Gu Heng glanced at Hao Fulu.
The latter understood, led the palace servants out, and guarded the gate outside.
Gu Heng then said, "Si Luo, although we are ruler and subject, looking at the entire court, the person I trust the most is you. Only you can put my mind at ease."
Hearing this, Si Luo's heart tightened, and she put away her casual expression, becoming more serious. "If Your Majesty has any matters to discuss, please give your orders directly. Si Luo will obey your command."

Si Luo, however, was not happy at all, feeling that doing so was far too risky.

Gu Heng's expression darkened. "Si Luo, we've known each other for many years. You should know that I'm an emperor in name only. If I don't do something, I'll only be left with a passive position. Now that there's no war, isn't it only right to take military power back to the court?"
