Suddenly, the voice of the King of Jue rang out from behind.
The two stopped and turned around to look.
King Jue walked over with his men, a half-smile on his face.

Wen Nongnong had expected him to be furious, but she hadn't anticipated that he would be so disregardful of the proper conduct of an elder.
The reason I know this about him is because the original book mentioned his past when it talked about the Jue King.
This past event was, after all, not a glorious one, and it was a secret that the King of Jue was eager to bury.
She didn't want to say it, but she couldn't bear to see Gu Linchao being ridiculed.
Just as she was about to dodge the Jue Wang's attack, a tall, imposing figure suddenly appeared in front of her without hesitation.
She was stunned for a moment, then suddenly heard a loud "bang" in the air. Immediately afterwards, she saw Gu Linchao sway and take a step back. She quickly supported him and looked up to see that the Jue Wang had taken several steps back before he could finally regain his balance.
"Uncle Jue, as an elder, you have ruthlessly killed a junior. Don't you think that this is unbecoming of an elder?" Gu Linchao's voice was as cold as frost.
