The living room of the Jiang family.
Gu Yan and Jiang's mother sat side by side on the sofa, both smiling and chatting. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought they were mother and son.
Jiang Duoduo had a terrible headache when she saw this.
Gu Yan noticed the commotion at the door, looked up, and said very naturally, "Duoduo's back? I'm teaching Mom how to play mahjong, would you like to come and learn too?"
Hearing Gu Yan's reminder, Jiang's mother realized that Duo Duo and Ji Yue had come in.
Of course, she didn't pay much attention to how the enthusiastic boy Gu Yan addressed her.
Just as Jiang Duoduo was about to walk towards Gu Yan, Ji Yue stepped forward and blocked her way, saying, "It's getting late, go upstairs and go to sleep."
"Okay." After agreeing, Jiang Duoduo said to her mother, "Mom, I'm going upstairs to sleep now."
As for Gu Yan, who was trying so hard to make his presence known, she simply ignored him.
As Gu Yan watched Duo Duo leave, he looked at her retreating figure with concern and said, "Duo Duo, goodnight!"
Jiang Duoduo walked away very quickly without even turning her head.
However, she had only reached halfway up the stairs when she heard voices coming from the living room.
After watching Jiang Duoduo go upstairs, Ji Yue walked to Gu Yan's side, his face cold, and said, "Gu Yan, let's go."
Jiang's mother was unaware of the bond between the two and assumed they were classmates and good brothers. "Xiao Yue, are you in such a hurry to leave? You must be tired after bringing Duo Duo back. Sit down, have some fruit, and rest for a while before you go."
Jiang's mother hadn't yet learned the mahjong skills that Gu Yan had taught her, and she was somewhat reluctant to let Gu Yan leave just like that.
“Okay.” Ji Yue did not refuse Jiang’s mother’s kindness, sat down next to Gu Yan, and stared at him coldly.
Ji Yue's envious and jealous expression made Gu Yan extremely happy.
Hiding his inner joy, he continued talking to Duoduo's mother on his phone: "Actually, if Auntie wants to win, she just needs to remember the cards she needs to win with, and it's best to decide which winning method to use from the beginning."
"Hmm." Mother Jiang nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite.
Jiang Duoduo was squatting on the middle floor, listening for a long time. It was basically all the conversation between Gu Yan and Jiang's mother.
When she didn't hear Ji Yue's voice, she assumed he had already left. Feeling bored, she was about to get up when...
Just as Gu Yan and Jiang's mother were having the most heated discussion, Ji Yue casually said, "I see that Auntie and Gu Yan get along so well, why don't we adopt Gu Yan as our godson?"
Jiang's mother was taken aback for a moment, then realized what she meant, "That's great!" She turned to Gu Yan, "Would Xiao Yan like to have Auntie as his godmother?"
"Of course I'm willing, godmother!"
Gu Yan grinned, but halfway through his sentence, he sensed something was wrong and glanced warily at Ji Yue.
Ji Yue suddenly came up with this idea; he must have something up his sleeve. He can't fall for it.
However, Ji Yue didn't give him a chance to refuse. "What? Gu Yan doesn't want to?" He turned to Jiang's mother and said, "Hey! Auntie, I think he doesn't want to recognize you as his godmother at all. Let's not make things difficult for him."
Gu Yan frowned. "Why wouldn't I want to?"
"Oh." Ji Yue paused meaningfully, then said to Jiang's mother, "Auntie, it seems Gu Yan has agreed."
Jiang's mother smiled kindly at Gu Yan, clearly quite pleased with this godson.
At this moment, Ji Yue looked innocently at Jiang's mother and said unhurriedly, "Auntie, can I tell Duoduo and Ye Nian tomorrow to recognize Gu Yan as their sworn brother?"
"Yes, yes," Jiang's mother nodded quickly.
Jiang Duoduo, who was eavesdropping on the stairs, almost burst out laughing. She covered her mouth and ran back to her room.
I have to admit, Ji Yue is too ruthless!
