Chapter 17 Quarrel
Bruce saw Zatana shaking her head and guessed that it was not the magic side.
Maybe Rong Huan has mutant genes, so she can use healing abilities.
Rong Huan was unaware of the eye contact between the two adults; she just wanted to go to the garden to sunbathe.
Yesterday, Ah-Fu trimmed the trees in the garden. The shade of the trees just covered the little girl. She liked sitting on the grass and feeling the breeze.
When the eyes cannot see, the other four senses become much more sensitive.
Rong Huan has been deliberately training her hearing and sense of touch recently.
There's no other way. I don't know when my eyes will recover, so I have to leave myself a way out.
Rong Huan stretched out her hands, and the breeze blew through the grass, bringing the fragrance of green grass to her face.
She was enjoying it and didn't notice that a pair of eyes were staring at her from the second floor.
"So you suspect Xiaorong is not an ordinary person?"
Zatana took a sip of her tea.
"I'm not doubting it. I'm sure she has some ability, but she's hiding it. It's obviously not magic. I suspect she may have mutant genes."
Bruce stood at the window and looked at the small figure on the lawn.
The little girl looks harmless, but what she does makes people have to be on guard.
From bomb defusing to healing abilities, any of them will cause a sensation.
Zatana looked at Bruce.
"That school for gifted people you want to send her to?"
Bruce turned around and decided not to let Rong Huan leave Gotan for the time being.
Before he figured out the power behind the kid, he would try to test the mutants.
Zatana came and left quickly. Before she left, she gave Rong Huan a blessing magic.
Looking at the frail appearance of the little girl, adults always have to worry a little.
Dick Grayson also returned to Bloodhaven a few days later.
He didn't take much leave, and this time he came back not only to see Rong Huan, his new little sister.
More important is the conflict between him and Bruce.
Rong Huan listened to Dick's nagging instructions, thinking absentmindedly that her stepfather and brother seemed to have quarreled several times.
The first time I heard it was when Rong Huan got up in the middle of the night to drink water. She had eaten something salty that night and was extremely thirsty.
Not wanting to disturb the old housekeeper's rest, he could only grope his way to the kitchen to get some water.
I finally found the water bottle in the kitchen and was about to pour it into my mouth when I heard Dick's suppressed angry voice from the end of the corridor.
"Bruce, I really don't understand why you always want to control me?!
I thought you would treat your family and friends sincerely, but what did you do?
Surveillance, constant surveillance, I'm really fed up with it!"
Rong Huan hadn't figured out what Dick meant by "surveillance".
There was a loud thud and something heavy fell to the ground. Then Dick kicked the door open and walked out.
Maybe it was because he was too angry or Rong Huan was too short, but Dick didn't notice there was a child eavesdropping in the kitchen.
He never understood Bruce's behavior, and he didn't even give his true heart to his former partner.
He only now realizes that Batman has been monitoring them.
Dick Grayson is in his rebellious phase.
From being adopted by Bruce to becoming the first Robin and finally changing his name to Nightwing, Bludhaven, he never felt the love of his adoptive father.
Alfred raised him since he was a child. Bruce went out to flirt with magazine girls during the day and patrolled at night.
He just wanted Bruce to care about him, even just a few words, but Dick couldn't remember how many times he had been disappointed.
Too much disappointment will turn into anger and despair, and he doesn't want to go on.
When he saw Jason, it was like seeing his past self.
Dick stood in the garden, looking at the bright moonlight and laughing at himself.
Bruce will never stop at one person, Jason will become the second generation of Robin.
Batman has a new sidekick, and Nightwing means nothing to him.
Rong Huan listened carefully to the movements in the study and found that no one came out. She walked back with difficulty and met Jason at the stairs.
Jason Todd had just changed out of his uniform and came out to find the door of Rong Huan's room next door open.
The person was not in the bed. He was a little worried and wanted to go down to look for her, but then he saw Rong Huan walking up tremblingly like the old lady.
Jason breathed a sigh of relief as he watched her climb the last flight of stairs.
He held the little girl's hand that was about to reach his mouth and asked,
"Hey, why aren't you sleeping? Do you know you can't see?"
Rong Huan was surprised to feel such a soft object and was about to squeeze it when she heard Jason's voice.
Guilty, he withdrew his hand, unconvinced, and retorted.
"I didn't run around. I was thirsty and went downstairs to drink some water."
Jason rolled his eyes and realized that the child in front of him couldn't see him before continuing to lead people to the room.
Until he saw Rong Huan covered herself with the quilt and was about to leave, the little girl grabbed the corner of his clothes.
"Jason, I just heard Brother Dick and Daddy arguing. Brother Dick was so angry."
Jason paused, he knew about the conflict between Dick and Bruce.
He had seen them quarrel many times, and he vaguely understood Dick's anger.
Because after he became the second generation of Robin, Bruce did not allow him to kill people during the night patrol, he actually did not understand.
Those poor, vicious and evil people have done a lot of bad things, even killed people, why can't they make the bad guys pay the price?
But Bruce told him that he would become a criminal, and criminals can only be punished by law.
law?
Tsk, Jason sneered in his heart, if Gotham’s laws really worked, would this city become like this?
Those guys at GCDP are just lazy and take bribes.
Every time the police went out for a call, the criminals were subdued by Batman before they came back for rape. Jason got angry when he thought of the faces of those people.
Jason turned around and looked at Rong Huan's sleepy face. He reached out to tuck the corner of the quilt for her and then spoke lightly,
"The fight was because Dick was having a rebellious period. It's nothing serious."
Rong Huan couldn't resist the sleepiness and fell into a deep sleep after a nod. She didn't hear Dick's voice when she had breakfast the next morning.
Ah Fu said he went out to visit a friend and would not be home all day today.
But later even the slow-reacting Rong Huan noticed that something was wrong.
Dick and Bruce appeared in the same place less and less, and the time when the family gathered most was at the dinner table.
Dick often talks to Bruce with guns and sticks in his mouth, and even uses words he doesn't understand, such as "surveillance, night patrol".
Bruce was always silent and ignored what Dick said, but Rong Huan could feel that he was in a bad mood.
Bruce would only snap when Dick mentioned those words, and dinners usually ended in a sour mood.
Bruce also didn't go the day Dick Grayson left on the ship.
Rong Huan was dragged back to the manor by Jason, where Ah Fu was pruning branches in the garden.
Rong Huan also ran to help, but she couldn't see and could only cut wherever she could feel.
So wherever Rong Huan passed by, there was no grass growing.
A large chunk of the expensive purple-leafed cherry blossoms was cut off, and from a distance it looked like a patch of baldness.
Rong Huansi had no idea that her destructive power was comparable to that of a husky, and she was having so much fun that she forgot everything else.
Then I heard a message from my assistant whom I hadn't seen for a long time.
"Host, your eye disease is about to end. You are expected to recover your vision in an hour."
Rong Huan almost jumped up when she heard this exciting good news. Her blindness has brought so many problems to her life!
She tried to keep a normal expression, handed the scissors to Ah Fu, and walked towards the manor.
Finally, after an agonizing hour, she felt that the darkness in front of her eyes was no longer pure black.
Instead, it slowly dissipated into gray, like a mist covering the eyes.
Rong Huan gradually saw the coffee table and TV in front of her and was extremely excited.
She was just about to share the good news with her family when she saw Jason coming out from the end of the corridor.
