Upon returning to the Qian family home, Lin Jingge didn't say much when questioned by the family members, only stating that this was her younger sister.
Liu Yan followed behind with her head lowered, not saying a word, occasionally glancing around out of curiosity, until Lin Jingge led her into the room.
After sitting down on the round stool, she heard Lin Jingge's concerned inquiry as she sat beside her. She sighed and recounted the entire incident in detail:
“I’ve been wandering around for the past few days, and my life has been very unstable. Eighty percent of the people on the entire Canglan Continent have been invaded by demonic energy. I can clearly sense that these people are surrounded by a thin gray mist.”
Although Lin Jingge was mentally prepared, she still felt a sudden pang in her heart when she saw the wound on Liu Yan's thin face.
She paused, then continued, "Even so, why didn't the people of Phoenix Valley take proper refuge, but instead fought those demons here?"
Lin Jingge was completely baffled. Liu Yan was still very young, and when they parted a few years ago, she was only about seven years old. Even two years later, she would only be ten. Did the people of Phoenix Valley really need to hire child laborers?
She looked up and met Liu Yan's determined gaze, feeling a surge of emotion.
Who could have imagined that the child who was once crying would suddenly become so responsible and grow into a strong and upright young adult?
No one can imagine the immense hardship and pain that must have taken for this child to grow up so quickly.
"To save the world and my entire tribe, I have no other choice."
Liu Yan's words were forceful and resolute, even carrying the lingering sweetness of a child's voice. Even so, her words deeply moved Lin Jingge.
After saying this, Liu Yan closed her eyes slightly in pain, her long eyelashes fluttering as if she were recalling some painful memory.
The room suddenly fell into a deathly silence, so quiet that they could hear each other breathing.
Lin Jingge frowned uneasily, observing the other person's every move. From her gestures and mannerisms, she could already tell she was no longer the little girl she once was. Time brings so many changes: "And then what?"
"Later, the Valley Master sent out to gather information and learned that demonic energy had invaded the continent of Canglan. Most people had been tainted by the demonic energy and turned into mindless monsters that could only bite people and pollute the spiritual energy."
"Later, the Valley Master discovered that there was a spring in Phoenix Perch Valley that could suppress demonic energy, so he gave a death order for everyone to be mobilized to save the world. I wasn't originally alone, but I was separated from the others by the attack of the demons. Then, I met you." Liu Yan raised her eyes and gestured with her gaze.
"If we hadn't met by chance today, I really don't know where I would have gone next. I got separated from them in this area, and now my most urgent task is to find the others who were with me."
"Don't worry, they'll be alright. It's dark now, and the roads are difficult to walk on. Tomorrow I'll take you to the vicinity where you got lost to look for them," Lin Jingge comforted Liu Yan, holding her cold little hand.
The next day came quickly, and Liu Yan, who had something on her mind, woke up early in the morning.
Lin Jingge took her to find someone.

While other places were shrouded in demonic energy, Wildflower Village remained fragrant with flowers, and the surrounding area was peaceful. This was all thanks to Lin Jingge. In the beginning, besides leading people to rescue the city, her primary concern was this village where she had once lived.
She once led a group of people and spent a whole day rescuing everyone in the village.
In just a few days, Wildflower Village seemed to have returned to its former tranquility, completely different from its previous dilapidated state.
Many villagers looked at Lin Jingge with admiration when they saw her.
Then they looked at the little girl next to Lin Jingge with curious or doubtful eyes, muttering to themselves. Some of them showed a look of sudden realization, as if they recognized Liu Yan as the child.
Lin Jingge gave a brief explanation to the people around her, and then took Liu Yan back to the village chief's house.
The village chief of Wildflower Village was found inside the village chief's house.
"Village chief, could you gather all the capable people in the village to help look for her? Liu Yan has gotten separated from her companions," Lin Jingge said.
"Of course, everyone would be happy to do something for Miss Lin." The village chief of Wildflower Village nodded and, without saying a word, led Lin Jingge and the others to gather people, his legs not too clumsy.
Immediately afterwards, he called over the villagers who were usually strong and robust, who were used to tilling the land, and gathered them together here.
When everyone heard that it was Lin Jingge, their great benefactor, who needed help, they all thought it was an important task and quickly brought out hoes and various farming tools to be ready.
"Thank you all so much for your kindness." Lin Jingge looked at the group with slight gratitude, then added as if remembering something, "I would appreciate it if you could help me find the people who were traveling with my sister. Please be careful while you are searching, and if you spot any demons, shout for help immediately! I will appear right away!"
"Ms. Lin, please rest assured, your matter is our matter."
The group stood in neat rows, their spirits high, all happy to be able to help Lin Jingge.
She then led them to the location Liu Yan had mentioned to search.
It was the neighboring village next door, which had been abandoned after the demon outbreak. Now, the people who were rescued have been incorporated into Wildflower Village.
The place is rather desolate, surrounded by dilapidated houses and traces left by a large number of people walking around. The mud is thick and weeds grow all over the large rocks.
Moss covered everything, and occasionally there was an unpleasant smell, forcing us to keep going by following our noses.
