Chapter 30: Brother?
The sound of a motorcycle roared closer and closer, and Jason arrived first with Rong Huan.
Ah Fu's eyes were filled with a deep smile. He took a step forward and looked at the lady he had been waiting for for a long time.
"Ms. Rong Huan, welcome home."
This is indeed her home. Although there are unpleasant things, there are more carefree memories.
Bits of memories flooded into Rong Huan's mind, and every frame was an important person to her.
Her eyes were hot, her nose was sore, and her tears wanted to burst out.
She tried to hold back her tears and smiled.
"Afu, long time no see."
Damian moved forward curiously and stared at the little girl with red eyes.
Dicky Bird said he had a sister and he kept talking about how cute his sister was at home.
Cute? Damian scoffed. What's the point of being cute?
If she can't fight, then it's of no use. He won't acknowledge this sister unless she can beat him!
She doesn't look like her father's child at all. This was the only thought Damian had when he saw Rong Huan.
Batman has adopted many children of varying ages.
But the same thing is that everyone becomes a little bat, even Jason who ran away from home.
From Nightwing to Robin, all have undergone rigorous training.
Even the relatively clerical Tim Drake was no less capable than a criminal, but the little girl in front of him was clearly not the same.
It is still early autumn, the temperature at night is not low, and the evening breeze is very cool, but she has already put on a thick coat.
With a sick look on his face, Damian keenly noticed that the girl had a Band-Aid on her hand.
The Wayne family rarely get sick except when they are injured. Good physical fitness is a basic requirement to become Batman's assistant.
If Rong Huan becomes a little bat, any of Ge Tan's villains would probably be able to knock her out with one punch.
Not to mention that she is blind, so if she goes on stage, she will be a real blind loser.
"Are you father's daughter?"
Damian walked without making any sound, but he suddenly spoke, which startled Rong Huan.
She was so scared that she thought she saw a ghost, and then she heard Jason say,
"Tsk, Damian, you have nothing to do?"
Rong Huan:.......(The scream got stuck in her throat)
At this time, Tim Drake, who was standing quietly in the back, smiled and said,
"It seems I am the older brother."
Because Tim also walked silently, Rong Huan, who scored twice, trembled again. This time it was Ah Fu who spoke.
"Master Tim, this is Miss Rong Huan."
Rong Huan: ... (angry)
What a mental illness!!!
Perhaps noticing Rong Huan's slightly frightened expression, Tim felt guilty.
He touched the little girl's head and said apologetically,
"Sorry, did I scare you? My name is Tim Drake, and the person who just spoke is Damian Wayne."
Rong Huan was a little surprised. Most of the children adopted by Bruce did not change their names, but used the names given by their biological parents. However, Damian's last name was Wayne.
She asked as she thought about it, and Jason replied nonchalantly,
"Because Damian is the old Bat's biological son, of course his last name is Wayne."
Rong Huan was surprised, she thought Batman was looking for children everywhere because she didn't have any, but she didn't expect that a biological one would sneak in!
The group walked into the living room and Rong Huan sat on the sofa.
In her hand, she was holding the small cookie that Ah Fu had just made. The familiar taste made her very satisfied.
She was enjoying her meal when she heard footsteps at the door, and then Ah Fu called someone.
"My Lord, Mr. Kent."
Clark greeted Alfred, then saw the child with a bulging mouth and laughed.
"Xiaorong, don't eat too much at night, it will give you a stomachache."
Rong Huan nodded to indicate that she understood, and then stuffed another piece into her mouth.
I listened to the main one but not much.
Damian was holding a black cat in his arms, with a hound lying at his feet.
Say hello to his father, then lower your head and continue rubbing Mao Rong.
Bruce looked at the little girl in the middle of the sofa. He had asked Zatana for help after she disappeared.
Because Zatana left a blessing magic on Rong Huan, the magician can use this to track the whereabouts of the blessed person.
However, Zatana's spell failed, and Rong Huan seemed to have evaporated from the world without leaving any trace.
This is not something a child can do. There must be someone pushing the little girl behind the scenes.
Bruce had previously suspected that Rong Huan approached him for some purpose, but when he saw the fragile appearance of the child lying in the hospital, his suspicion changed direction.
Maybe she didn't know it, Bruce thought, she never did anything to hurt them, but saved Jason.
Bruce tried to get Superman to talk to him on the way.
Clark said Rong Huan appeared in the sky above a Chicago farm a month ago, and he showed up in time to catch the falling girl.
Batman, who knew this, remained expressionless, but his hands gripping the steering wheel revealed his emotions.
Rong Huan is his daughter, no matter what happened before, he should protect her.
In fact, he always owed Rong Huan an apology for the past temptations and injuries.
Bruce hesitated for a long time, but finally said what he had been thinking about.
"...Xiaorong, come with me to the study."
Bruce tried to appear calm and then fled the scene, making an excuse to go upstairs to change his clothes.
Jason immediately disagreed. He stood up and was about to take the little girl away.
"Oh, the old bat really wants to interrogate Xiaorong. I can protect her, so he doesn't need to come!"
Tim was the smart one among the kids, and he understood what Bruce meant.
It was difficult to hold the two barrels that were in a rage.
"Wait a minute, Jason, I don't think that's what Bruce meant."
Red Hood couldn't hear anything, just as Batman came downstairs after changing his clothes.
He walked into the study first, turned around and said to Jason,
"I won't do that again. Xiaorong is my child too."
The two people were stunned. Jason asked Tim in disbelief,
"Did you hear what the old bat said?!"
Tim threw his hands helplessly. He had already said that Bruce was not what Jason thought.
The person in question was sitting motionless on the sofa at this moment, and Rong Huan couldn't even eat the cookies.
Would Bruce still be suspicious of her if he suddenly asked her to go to the study?
It really feels bad to be suspected by family members. She couldn't hold it back last time, but luckily the system sent her away.
This time there was no Gold Finger to help her, so she looked for Clark for help.
But Superman is now in trouble himself and is racking his brains to write a war damage report.
Rong Huan was in a state of confusion. Ah Fu saw her nervousness and comforted her.
"Miss, I think the master has realized his mistake."
Rong Huan had no choice but to follow Ah Fu's lead and walk towards the study at the end of the corridor.
Ah Fu considerately opened the door and led the little girl inside.
Seeing him standing by the window looking at the scenery, the old man kindly reminded him,
"Master, the young lady's eyesight is not clear. Please pay attention to her safety."
Bruce, who seemed to be looking at the scenery but was actually considering his next step, turned around and said "OK" in a low voice.
Then he watched Ah Fu leave the study and close the door.
There were only the father and daughter in the spacious study room. No one spoke, and the only sound that could be heard was Rong Huan's nervous breathing.
Bruce took two steps forward and stood in front of the little girl. He squatted down and tentatively held her arm.
"I'll carry you to the stool."
Seeing that Rong Huan did not resist, he picked her up, walked to the big stool in the study, and gently put her on it.
