Chapter 73 Ability
After returning to New York, life was uneventful for more than half a month. The three children flew to school every day and returned by the same route in the afternoon.
Even Pietro, who usually always sighs, "Stark is so rich," has now gotten used to it.
Rong Huan made many friends in school, especially because of her special abilities.
After much consideration, Charles finally added Rong Huan to the class where Qin and Laser Eyes were.
Most of the courses taught at Xavier's School for the Gifted are in the areas that mutant teachers are good at.
For example, they are taking Hank's chemistry class right now.
Rong Huan half-closed her eyes, supported her head with her arms, and tried hard to resist the strong sleepiness.
She struggled to look up and saw rows of chemical symbols on the blackboard. She heard Mr. Hank's hypnotic voice in her ears.
Her eyelids began to twitch, and when she tilted her head, Pietro had almost put his head on the table.
The laser eyes behind him gave up completely and lay directly on the table, his breathing steady and not affected at all.
After the class was finally over, Rong Huan casually stuffed her textbook into the hole of the desk and tilted her head to make close contact with the desk.
Wanda was not that sleepy at first, but she yawned when she saw the looks of the three people.
It’s not Hank’s fault that his lecture was too hypnotic. It’s because a few of us played games until the early morning last night, and then we slept for a few hours and then started our chemistry class again.
The five-player competitive game that has been very popular recently has also become popular in schools.
Rong Huan had played the game before, and his rank was not low, but even his skills were high enough to defeat the three rookie teammates.
Ray Eyes and Pietro prefer to play on the wing, and the two of them are surprisingly bad at the same thing as agreed upon.
When you besiege an enemy, you can let them kill you in return. Even if the game character falls to the ground and dies, you have to "hug" each other face to face.
The Scarlet Witch, who strikes without hesitation in real life, can't distinguish between friend and foe in the game.
I pressed the game keys and used all my skills, only to find that I was hitting my teammates on the butt.
Rong Huan chose a healing character in the next game, and all the blood recovery function was output to the opponent.
If it weren't for the game rules that prohibit harming teammates, Wanda would definitely get the MVP, the enemy's.
Qin, the only one who was capable of the task, was invincible in her first try. She accurately judged the opponent's thoughts and killed every kid with one punch.
Rong Huan was wandering around the game area like a free-ranging chicken, saving one and not being able to keep an eye on the other.
After one round, she pressed the arrow keys all over again and looked at the big "Failure" on the interface. She didn't know whether to say "MMP" or not.
Pietro stood up and talked to Ray Eyes excitedly, as if it was not them but the opponents who lost.
Rong Huan endured it again and again, and finally smiled tiredly after losing five games in a row.
"You guys had a great time, so don't play again next time."
Even though Rong Huan said she didn't want to play, her body was still honestly preparing to start.
The more we played the game, the more addicted we became. By the time we realized we had to go to school the next day, it was already three o'clock in the morning.
Jean Gray, the top student, put away her notes and reminded her partner when she saw that he was in a bad mood.
"The next period is the professor's class, you better not be distracted."
Rong Huan struggled to stand up. She chose Charles's interest class, which was about teaching little mutants how to control their abilities.
It just so happened that Wanda and the others had also chosen this course, and Pietro only woke up when the professor came in with a wheelchair and looked at them gently.
Charles first called a girl to the stage, and then called Rong Huan up.
Rong Huan didn't understand what was going on, so she sat face to face with the girl for a minute and then got down again.
Laser Eyes watched in shock as she walked down the stairs as if nothing had happened.
Rong Huan turned around and found that her classmates were all secretly looking at her. She touched her face in confusion, but there was nothing.
After Charles announced the end of class, Rong Huan and the others went to the restaurant to eat and asked,
"Why were you looking at me just now? There's nothing on my face."
Qin had a strange expression on her face, staring at her with her laser eyes.
"You don't feel anything?"
Rong Huan:?
She shook her head, picked up the cut steak and put it into her mouth.
"What's it like? That girl? She's pretty."
Qin was speechless and began to explain.
"Fiona's ability is to attack with her mind. She just used it on you, but you didn't react at all."
Rong Huan suddenly realized and called the system assistant in her heart.
"Tongzi, is that you?"
The system assistant is also a bit strange.
"It's not me. I didn't do anything just now. You really weren't affected at all."
It carefully rescanned all the host's data and found nothing abnormal.
The system assistant quickly went offline, and Rong Huan didn't think much about it, and continued to chat with Wanda while eating.
No one was too careless and didn't investigate further, so naturally they didn't notice that Rong Huan's information had changed quietly.
The previously clear background with the unknown words of the biological father slowly turned black, and through the black mist, a few words seemed to be visible...
Friday afternoon classes were mostly completed outside of class, and the little mutants gradually became familiar with their abilities through guidance.
Rong Huan sat on the grass, holding her chin with her hand and dodged the ice hockey that was coming straight at her with an expressionless face. When the boy ran over to apologize, she calmly waved her hands.
He turned around and saw the fireball again. He leaned sideways and felt the burning sensation passing by his ear. His expression twisted a little.
Pietro flashed over, patted the child on the shoulder and laughed.
"Hahaha Xiaorong, they all like you very much hahaha..."
Pietro laughed so hard that he couldn't straighten his back. He glanced at the boy and deliberately moved away, carefully forming an ice ball in his hand.
The ball was aimed at a tree by the lake and started to fly straight toward its destination, but it seemed to be blocked by something in the middle of the lake.
Suddenly it turned at a right angle and quickly approached the two people standing by the lake, almost sticking to the surface of the lake, causing a splash of water.
Rong Huan was fighting with Pietro fiercely and didn't notice the "hidden weapon" that hit her on the back of her head.
"careful!"
Wanda yelled, a red light flashed on her hand, and instantly collided with the ice hockey, causing the ice to shatter to the ground with an explosion.
Rong Huan was stunned and turned around quickly. Wanda's magic blocked the ice ball and failed to catch the splash.
Out of inertia, the lake water poured all over Rong Huan and Pietro's heads.
The two men were soaked like drowned chickens. Pietro pushed his wet silver hair back, and now he couldn't laugh.
The boy was completely stunned. He looked at his hand in disbelief, and was sure that he had just hit the puck towards the lake.
Laser Eyes and Qin came over and saw the whole process. Qin frowned at the strange situation just now.
"Xiao Rong can't possibly be hit standing here. This isn't right."
Several people looked at each other and decided to go find the professor.
Before coming, Rong Huan asked the little mutant who had just spit fire to help dry their clothes.
Qin and Charles briefly described what had just happened. Charles' brows were furrowed, and he obviously didn't know the reason.
He looked at Rong Huan. The little girl was sitting on the sofa. Her clothes were wrinkled because they had just been dried. Her almond-shaped eyes were wide open, staring at him intently.
