Chapter 58 Where to Go

Charles saw that Rong Huan was still tense, so he silently focused his strength on her.

"Relax, I won't hurt you. There are many little mutants like you in the school, and they welcome you."

Rong Huan's face became more and more ugly, and she finally couldn't help but said to Charles in the wheelchair,

"I understand the truth, but can you please stop reading my mind?"

Charles was stunned. As an Omega-level mutant, he was very sure that Rong Huan would not feel any discomfort, but the little girl just didn't play by the rules.

He then looked at Rong Huan, his tone apologetic.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I was just a little curious."

Charles was indeed very interested in Rong Huan. The skinny child seemed to have no fighting ability, but she could become the leader of the children. Most importantly, Charles could not read her thoughts.

Rong Huan had no idea what Professor X was thinking, she only knew that if the system assistant started nagging her again she would not be able to hold it in any longer!

The system started to take action the moment Charles read her mind, and of course the means were very simple - chanting.

She endured it again and again, and asked the system questions sincerely.

"Is it considered work-related injury if your host is annoyed to death? Will you give him compensation?"

The system assistant's voice suddenly stopped. There must be money, but it has to come out of the system's "small treasury".

The energy it has worked so hard to gather hasn’t even warmed up yet, so it doesn’t want to give it away(﹏)

The world was finally clean. Rong Huan breathed a sigh of relief and lamented that life was difficult.

But life has to go on, and my little brother (bushi) child has to find a reliable school. Rong Huan looked at Charles's face, which looked like a good guy, and hesitated whether to agree.

The system assistant spoke attentively to divert her attention.

"Host, do you bind Professor X, Wolverine, and Iron Man?"

"Completing this binding will add an additional 300 points when issuing mission rewards."

Rong Huan immediately started to calculate the accounts and found that not only could she make up the points she spent last time, but she might even make some extra money. She agreed to the contract without any hesitation.

Just kidding, the capitalists have finally loosened their monetary policy so of course the workers have to take advantage of it.

Everyone has their own thoughts, and for a moment the atmosphere is extremely harmonious.

After being tied up, Rong Huan looked at the little mutants around him and pointed at Charles with a smile.

"You go to school. It's safer there now."

The children nodded in conviction and no longer rejected Charles and King Kong Wolf's approach.

After all the children were on the plane, Wanda and Pietro followed behind and reached out to Rong Huan, trying to pull her up.

But Rong Huan suddenly took a step back, waved goodbye to them,

"Goodbye, Wanda, Pietro, study hard in school! We'll see you again."

Wanda's smile froze on her lips, and she finally realized that the "you guys" she just mentioned did not include her at all!

She asked in confusion,

"Why?"

She wanted Rong Huan to go with them. They had agreed at the base that the three of them would become a family.

But the rear door of the plane had already begun to rise. Rong Huan stopped looking at the brother and sister and turned to walk towards Iron Man not far away.

Why? She sighed helplessly. It was because she had to complete the mission.

Yes, she originally wanted to get on the plane with everyone. After all, she was a homeless child now, and she had to find a place to live first before considering her development.

But just before boarding the plane, the system assistant suddenly issued a task.

[Temporary mission has been released. Mission content: Go to the Avengers Building. Mission target: Iron Man. Mission time: One hour. Mission reward: Points*300]

When Rong Huan heard the content of the mission, she took a step forward but turned around and returned to her original position. She had a smile on her face, but she cursed the system in her heart.

As she watched the plane take off, she whispered her apologies to Wanda and Pietro.

"Why are you apologizing? Why are you staying here?"

Rong Huan lamented that she started to miss them less than a minute after they left. It turned out that the "comrades-in-arms" had such a deep bond that she even heard auditory hallucinations.

She took a few steps and turned back with a slightly ferocious expression. She was stunned when she saw the angry Wanda and Pietro with a disapproving expression.

She pointed at the two of them in disbelief, her voice trembling.

"Why are you here?! Did the professor leave you behind?"

She apparently forgot about Pietro's ability, and the moment the plane door closed, she teleported to the land at super speed while holding Wanda.

Wanda was still angry. All her anger today was directed at Pietro and Rong Huan. She repeated the question again, staring at Rong Huan.

Rong Huan looked away feeling guilty and looked at Pietro for help.

Although Pietro was also very angry, he softened his heart when he noticed the pitiful look of the little girl. He patted Wanda on the shoulder and signaled her not to scare people.

Wanda was mostly worried, and she also knew that Rong Huan might have some reason to do so, so she reluctantly went forward and hugged Rong Huan, her voice gentle,

"We agreed that if there are any difficulties, we will face them together. You can't abandon us."

Rong Huan was so moved that her eyes were filled with tears. She hugged Wanda's waist back and said, "Girls are the most beautiful things in the world!"

Iron Man watched the whole thing like he was watching a play. He stood there casually, grabbing a handful of melon seeds in his hand, just like the village boss.

He waited until the two little girls were done hugging before he stepped forward.

"Girls, I thought you would like to go to the Avengers Tower and see the guys there!"

Wanda still hates Stark. She only stopped because Rong Huan and her brother stopped her. It doesn't mean she has given up on revenge.

The faint red light in Wanda's palm gradually condensed into a solid object, and then slowly gathered together.

Rong Huan noticed that something was wrong with Wanda, and when she turned her head, she saw that the magic ball in her hand was busy pressing her hand down.

This time she hasn't completed her mission yet. There are only four living people within a few kilometers. If they really want to kill Stark, no one will be able to escape.

Wanda was stopped again and was about to rush forward regardless, but was held back by Pietro and Rong Huan. She finally broke down.

"Why do you want to stop me? I can avenge my parents by killing Stark. Why?!"

Before Rong Huan could explain, Iron Man asked,

"Why do you hate me so much? I never hurt your parents."

Wanda turned her head and sneered as if she had heard a huge joke.

"No? If Stark Industries hadn't sold weapons to those people, how could I have become an orphan? Iron Man, he's obviously an unforgivable bastard!"

Tony Stark's puzzled expression froze on his face. After a long while, the Iron Man armor opened and he walked out. He said to Wanda without any defense,

"I'm sorry, I didn't know those weapons killed your parents. You're right, I'm a bastard, and you have every right to hate me. I have now shut down the weapons production department of Stark Industries, and I should bear your anger."
