Chapter 2: Fraud requires skills
Rong Huan pushed open the door and was stunned by the scene before her.
The paint on the surrounding walls had long since peeled off, revealing a mottled grey color. There was only one word to describe the whole place: poor!
By the time she came out after twists and turns, she was already out of breath.
The scene on the street was completely different from the dead silence she had just seen.
The shop next door was lit with bright and warm lights, and the aroma of food floated in the air as pedestrians walked by.
But Rong Huan had no chance of achieving all this, because she had no money.
Rong Huan simply didn't know what to say. It was difficult for her to find a job with such a small body.
The bags in the hands of passers-by were emitting fragrance, and Rong Huan could only sit on the curb to smell the aroma.
She still had some sense and did not steal the bread and run away.
It was getting late, and Rong Huan's shadow was elongated under the street lights, looking extremely desolate.
The sky of Gotan had turned completely black, the temperature dropped sharply, and Rong Huan crossed her arms and thought about life.
She was thinking about how to solve the problem of food and shelter when she suddenly saw a boy walking in the opposite direction.
The boy was wearing thin clothes with several patches on them. His face looked childish when he looked at it from the side, but his features were smooth.
Her tangled black hair hung down in front of her forehead, with a tuft of white hair in front slightly covering her eyes.
Most importantly, there were four large golden characters on his head: [Target Person].
To Rong Huan, this person doesn't look like a homeless kid at all; he's clearly a golden thigh!
As long as you follow him closely, will you ever worry about where to eat next?
She jumped up and rushed towards the boy.
Jason Todd apparently didn't expect that he would be scammed just by glancing at a girl sitting on the street.
When the child fell to the ground, he was shocked and stood there, with only one thought in his mind:
I swear I didn't touch her!
Rong Huan looked at the boy's expressionless face and even sensed a hint of speechlessness. She was about to dig a castle out of it with her toes.
She originally just wanted to strike up a conversation with the boy... not just make a friendly acquaintance.
He used all his strength to run 800 meters to get to the person, but because he exerted too much force, his legs became weak and he just stuck his butt out in front of the person.
Now that’s good enough, what’s the point of getting to know me? It’s good enough if people don’t think I’m trying to scam them!
Rong Huan tried hard to smile and wanted to say hello first, but the burning pain in her knees made the corners of her mouth turn down.
In Jason's eyes, the child's expression was normal at first, but gradually became weird.
In the end, it seemed like she was neither crying nor laughing.
He took two steps back, fearing that she would freak out on the spot. Although he didn't show it on his face, he had already begun to speculate in his heart.
Could it be that idiot Coulson sent them?
As a member of Crime Alley, Jason did not pay protection fees like the other kids.
But he made a name for himself.
Naturally, Colson, the local boss, looked down on him.
He glanced at the person on the ground. He was thinner than him and not very old.
But judging from his expression, he is not a normal person.
The two of them were thinking their own thoughts, and no one made a move for a while. Rong Huan rubbed her knees secretly and stood up with difficulty.
"you....."
"Are you sent by that Colson gang?"
Jason thought about it again and again before asking. He was just a kid in front of him and he could handle it himself even if anything happened.
Rong Huan didn't understand what was said, she had no idea who Coulson was.
But from the tone of her voice, she seemed to be in conflict with the boy. Rong Huan shook her head tactfully.
"No, I'm his rival, and I came here specifically to see you."
I have to say Rong Huan made the right bet. Although Jason was still alert, he was no longer ready to run away at any time.
He was confused. He had never heard of any other forces in Crime Alley besides Coulson. He didn't recognize the girl in front of him.
"What do you want from me? Do you know me?"
Rong Huan smiled, but her fair face was covered in dust from somewhere, which made her look a little funny.
"I want to cooperate with you. I have a big conflict with Coulson, but I can't defeat him alone.
I heard you're pretty good, so I came to find you, and together we can take down that Colson."
Jason looked at Rong Huan's frail body. Her wrists were so thin that they seemed to break if bent. How could she defeat Coulson?
Rong Huan was furious when she saw Jason Todd's suspicious look
"What do you mean? I may be weak now, but I have a brain. What's wrong with using a trick to defeat him?"
Jason looked at her angry face and couldn't help laughing. This kid is quite funny.
It looked like he was definitely not from Coulson, but probably from Crime Alley. He looked at Rong Huan's frail appearance and said:
"Do you know what I do? Why do you come to me? Aren't you afraid that I will sell you for money? There should be a lot of rich people who like you."
