi and his son, two ordinary people, would be able to live in the territory of the mutant old tree."
"Mutated plants all have their own sense of territory. Unless they voluntarily do so, humans cannot enter their territory and settle there, let alone build a noisy base housing tens of thousands of people."
The computer guy sneered and frowned without refutation.
Because what the coffee man said was right, they all studied this aspect and it was impossible for them not to understand the habits of the mutant trees.
The coffee man took a sip of his coffee and continued, "When my brother returned from the Firelight Base, the mutated old tree was already in the middle stage of the fifth stage. Now it might even be in the middle stage of the seventh stage."
"If we can get its crystal core and extract its data, we might be able to create a plant-based mutant, or at worst a healing mutant."
"Currently, whether it's plant-based or healing-based psychics, most of them are controlled by the government. If we don't create them ourselves, we will only be suppressed by the government in the future."
The computer guy's expression immediately turned ferocious upon hearing this, and he gritted his teeth in anger, "Why should they allow the official suppression of our family? If we hadn't donated supplies in the early days of the apocalypse, the base in the capital city would have been successfully established. Now they want to throw them away after they've served their purpose."
The coffee man, listening, knew that their initial donations were intended to consolidate their position, but he wasn't so foolish as to say it out loud. He told the grumpy computer man, "We have the upper hand in the psychics of our family right now, but they're just a bunch of brute-force warriors who can only fight zombies and can't use their brains. They can't compare to the talent the officials have."
"Plus, they officially have tens of thousands of soldiers. If they really develop a potion that can awaken soldiers one day, do you think there is still a place for our family in the capital?"
"Even if there were, they would drive us out of the central streets and make us live in the corners on the edge of the city. They wouldn't starve us to death, but they wouldn't give us a chance to turn our lives around."
"My father sent my brother to the Huoguang Base last time because it's far from the capital, and the old men in charge can't control it. We can research whatever we want, and we can also make preparations in advance."
"Who knew that Xiao Sheng was so stubborn? Not only did he drive my brother out, he almost beat him to death."
After saying that, he poured a cup of coffee and handed it to the computer guy.
The computer guy took the coffee and said viciously, "Those old guys are so troublesome, just poison them all to death. Once they're dead, the capital city will be our family's territory."
"That's easy for you to say. Those old guys not only have special guards, but they also have some psychics with strange abilities around them. How can we stand a chance against them?"
"Damn it, this doesn't work and that doesn't work, so why are you saying so much?" The computer guy said angrily.
The coffee man remained calm as always and said with a smile, "There's something fishy going on in H City right now. Let's send someone over to investigate. If there really are good resources, we'll take over H City first."
"It just so happens that you've sent quite a few experimental subjects to City H, which will make it convenient for us to conduct direct research when we get there."
"As long as we become stronger secretly, why should we be afraid of what the authorities will do?"
"It would be fine if you didn't mention this, but I get mad when you do." The computer guy pounded the table angrily.
The coffee man raised his eyebrows. "Is it related to the zombie whose positioning chip was just removed?"
The computer guy suddenly took a furtive look around the office. Seeing no one passing by, he whispered to the coffee guy, "That guy is the one who pulled out the location chip."
"Which boy?"
"Fuck, it's that kid from the Ji family."
"Ji Che?" The coffee man was surprised. "Didn't they say that he was infected with the zombie virus and died not long after the apocalypse?"
"What do you mean dead? He has a lot of enemies. Before he could completely transform into a zombie, his enemies threw him into our laboratory as a guinea pig." The computer guy taunted.
"I was interested in his ability to replicate, so I asked the professor for him. I originally wanted to study whether I could extract his ability and keep it for myself. I never knew Ji Che was so ungrateful that he would rather turn into a zombie than cooperate with my experiment."
"Now the only ones left in the entire Ji family are his useless mother and his divorced eldest sister. The two women are running that luxurious hotel that makes a fortune every day. Who knows how many people are worried about them? No one knows how they died."
The computer guy looked like he was enjoying the show, his eyes full of malice.
The coffee man couldn't help but laugh at the computer man, "The divorced eldest daughter of the Ji family is very powerful. As soon as Ji Che was bitten by a zombie, she immediately turned to the authorities. Now that the authorities are protecting them, who dares to rob the Ji family's hotel?"
The computer guy, obviously unaware of this, roared angrily, "No wonder my dad went to put pressure on those two little bitches, but they ignored him. Damn! They must have found some official backing."
"Oh shit, I'm so pissed off."
"What's there to be angry about? Just use your brain."
After saying that, the coffee man stood up from his chair, patted the computer man on the shoulder, and walked out of the office while drinking his coffee and laughing. He seemed to mutter to himself, "Oh my! There are so many mutant zombies in our lab. If one accidentally escapes and bites someone, it will be difficult to deal with! We have to remind them to keep an eye on the zombies."
