Chapter 206 Inquiry

"Wasn't this place supposed to be abandoned? How come there are still people living here? And they're new students?!" Zhao Ya's eyes widened when she saw this place, and then she exclaimed in surprise.

Upon hearing this, Qingjian realized what was happening, and his brows furrowed slightly.

Indeed, no one has lived in this place for hundreds of years; it has simply remained uninhabited because it has not been demolished over the years.

"Ask later. Now, go and call Lin Jingge out for me. I have something urgent to do." Qingjian pushed Zhao Ya.

Zhao Ya was startled and looked at Qing Jian as if he were a freak.

She had known Qingjian for so long, and she had never seen Qingjian like this before.

Such drastic changes are bound to seem strange!

"What are you looking at? Hurry up and go." Qingjian frowned even more and urged him.

Unlike others, Zhao Ya was not afraid of Qingjian.

Her father was the previous dean, who had been in seclusion for over a hundred years, and she was practically raised by Aoki.

"Okay, okay, I'll go right away, Uncle Qing, don't worry." Zhao Ya said with a smile.

After saying that, he quickly slipped inside.

Once inside, Zhao Ya was truly amazed.

Thatched hut?!

When did their South Campus ever have a place like this?!

After walking a few steps, I saw someone planting weeds that looked like spiritual plants in front of the door.

Zhao Ya stepped forward.

"Teacher Zhao?! What brings you here?" The woman heard footsteps, looked up, and saw Zhao Ya. She exclaimed in surprise, and her face instantly lit up with a smile.

Upon seeing this, Zhao Ya frowned slightly; she disliked people who were overly obsequious.

These students are just teenagers, how did they learn these things?

"I'm here to see someone." Zhao Ya composed herself and asked calmly, "Where does Lin Jingge live?"

Upon hearing this, the woman's smile faltered for a moment before returning to normal.

"What does Teacher Zhao want with Jingge?" The woman didn't answer Zhao Ya's question immediately, but asked another question. She didn't call Lin Jingge by her full name, and she also subtly implied that she had a good relationship with Lin Jingge.

Zhao Ya took in all of this man's subtle actions.

"There are some things I can't tell you, just tell me where she lives." Zhao Ya was already a little unhappy at this point.

However, because of his good manners, even if he had no expression, he spoke in a soft voice, making it impossible to tell what emotions he had.

Anyone with a discerning eye should have noticed that Zhao Ya was somewhat unhappy.

Unfortunately, this woman was completely oblivious to social cues.

"Teacher Zhao, please tell me about it. I'm closest to Jingge, and I've heard so much about her..." The woman began to speak, but before she could finish, Zhao Ya turned and left.

"Huh?! Teacher Zhao..."

Zhao Ya didn't turn around and went straight to another thatched hut.

While talking to the woman, Zhao Ya had already scanned the area with her divine sense and immediately found the remaining person there.

Since this woman isn't the one, then the one in the other room must be.

Thinking this, Zhao Ya went up and knocked on the door.

Lin Jingge was sitting cross-legged on the bed with her eyes closed, and a faint spiritual aura could be seen swirling around her.

Hearing a knock on the door, she suddenly opened her eyes.

He then got out of bed, opened the door, and saw a familiar face.

"Are you Lin Jingge?" Zhao Ya asked first, then looked Lin Jingge up and down.

Compared to himself and the woman from before, the person in front of him was dressed very conservatively and simply.

As far as she knew, there was no place in the Cloud Peak Continent where people used linen to make clothes.

This thing is so ugly that people would hate it even if you used it to wipe a table!

"Yes, that's me. Teacher Zhao, is there something you need?" Lin Jingge had finally managed to enter a meditative state, but she was interrupted after only a short while, which made her a little annoyed.

There was no smile on his face; his expression was completely blank.

"It's fine as long as you are. It's not me looking for you, it's the dean looking for you. Come with me."

Lin Jingge was startled at first, then looked up, her brows furrowing slightly: "The dean wants to see me?!"

"Um."

"Does Teacher Zhao know why?"

"have no idea."

"I..." Lin Jingge wanted to ask something more, but Zhao Ya thought she was talking too much and was delaying things.

He grabbed Lin Jingge and pulled her away, just like he had dragged her away with Qingjian before.

She had only taken a few steps when the woman who was planting the spiritual plants ran over: "Jingge, you stay with Teacher Zhao..."

"Get out of my way!" After a few words, Teacher Zhao clearly couldn't stand this person, so she pushed the person blocking her way aside and pulled Lin Jingge away.

The woman stomped her foot in anger at Teacher Zhao's action. However, she dared not vent her anger.

She was different from those people. She knew a lot about the South Academy. Teacher Zhao was the daughter of the previous dean, and not just anyone could offend her. If she could curry favor with her, she could have as many cultivation resources as she wanted!

The woman stared at the two figures in their outrageous pose, and at Lin Jingge's dazed expression, pinching her own hand.

She has always been a bully who preys on the weak and fears the strong. She dared not offend Teacher Zhao and could only vent all her anger on Lin Jingge!

Lin Jingge was hurriedly following Teacher Zhao's footsteps. She had no idea that she hadn't done anything, yet someone already hated her.

How pitiful! Truly pitiful!

After walking a few steps, we arrived at the door.

For some reason, Lin Jingge felt a pang of guilt when she saw Dean Qing waiting at the door.

She thought back on what had happened before, thinking that she probably wouldn't be discovered.

Thinking about it this way, I felt much better, and the guilt in my heart dissipated considerably.

"You're Lin Jingge?" Qingjian looked at Lin Jingge, who was a head shorter than him.

"Hmm." Lin Jingge responded, then asked softly, "Dean, Teacher Zhao said you wanted to see me?"

"There are some things." Qingjian stared intently at Lin Jingge: "You know about what happened on the back mountain, right?"

With the person already in front of him, Qingjian was no longer flustered.

Looking at the person in front of him, whose cultivation level was only that of a Great Spirit Master student, Qingjian's intuition told him, for some reason, that the person he was looking for was Lin Jingge!

If he had any doubts after hearing the name at first, those doubts were dispelled after meeting Lin Jinge.

Lin Jingge originally wanted to appear very nervous upon seeing the dean, but she found that she couldn't be nervous at all.

You should know that when she was in interstellar space, she won awards from childhood to adulthood, and she had met and interacted with teachers, principals, and marshals. She was not afraid at all.

In the end, she simply stopped pretending and just kept her head down.

Lin Jingge nodded upon hearing Qingjian's words.

"Of course we know. With such a big commotion on the back mountain, probably no one in our entire South Courtyard is unaware of it."

Where were you when the mountain behind collapsed?

Upon hearing this, Lin Jingge looked up abruptly, her shock meeting the other person's gaze.
