The newcomer was a man. He seemed to have just finished a fierce fight; his clothes were tattered and covered in blood.
Lin Jingge looked at the other person but couldn't discern his cultivation level.
"Old man, is this the bow you made for me?" The man saw the all-black bow on the shelf as soon as he entered the room.
It was a dull, grayish black, yet it gave off a mysterious feeling.
Before the shopkeeper could answer, the man rushed forward, shoved Lin Jingge aside, and picked up the bow, weighing it in his hand.
Lin Jingge was pushed back several steps.
She stared at the person who had just made the move. He reeked of blood, perhaps from the blood all over his body, though she couldn't tell if it was from a demon beast or his own blood.
Just now, when the other party came towards Lin Jingge, Lin Jingge felt a murderous aura rushing towards her.
She didn't want to cause any more trouble, so she had no choice but to endure it.
The shopkeeper bent over and rummaged through the boxes he had placed in the corner behind the counter. He learned that Lin Jingge wanted quite a lot, so he searched for a while.
He carried a pile of boxes to the counter, and just as he put the boxes down, he looked up and saw the man testing the bow.
The other party was self-taught and did not need his explanation at all. He directly circulated his spiritual power and condensed a long red bar in his hand on the string.
A moment later, the spiritual energy that had condensed into a strip transformed back into the shape of an arrow, pointing directly at the shopkeeper.
The shopkeeper felt the hairs on the back of his head stand on end when he was being targeted.
He immediately exclaimed, "No, no! Put it down quickly..."
Before he could finish speaking, there was a "whoosh" sound.
A simple red arrow shot straight at his face.
It then brushed past his ear and slammed heavily into the wooden cabinet behind him.
A hole was shot through the wooden cabinet. If more spiritual power had been used, the wall behind the cabinet would probably have been pierced through as well.
The arrow remained in place for a moment before disappearing.
The shopkeeper was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat.
The man, seemingly oblivious, weighed the bow again, gazing at the black bow with obvious delight.
He tossed out a bag containing spirit stones: "I'm very satisfied with this bow. It doesn't need any further modifications. Here's the remaining money."
Before the shopkeeper could say anything, the man took his bow and strode out the door.
The shopkeeper wiped away his cold sweat, and without even counting, quickly put away the large bag of spirit stones.
Lin Jingge watched the whole thing. At first, she thought the man was going too far, but later, all her attention was on the bow.
Lin Jingge hadn't thought much of it from the shopkeeper's description, but after seeing it in person, she realized she had underestimated the bow.
"Miss, here's the box you wanted." After calming down, the shopkeeper quickly greeted Lin Jingge, making no mention of what had just happened.
Lin Jingge didn't say anything more.
Judging from the way the shopkeeper interacted with that person, they seemed like acquaintances.
Lin Jingge took out spirit stones to pay, only to realize she was short one.
He immediately felt somewhat embarrassed.
The shopkeeper never imagined that a great spiritual master could be so poor that he couldn't even afford the cheapest box.
[See? I told you to make more money a long time ago. And it was such a waste of spirit stones to throw them all into the formation before.] Seeing Lin Jingge's embarrassment, Xiao Shi muttered a few words under his breath.
Lin Jingge ignored Xiao Shi.
If it weren't for Xiao Shi's shrewdness and the fact that she had saved up a lot of money on her own, she wouldn't have been able to afford even a box, let alone a spirit stone.
"Alright, alright, one less is one less. Take it and go before I change my mind!" The shopkeeper pulled the spirit stones toward himself and then pushed the pile of boxes in front of Lin Jingge.
"Thank you." Lin Jingge quickly packed all the boxes away using her spatial ring.
Even after leaving the shop, Xiao Shi kept reminding Lin Jingge: "Make money, make money!"
Its private stash of money has been completely taken by Lin Jingge, and it's going to charge interest!
"Alright, alright, I got it. I'll give it to you as soon as I earn the spirit stones, okay?" Lin Jingge smiled helplessly.
Then she gently held Xiaoshi in her arms and rubbed her.
To onlookers, her action seemed rather strange, frequently drawing attention.
Lin Jingge, realizing what had happened, felt a little embarrassed and quickly withdrew her hand.
Lin Jingge found a spot with high foot traffic and sat cross-legged, with stalls on both sides of her.
To put it nicely, it's setting up a stall; to put it bluntly, it's just a tattered cloth with some random things on it.
There's a very small chance you can find a treasure at these little stalls!
However, Lin Jingge had no interest in these things. She simply glanced at both sides and then began taking things out of her spatial storage.
She has rags too.
A cloth was placed on the ground, and then Lin Jingge took out a wooden plaque and paper and pen.
Xiao Shi, who had originally thought Lin Jingge was going to kill wild animals to earn money, was dumbfounded.
[GeGe, aren't we going to kill monsters?] Xiao Shi asked tentatively.
He jumped around in front of Lin Jingge, trying to get her attention.
[No need to kill wild animals, I want to go back to my old ways today.] Lin Jingge found Xiao Shi's bewildered reaction quite amusing, and a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips.
[Old, old profession?] Xiao Shi hadn't realized for a moment what Lin Jingge's old profession was.
However, it didn't take long for it to realize this.
Isn't Gege's original business in StarCraft just repairing things?
They started out in the repair business before learning forging techniques.
With a smile, Lin Jingge quickly wrote the words "Repairing all kinds of magical artifacts" on the wooden board, and then placed the sign next to the stall.
Her empty stall, with only a wooden sign, was quite novel and attracted the attention of many people.
Lin Jingge sat cross-legged for a long time, but no one came forward to ask her anything.
There were many onlookers, but most of them were just there for the spectacle.
The vendors next to her had already sold most of their miscellaneous spiritual herbs and flowers, leaving only some plants covered in mud and whose appearance was no longer discernible.
The man also seemed interested in Lin Jingge's stall, keeping a close eye on her movements.
But to his surprise, even when he was almost closing up shop, no one was interested in buying from him.
Seeing that he had sold almost everything, and filled with curiosity, he moved closer to Lin Jingge.
"Is it really true that it can fix everything?" he asked.
Lin Jingge had already noticed the other person's actions, and upon hearing this, she immediately nodded: "We'll know if it can be fixed after we see it."
Lin Jingge didn't agree to the other party's offer; instead, she wanted to inspect the item first. In the past, Lin Jingge would have readily agreed, since she could repair almost anything. But now, resources were limited, and she dared not make such a boast.
