Gu Linchao saw her eyes darting around and knew what she was thinking.

The cool ointment touched her skin, and Wen Nongnong finally came to her senses. Hearing his question, she immediately replied, "The Empress Dowager sent someone to escort me into the palace. I had lunch with the Empress Dowager before leaving the palace."

After she finished speaking, she opened the box and showed it to him.

"You really like these beads?" he asked casually.
"I like it. Any woman would like it," Wen Nongnong said casually, closing the box and putting it away again.
Gu Linchao paused, then instructed, "I've applied medicine to the wound on your face. Be careful these next few days and don't let it get wet."
Wen Nongnong then realized that he was applying medicine to her. Surprised, she blinked and asked innocently, "What will happen if it gets wet?"
Gu Linchao looked into her beautiful eyes, his dark eyes closed slightly, and said gently, "It won't be a big deal if it gets wet. It's just that if it's serious, the wound might not heal well and affect its appearance."
