Chapter 37 Amusement Park
At first, Bruce just pretended to be indifferent and said "hmm" when he heard the child's words, then turned around and went upstairs calmly.
Later, I got more and more used to it and could at least respond with "I love you too", but my ears turned red.
By now Bruce had completely changed. He could even ask questions back after Rong Huan finished speaking, and even teased the little girl so much that she blushed a few times.
Bruce didn't realize it himself, but he was gradually opening up his heart to his family, and Alfred was delighted to see it.
Thankfully, his old man, who never opened his mouth, has finally learned to express his love to his children, though it is limited to his youngest daughter for now.
Today's words made Alfred add Jason Todd's name to the second line on the list.
If we were to ask who in the Wayne family worries Alfred the most, besides Bruce, it would definitely be Jason.
He is most like Bruce when he was young, and is even more arrogant and rebellious than his father was back then.
Because of his different experiences, Jason appears to be more irritable, but also kind-hearted.
It is only a matter of time before two people with similar personalities have conflicts when they are together. If neither of them gives in, the relationship will gradually drop to freezing point.
Alfred wanted Jason to move back home, but unfortunately, every time he came back, he would choose a time when Bruce was not at the manor, and would jump out of the window and slip away as soon as he heard the sound of the door opening.
The main point is that they will never meet again. At that time, Ah Fu thought that perhaps the father and son would never open their hearts to each other in this lifetime.
But the step Bruce took today gave him hope. As long as he could say it out loud, it was progress no matter what.
Seeing Jason standing there, the concerned butler stepped forward to add fuel to the fire.
"Master Jason, I've actually been missing you a lot. I don't think there's any grudge between father and son. You two need to have a good talk."
After he finished speaking, he stopped looking at Jason's expression and went to the garden to prune the branches silently.
Jason Todd was still somewhat disillusioned, so much so that he hadn't come back to his senses even after Alfred had left for several minutes. His quick reaction, which he was usually so proud of, seemed to have shut down.
Clark wanted to say that he wanted to go, but unfortunately Metropolis couldn't live without Superman.
With his super hearing, he heard someone calling for help, so he had no choice but to fly out in his uniform. Before leaving, he remembered to tell Blue to pick up the children the next morning.
After Bruce changed his clothes and went downstairs, and Dick and Tim followed him and prepared to go out, he picked up the little girl and rushed to the motorcycle parked outside the door.
Rong Huan was pinched in the armpit again: ...
Dick also ran out and grabbed Jason who was trying to escape, and pulled him down with a smile.
"Little Wing, let's go out and play together. Let's take the car together!"
Jason was about to refuse impatiently, but Tim suddenly appeared, exchanged a look with Dick, and then each of them pushed the man into the car with an arm.
During this time, he did not forget to hand Rong Huan into Bruce's arms.
Jason Todd, who was unable to resist, raised his fist and threatened to beat up the two men.
Tim sat next to him without any fear. If this punch could land on him today, he would lose!
Bruce had a smile in his eyes. He put Rong Huan in the passenger seat, fastened her seat belt, and then walked to the driver's seat to start the car.
The little bats were arguing and threatening each other in the back. Dick and Jason were sitting on either side. The Red Hood was so angry that he started to dig up dirt on his brother.
"Dickie Bird, don't forget the last time you got drunk at my house and staggered around in your underwear. The photo is still on my phone!"
Dick wanted to steal Jason's phone to delete the photos. It was Jason who got him drunk on purpose. This guy just drank without touching anything!
He couldn't get enough of Jason, so he took his phone and looked through the old accounts.
"Ha, don't be so proud, Little Wing. Have you forgotten the time when you first came to the manor as a child and called me brother?"
Jason's smile froze, and the two of them reversed their actions.
He stretched out his hand and pinched Dick's arm. Damn, if he had known he would be like this, he would never have screamed!
Tim's body was squeezed to the left, then forced to lean to the right. He looked extremely calm, as it didn't affect him anyway.
Dick and Jason noticed Tim's gloating expression and shouted in unison,
"Don't even think about laughing. We have all the photos of you sticking green onions upside down on the plate at the dining table this morning!"
Tim couldn't hold back his anger anymore and tried to grab the two people's cell phones with his hands.
The three of them were arguing in the car, but the smile would not disappear. Instead, it gradually shifted to the face of Rong Huan who was sitting in the front and eavesdropping.
It turns out that the brothers keep each other's ugly photos as a way of keeping each other's affection. She nodded secretly to show that she had learned it.
The car was driving smoothly on the road, and soon a large signboard appeared on the side of the road with the word "Amusement Park" surrounded by colorful bulbs.
Soon after, a huge arch slowly emerged in the distance, with pictures of many small animals painted on it, and laughter could be heard from inside.
Bruce went to park the car, and Rong Huan and the other three stood on the side of the road. The little girl was expecting something and kept asking Dick if Bruce had arrived.
When she asked the fourth time, a big hand lifted her up on the arm, and Bruce's low and gentle voice sounded,
"It seems our Xiaorong can't wait any longer, let's go!"
Dick showed off his "authority" as an older brother, holding Tim's neck with his left hand and Jason's shoulder with his right hand, and followed behind.
The group bought tickets first. Dick went to queue and soon ran over with five tickets, looking as happy as a fool who had just entered the city.
Pulling Jason inside, Tim quietly took a step back and distanced himself from the two of them.
The first stop for everyone was the roller coaster. Bats fly over rooftops and walls during their night patrols every day, and both are more exciting than a roller coaster.
But the problem lies with Rong Huan. She is less than 1.6 meters tall and cannot ride the roller coaster.
Rong Huan stood there obediently, with a smile on her face.
"It's okay, brother Dick, you guys go play, I'll just stand here and wait, I'm a little scared of this."
Bruce didn't move either.
"You go, I'll stay with her."
Seeing someone watching the children, Dick pulled his two brothers towards the entrance.
"Come on, let's go play. Jason, you're not scared anymore, are you?"
Jason, who originally wanted to say no in order to get along with Rong Huan, heard this and even though he knew it was a provocation, he still took the bait.
This was a question of manly dignity, so he refused to back down and immediately got ahead of Dick.
"Who is afraid? Dicky Bird is afraid of you! I am not afraid of anything."
The roller coaster was indeed thrilling. The extremely fast speed and the rotating inverted track made people's adrenaline soar. When they got off, the three of them were very excited and wanted to play it again.
Bruce took Rong Huan to sit down. He noticed that the little girl was clasping her hands in boredom. He saw a stand selling balloons and ice cream in the distance.
"Xiao Rong, can you wait here for a while? I'll be back soon."
Rong Huan nodded, and when she heard the footsteps gradually receding, she began to daydream.
At this moment, a man's voice suddenly sounded.
"Little boy, are you alone? Uncle has some delicious food here, come and eat with uncle."
The man observed her in the dark for a long time and saw that her parents were not around, so he guessed that they had gotten separated.
This child is so good-looking. If he is sold, many people will definitely like him. Then he will become rich!
So he approached and tried to kidnap the little girl, only to find that her eyes were unfocused and completely black.
It turns out he is a blind man. No wonder there is no one around him. Could he have been abandoned?
The man cursed it as bad luck, but when he saw Rong Huan's pretty face, he decided to make the deal.
When Rong Huan heard the unfamiliar voice, she realized that she had met a trafficker. She didn't show it on her face and smiled innocently.
"Uncle, my dad is nowhere to be found. He asked me to wait for him here. Do you really have anything delicious?"
The man's eyes lit up. He was right. His tone was seductive.
"Yes, there are many delicious foods in uncle's house. Come with me and I will take you to eat."
Just as Rong Huan was about to answer, a cold voice answered from the side.
"I say, you want to kidnap my sister? You are a piece of rubbish. I have called the police. I advise you to run as fast as possible. Maybe you can be caught later."
The man was startled and looked at the little boy next to Rong Huan. Although he was not very old, there was a sense of hostility in his eyes, as if he was looking at a dead person.
He quickly ran away in shame, not forgetting to make harsh remarks before leaving. Damian stared into the little girl's eyes and said impatiently,
"What are you doing here? Can't you hear that he is a human trafficker?"
Rong Huan smiled happily and waved her hand.
"I heard you call me sister, Damian."
Damian blushed and then became angry.
"I did that to save you! Who wants to recognize you as a sister? You haven't even challenged me yet."
"I know, I know. Da Mi, you still care about me."
