Chapter 55 Qian Suisui's Regret

Those people dispersed, which relieved the person hiding at the door.

The room was dark with no windows, so Lin Jingge couldn't see the other person's face clearly, but she felt that the other person was someone she knew.

Before I could even let my guard down, I heard someone speak.

"Were you the one at the courtyard gate today?" Qian Suisui held a bead in her hand. After she infused the bead with spiritual power, it emitted a white light.

Upon hearing the voice, Lin Jingge recognized Qian Suisui as the person who saved her, and now, through the white light, she was even more certain of her identity.

When Grandma Lin saw Qian Suisui, she knew that the other woman had something to say to her granddaughter, so she pulled Lin Shu to a place to sit in the room and did not disturb the two of them, but just listened quietly.

"So what if it is?" Lin Jingge glanced at Qian Suisui.

The white light was very close to Qian Suisui, directly illuminating her skin and turning it pale.

At this moment, Lin Jingge realized that she could no longer see through Qian Suisui.

At first, she thought Qian Suisui was simple and kind, and she had always been on good terms with her, even to the point of being close friends. But recently, Lin Jingge realized that Qian Suisui seemed to be different from the Qian Suisui she knew.

Perhaps she misjudged people from the start.

But now that the other party has offered help, Lin Jingge has overturned her previous thoughts, feeling that Qian Suisui is hard to understand.

“I…” Qian Suisui stepped forward, stared at Lin Jingge, and opened her mouth.

Seeing the other person instinctively back away, the words she already found difficult to say became even more stuck in her throat, causing her great discomfort.

"I know you won't believe me no matter what I say now..." Qian Suisui opened her mouth, but finally said the words. She didn't have much time left, and the spiritual weapon she was using to conceal her aura wouldn't last long with her spiritual power.

"Miss Qian, please speak your mind." Lin Jingge turned her face away, refusing to look at Qian Suisui.

"I don't know how you offended someone like Chu Wang. Do you know what he offered in exchange for you from my Qian family?"

"What did he take?" Lin Jingge was a little curious, but the male lead had a lot of good things in his possession. He had also gone to the capital with Ling Wei before. With Chu Wang's luck as the chosen one, he probably had all sorts of good things in his pocket.

“She offered my father a spot in the Royal Secret Realm in exchange,” Qian Suisui said in a deep voice. “So my father will absolutely not give up this opportunity.”

"He's certainly willing to spend that much," Lin Jingge scoffed.

But then I thought about it again and understood.

It's just a spot in the secret realm; Chu Wang will definitely find a way to get in. What difference does it make who gets the extra spot? Thinking this way, it's surprising how Chu Wang seems to have suffered no loss whatsoever.

"Then why are you here?" Lin Jingge looked at Qian Suisui again.

His gaze was cold and sharp, and his naturally hanging hands were already circulating the spiritual energy throughout his body to prevent the opponent from making a sudden attack.

Lin Jingge was sufficiently vigilant, always keeping a distance of more than one meter from Qian Suisui.

"I know I was wrong before, I was just temporarily blinded by greed..." Qian Suisui said, her eyes red.

When her best friend, who had always lagged behind her, suddenly surpassed her one day, and at a remarkable speed, Qian Sui Sui, who had been pampered since childhood, had never experienced such a disparity, and the jealousy that grew in her heart intensified.

When she came to her senses, she realized that she had done something inappropriate.

“I know I’ve wronged you…” Qian Suisui said, choking back tears.

She took out a cloth-wrapped package from her storage bracelet and tried to hand it to Lin Jingge, but every time she took a step closer, Lin Jingge took a step back.

In the end, her eyes were filled with bitterness.

"These are some things I prepared for you." Qian Suisui placed the cloth bag on the ground, and then placed the stone that could shield her aura on the unwrapped side: "There's not much I can do for you. Tonight at midnight, the South Gate will open, and you can take this opportunity to escape."

After giving her explanation, Qian Suisui prepared to leave. Before leaving, she turned back and glanced at Lin Jingge: "We're still friends, right?"

Qian Suisui's eyes regained their former purity, and her eyes were full of hope.

Lin Jingge didn't look at her; she was afraid she would soften her heart.

There are not many people who can be considered Lin Jingge's friends. In the interstellar world, she spent all her time in the laboratory researching various mechs and had no peers to play with. When she arrived in the other world, she was also constrained by the world's rules and had a storyline.

Looking back now, I realize that the only person I can truly call a friend is Qian Suisui, but now, Qian Suisui has done something that feels like a betrayal to me.

Only she herself knew how much she hated Chu Wang; even Granny Lin probably didn't hate Chu Wang as much as she did.

But Qian Suisui is close to such people, and it's even possible that Qian Suisui is one of Chu Wang's concubines.

But then another thought suddenly popped into her mind: Qian Suisui was now willing to turn back and help her, so was it because she had misunderstood something before?

Two conflicting thoughts were raging in her mind, and she didn't know which one to believe.

She thought silently, and didn't give Qian Suisui a second glance until she left.

Grandma Lin stepped forward, as if sensing Lin Jingge's sadness, and patted Lin Jingge's shoulder.

Lin Shu glanced at Lin Jingge, then took short strides and ran to the things Qian Suisui had left behind.

He recognized the stone; it was a spirit-sealing stone, capable of concealing one's aura. It was the perfect disguise, since in this world where everyone used their divine sense to observe, no disguise was of any use.

He then rummaged through the package and found quite a few things inside, mostly spirit stones.

Judging from this, it seems that Qian Suisui has given all her belongings to Lin Jingge.
