"Mmm." Wen Nong Nong leaned against his back without any pressure.
Gu Linchao easily carried her on his back.
Just as she was about to take a step, she stopped when she saw the heavy rain. She turned around, took the straw hat from Lü Qiao's hand, and put it on Wen Nongnong's head. "Don't get wet in the rain anymore, it's not good to catch a cold."
"I'm perfectly healthy. Getting a little rain won't be a problem," Wen Nongnong said nonchalantly.
Upon hearing this, Gu Linchao frowned. "Nongnong, don't talk nonsense."
"Huh? I didn't say anything nonsense." Wen Nongnong asked, puzzled.
Gu Linchao glanced at her helplessly, but ultimately said nothing more.
The maid was being led away by Lü Qiao, remaining quiet the whole time. In reality, she was secretly gathering her inner strength, trying to break free of the vines and find an opportunity to escape.
Just then, a burst of energy struck her, and the internal force she had gathered instantly dissipated. She was horrified because she discovered that not only had her internal force suddenly dissipated, but now all the meridians in her body were sealed, and she could not use any internal force at all.
She subconsciously looked up at Gu Linchao.
I just happened to see his cold gaze withdraw.
She felt a chill run down her spine, as if she were in an ice cave, her whole being chilled to the bone.
When they returned to the carriage, the ladies who had been crying uncontrollably had calmed down. Although they were all listless, they were no longer as hysterical as before.
Upon seeing Gu Linchao, everyone felt as if they had seen a savior.
Wen Nongnong was still a little confused when a pretty young girl walked over, curtsied to Gu Linchao, and said with a slightly shy tone, "Young master, everyone wants to ask you, when will the blocked road be cleared?"

Wen Nongnong found it unbelievable that she could be so shameless.
What kind of friendship is this? It's clearly an attempt to seduce someone.
She angrily punched Gu Linchao on the back. It's all this guy's fault! Why is he so handsome? He's attracted so many unwanted suitors.

Even when she's jealous, this girl is still so adorable.

The girl noticed that he kept looking at Wen Nong Nong on his back without glancing at her or responding to her, and assumed he was afraid of his wife, which made her somewhat disappointed.
"In this life, I have only one wife, and that is enough. I have no interest in making friends with women." Gu Linchao's voice was as cold as ice. After saying that, he walked around the girl and headed towards Madam Xu's carriage.
The girl was humiliated and slunk away.
The other onlookers looked on with envy at Wen Nong Nong on Gu Linchao's back.
Wen Nongnong was lying on Gu Linchao's back, feeling dizzy and lightheaded.
Although she had already guessed that he would reject the girl, she felt a strange sweetness in her heart after hearing his words.
This is her man.
A sense of pride as a wife welled up within me.
She couldn't help but lean close to his ear and whisper, "I am truly blessed to marry Young Master Gu. I will never leave you in this lifetime."
The girl's warm, moist lips suddenly pressed against his ear, and Gu Linchao's legs went weak, almost causing him to lose his composure.

The smell was all of rain and mud, and Gu Linchao didn't actually taste anything particularly delicious, but his mind went blank for a moment.
It was all because of the touching words the girl said.
He blinked, and absentmindedly placed her on the carriage shaft.
As soon as Wen Nongnong stood firm on the carriage shaft, Madam Xu rushed out. Seeing her covered in mud, she was startled and asked anxiously, "Nongnong, what happened? What's wrong?"
