Grandma Lin spent the whole morning at the Lin family home and finally managed to suppress Qian Duoduo's spiritual energy outburst. However, it was missing a key ingredient, so it was ultimately just treating the symptoms, not the root cause.
"Master Qian, there is actually another way to cure the spiritual energy disturbance," Granny Lin said after putting down the prepared medicine.
Her words undoubtedly gave Qian Zhong new hope.
Seeing the hopeful look in the other person's eyes, Granny Lin didn't keep her in suspense and said directly, "The Heart-Clearing Pill is more effective than the soup made from the Blazing Flame Flower, and it can completely eliminate the hidden dangers of cultivation caused by the surge of spiritual energy."
"You mean the Heart-Clearing Pill?! That's a mid-grade Yellow Rank pill! Where am I supposed to find an alchemist right now?!" If it weren't for Granny Lin's serious expression, Qian Zhong would have thought she was trying to amuse him.
"There happens to be this kind of pill at the Treasure Pavilion auction next month. As long as we can suppress your son's riot before we get the pill, that should be enough."
After saying that, Granny Lin, who had exhausted her spiritual power, coughed a few times and looked up at Qian Zhong: "During this period, I can send you a bowl of medicine every day to suppress the surge of spiritual energy."
Although he didn't know how the other party knew that the Qingxin Pill would appear at the auction next month, Qian Zhongxin was already mostly convinced by the other party's confident appearance.
His furrowed brows relaxed slightly: "What do you want?"
"I don't ask for much, I just want Mr. Qian to help me bid for a medicinal herb at the auction."
The two reached a deal, and Granny Lin returned to the front hall to find Lin Jingge before leaving.
"Grandma, shall we stroll around for a while before going back?" Lin Jingge led Liu Yan and Grandma Lin along the streets of Lingyun City.
She always came and went in a hurry when she came to Lingyun City, and she had never explored it. Now that she had some money, she should buy all the things that were missing from her home.
With Grandma Lin's permission, Lin Jingge pulled Liu Yan along to look at the stalls on both sides of the street.
In the end, Lin Jingge didn't buy anything, but instead bought Liu Yan a rattle drum.
The three wandered aimlessly, and before they knew it, they reached the entrance of the alley. Passing through the gloomy alley entrance, a noisy scene was revealed behind a curtain.
All around, many people and monsters were locked in cages and sold.
The interstellar community champions freedom and democracy, and Lin Jingge felt a physical aversion to witnessing such a scene of slave trading.
I was just thinking of pulling Liu Yan to get out of this place quickly.
A bead that rolled down next to Lin Jingge caught her attention.
The round beads are only the size of a thumb, and inside they seem to contain the stars and the sea.
She paused, bent down to pick up the beads at her feet, and as she looked up, she met a pair of clear, silver eyes.
It's a little baby.
With silver hair and silver eyes, it stretched its chubby little hands out of the cage, tilted its head, and stared intently at the bead in Lin Jin's hand.
"Mine." The baby shook his chubby little hands up and down, trying to get Lin Jingge to return his bead to her.
So cute!!
Lin Jingge cried out in her heart, as if bewitched, and unconsciously returned the beads to her hand.
After the little baby took the beads in his hand, he withdrew his little hand, lowered his eyes, and stopped paying attention to Lin Jingge, playing with the beads with both hands.
Only then did Lin Jingge notice that the baby in the cage in front of her even had long, silver eyelashes.
"Is the young lady interested in this baby?" The person guarding the cage saw Lin Jingge stop and immediately rubbed his hands together and stepped forward.
He glanced at Lin Jingge and her group and noticed that they were dressed in the cheapest kind of coarse cloth. Although he felt a little contemptuous, he did not show it and still had a smile on his face.
"This is a once-in-a-century find, would you like to buy it?" the man said, tapping the iron cage.
The baby in the cage was attracted by the sound and turned its head to look at them.
"Sister, she's so cute!" Liu Yan ran over and peered over the cage, startling the little baby inside, who took a few steps back and fell to the ground.
"How much?" Lin Jingge couldn't help but ask the price, but she was puzzled. This baby was the prettiest one they had seen all along, but it was strange that it hadn't been bought.
When Lin Jingge asked about the price, the man's smile deepened: "It's not expensive, just one spirit stone is enough."
Upon hearing the price, Lin Jingge exclaimed, "Good heavens! No wonder it didn't sell; it's just too expensive!"
Lin Jingge glanced at the baby in the cage again, noting its delicate features and unique eye color.
As she was examining the baby, the baby seemed to sense something and looked up to meet Lin Jingge's gaze.
In that instant, Lin Jingge suddenly felt that even a spirit stone was cheap!
It wasn't until she got home that Lin Jingge realized what she had done.
She actually bought a baby?!
She already had a baby at home. Did she think she had too much money or too much food? She actually bought the baby!
"Grandma, why didn't you stop me?" Looking at the little cutie sitting on the somewhat dilapidated bench, swinging her two short legs, Lin Jingge felt like she was bewitched.
"I didn't say anything because I saw you really liked it." Grandma Lin didn't think much of it and instead said with a smile, "It's alright, it'll be more lively with another person in the house."
When dinner was served, a bowl of porridge meant for the silver-haired baby was placed in front of her. Lin Jingge looked at the baby's chubby little hands and even went next door to borrow a spoon.
To everyone's surprise, the other person didn't even glance at it, and started drinking directly from the huge bowl that was bigger than their face.
The whole family's eyes were fixed on the baby. Even Liu Yan forgot to put her favorite rice porridge into her mouth and stared blankly at the baby's movements.
