Upon hearing this, Gu Linchao's handsome face flushed slightly. He looked away and said calmly, "Let's go in."
"Oh," Wen Nongnong replied, following behind him.
Thinking of what had just happened at Qingfeng Pavilion, she couldn't help but say, "Your Highness, those people love and respect you very much."
"Aida?" Gu Linchao turned his head and glanced at her.
“Uh, it means to support.” Wen Nongnong changed her words. “It must be because Your Highness protects the country and allows the people to live a peaceful and prosperous life, so they are grateful to you.”
Gu Linchao said, "Those are things I should do." He paused, then instructed, "Don't talk about such things outside in the future."

“Okay.” Wen Nongnong nodded.
Just as the two were about to go inside, Xiao Yan arrived on horseback at breakneck speed.
"Hengzhi, your roast goose has arrived." Xiao Yan jumped off his horse, carrying the freshly roasted goose, and presented it to Gu Linchao like a treasure.
Gu Linchao glanced at him, reached out and took the roast goose, "I'll accept the roast goose. You can go back now."
Xiao Yan: "..."
Is this how you treat people?
Use them and then kick them out?
Is he someone who's so easily appeased?
“That’s not right of you. I’m your uncle, after all. You treat me like a servant, and then kick me after you’re done. Don’t you have any conscience? My feet are tired. I’ll go inside and rest for a while before I go on.” With that, he started to step inside.
Gu Linchao ignored him and went inside with Wen Nongnong.
Xiao Yan thought he would use some means to stop him from going in, but to his surprise, even though he was prepared to defend himself, the other man just walked away.
Then why is he still so wary?
I'm so annoyed!
He confidently stepped into the palace.
However, he soon regretted it.
After entering the dining hall, he had just sat down next to the two when he saw Wen Nongnong attentively serving food to Gu Linchao.
"Your Highness, you've worked the hardest, please have this goose leg." She smiled and placed a goose leg into Gu Linchao's bowl.
Gu Linchao was about to refuse, but when he met the girl's shimmering eyes, he paused and put a goose leg on her plate as well, saying, "You eat too."
"Thank you, Your Highness." Wen Nongnong smiled, took a bite with delight, and then exclaimed, "It's so delicious!"
A hint of a smile flashed across Gu Linchao's eyes.
Looking at the couple who seemed oblivious to his presence and treated him like he was invisible, Xiao Yan felt that he really shouldn't have stayed.
He's already full before he's even eaten; he's so stuffed!
"Hey, can you two please consider my feelings?" he said, finally losing his temper. "I bought this roast goose..."
Before she could finish speaking, Wen Nongnong picked up the serving chopsticks and suddenly placed a goose neck on his plate. "Uncle, you've worked hard. You should eat too."
Xiao Yan swallowed his words of dissatisfaction, glanced at Gu Linchao with a grin, and then said to Wen Nongnong, "How did you know that my uncle likes to eat goose neck?"
"I don't know," Wen Nongnong mumbled, biting into a goose leg, "but I know the prince doesn't like it."
The fine lines in Gu Linchao's dark eyes spread, until they rippled outwards.
Xiao Yan looked at him, then at Wen Nongnong, and finally understood what she meant. Instantly, the goose neck in his bowl no longer tasted good. He suddenly stood up and shouted, "Is it because Hengzhi doesn't like goose neck that you gave it to me?"
He stared at Wen Nongnong in disbelief.
This girl is so young, I never imagined she could be so ruthless!
What did she take him for?
They only pick out the food that Gu Linchao doesn't eat?
