Thinking it over, she said considerately, "It's too rushed to suddenly ask you to paint a picture, Your Highness probably won't have any inspiration. It's alright, Your Highness can paint one for me when you have time next time, or you can write a piece of calligraphy for me now."
She had seen Gu Linchao's calligraphy. It was truly beautiful, full of character and strength, powerful and penetrating the paper. Every stroke was as upright and elegant as his character, and there was a rare sense of righteousness between the lines.
I believe that those literary figures will be very enthusiastic about it after reading it.
Upon hearing this, Gu Linchao placed the painting on the bookshelf behind him, walked back to the table, picked up his brush, and wrote a calligraphy piece for her.
He finished writing it almost instantly.
Just as Wen Nongnong was about to lean over to see what he had written, she saw him hand her the finished words.
She looked down and exclaimed in surprise, "This... isn't this the poem I recited at the last palace banquet?"
"Memorized?" Gu Linchao was taken aback.
Wen Nongnong said, "That's right. Does Your Highness really think that I have the talent to compose such a timeless masterpiece?"
"A timeless masterpiece?" Gu Linchao frowned. He admitted that the poem was indeed very good, but if it was a timeless masterpiece, why had he never read it?
“Yes, it’s a famous poem that has stood the test of time. I came across it by chance in a book. The author is Wang Han, and it’s a poem he wrote when he was with the army at the border.” Wen Nongnong paused for a moment. “Your Highness hasn’t heard of it. Perhaps the poet was too low-key, and the era is too long ago.”
Gu Linchao was quite surprised to hear this. He then took the scroll from her hand, picked up his pen again, and wrote the words "Poet Wang Han" next to the poem.
Seeing this, Wen Nongnong hurriedly said, "Could you affix the prince's personal seal?" Seeing his questioning look, she quickly added, "This is the first time the prince has written words for me, and I want to keep it safe."
Gu Linchao pursed his lips, but without hesitation, he took his personal seal and stamped his name on the bottom of the scroll.
When Wen Nongnong saw that he had finished, she quickly picked it up with both hands.
When she saw the three characters "Gu Hengzhi" below the words, her eyes immediately lit up.

"Thank you, Your Highness. You've worked hard." She said with a smile, bringing over some pastries from the side. "These are fresh from the kitchen, Your Highness. Please have a taste."
Gu Linchao didn't like these desserts. He shook his head and said, "I'm not hungry. You can eat them yourself."
“But it’s really delicious, it would be a shame if you didn’t try it.” Wen Nongnong said, picking up a pastry, taking a bite, and smacking her lips in praise, “It’s really so delicious.”
Turning her head and seeing that he remained unmoved, she subconsciously held the pastry she had taken a bite of to his lips and softly urged, "Your Highness, please try it."
Gu Linchao paused for a moment, wanting to remind her that she had eaten this pastry before.
But when he met the girl's pure and innocent eyes, he inexplicably opened his mouth.
Wen Nongnong then stuffed the pastry inside.
"Is it good?" she asked impatiently, completely unaware that her fingers were pressing against the man's lips and tongue.
Gu Linchao lowered his eyes and chewed for a moment. Upon hearing this, his phoenix eyes fell on her lips. He hesitated for a moment, then nodded, "Mm."
Upon hearing this, Wen Nongnong smiled and said, "See? I didn't lie to you, it really is delicious." After saying that, she picked up a piece of pastry and ate it herself.
Gu Linchao was somewhat absent-minded, recalling the fleeting touch he had just experienced.
