Wen Nongnong had already seen him and stepped forward to bow, "Your Highness."
Gu Linchao snapped out of his daze and said calmly, "No need for formalities."
Seeing that he was lost in thought, Wen Nongnong became quite curious. Thinking of her desire to curry favor with him, she quickly said ingratiatingly, "Your Highness, I have already had breakfast prepared. Would you like to have some with me?"
Gu Linchao was taken aback for a moment, then said, "Okay."
Breakfast was plentiful. Since she was going to eat with Gu Linchao, Wen Nongnong asked the main kitchen to prepare a variety of breakfast dishes.
Looking at the table laden with breakfast, Gu Linchao frowned slightly.

Watching the man dine elegantly, Wen Nongnong finally understood what "beauty is food for the eyes" meant.
She picked up her chopsticks and poked at the porridge in her bowl.
Seeing this, Gu Linchao glanced at her and asked, "Why aren't you eating?"
Wen Nongnong rested her chin on one hand and blurted out, "Your Highness looks even more delicious."
Gu Linchao paused, his icy gaze sweeping over her.
Wen Nongnong was taken aback, finally coming to her senses. Realizing she had exposed her rogue nature, she chuckled and tried to salvage the situation, "I meant I wanted to eat what was in Your Highness's bowl..." After saying that, she realized something was off.
Gu Linchao's handsome face flushed, and he tightened his grip on the chopsticks, giving her a deep look.
Wen Nongnong: "..."
"I...I was just joking, Your Highness, please don't take it seriously," she said with an awkward laugh.
Gu Linchao paused in his action of pushing the bowl away, then lowered his head to eat again.
Wen Nongnong secretly breathed a sigh of relief. That was close!
I almost failed to get a powerful patron and nearly got chopped off.

After finishing his meal, Gu Linchao rested his long, slender fingers on the edge of the table, remaining seated and motionless.
Seeing this, Wen Nongnong asked, "Is there something you need, Your Highness?"

Gu Linchao had barely begun when he was interrupted by a servant, "Your Highness, Your Highness, Prince Atuo and Princess Atuo have arrived."
Gu Linchao coldly swept his gaze over the servant who had delivered the message.
The servant felt a chill run down his spine, shrank his shoulders, and quickly retreated.
Wen Nongnong didn't notice. She stood up and saw that Gu Linchao was still sitting there. She was a little puzzled and thought that he hadn't heard what the servant said, so she reminded him, "Your Highness, Prince Atuo and Princess Atuo have arrived."
"I heard you." Gu Linchao glanced at her, stood up, and left the dining hall first.
Wen Nongnong looked completely bewildered.
