Lü Qiao was a little discouraged. She knew that this guy always acted arrogantly and naturally wouldn't take her seriously.
She sighed, resigned to her fate and waited for him to come out.
In the study.
Si Yi reported to Gu Linchao: "We have already tortured that man, but we can't get him to talk. He has already fainted."
Gu Linchao paused, then asked, "Any other gains?"
Si nodded. "Ordinary people couldn't withstand this punishment at all, but that person endured it. He's incredibly tough. I suspect he must have received some special training before."
Gu Linchao pondered for a moment, then asked, "Do you suspect that this person is a spy sent by the Northern Di Kingdom?"
“Hmm.” Si nodded. “Only the assassin camps of the Northern Di Kingdom have that kind of inhumane training.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Linchao quickly made a connection and said calmly, "I understand. You may leave now."
"Yes," Si Yi replied respectfully and withdrew.
However, just as he stepped out of the study, a figure swayed over from the corridor.
"Si Yi."
Si glanced at the other person, then turned and walked away.
Lu Qiao was stunned for a moment, then quickly followed.
But Si Yi had long legs and took big strides, so she had a hard time keeping up. She called out to him a few times, but he ignored her completely. So she had to say as she walked, "Si Yi, the princess asked me to invite you to the Agarwood Courtyard."
Si frowned and suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Green Beauty was caught off guard when he suddenly stopped and almost bumped into his back, but luckily she managed to stop in time.
She patted her chest and secretly breathed a sigh of relief; that was close.
She had no doubt that if she dared to run headlong into him, he would definitely chop her up.
Before Si Yi could refuse, she quickly added, "I've relayed your message. If you don't go, the Princess Consort might whisper in the Prince's ear. You know, the Prince has been staying at Chenxiang Courtyard lately."
After saying that, she ran away in a flash.
Si Yi's already cold expression grew even colder.
How dare a mere maidservant threaten him with words?
Did you think he would be afraid?
He took two steps forward with a cold laugh, but the power of that pillow talk was probably too great. After taking two steps, he stopped, cursed under his breath, and walked towards Chenxiang Courtyard.
Wen Nongnong and Bai Li waited in the house for a long time. When they saw Lü Qiao return alone, they asked in surprise, "Why did you take so long? Didn't Si Yi want to come over?"
Lü Qiao said, "I have delivered the message, but I don't know if he will come."
Wen Nongnong understood Si Yi's personality; apart from Gu Linchao, very few people could command him.
That kid probably isn't coming.
She was about to tell Bai Li that Gu Linchao would be coming over that night and ask him to help her get better when she heard Si Yi's cold voice ringing out from outside.
"Does Your Highness have any instructions for summoning me here?"
Although she couldn't see the person, Wen Nongnong could still hear the displeasure in their tone.
They were clearly very reluctant, but they still came.
Wen Nongnong smiled and said, "I need your help with something. Please come in."
Si Yi entered as instructed. "What is it?"
Wen Nongnong pointed to Bai Li beside her and said, "This is Bai Li. From now on, she will be your colleague. However, your master sealed her meridians yesterday, and she can't fight now. Can you help her unseal them?"
Si glanced at Bai Li and knew she was the assassin from yesterday. Without saying a word, he struck her with a palm.
His sudden action surprised Wen Nongnong and Lü Qiao, who thought he was going to harm Bai Li.
"What are you doing?" the master and servant cried out in disbelief.
"Bang!"
Bai Li took the blow head-on and coughed up blood on the spot.
Wen Nongnong stared at Si Yi in surprise, "What are you doing?"
Green Fairy swallowed hard. This guy is really scary; he attacks without warning.
Bai Li circulated her qi and found that she could now, and was overjoyed, "My restriction has been lifted."
Wen Nongnong was taken aback, then realized what was happening and looked at Si Yi, "Were you just lifting the restriction on Bai Li?"
Si Yi's lips twitched slightly. "What else? Did you think I was going to kill her?"
Wen Nongnong: "..."
"If Your Highness has no further instructions, then I shall take my leave." Si Yi said coldly and left on her own.
Wen Nong Nong felt a little guilty for misunderstanding him earlier, and hurriedly said to Lü Qiao, "Lü Qiao, Aunt Li just made some pastries, go and get some and send them to Si Yi."
Green Beauty: "..."
"Why aren't you going yet?" Wen Nongnong urged her when she saw her standing there.
Lü Qiao had no choice but to bite the bullet and go down.
She went to the kitchen, filled a plate with pastries, and packed them in a food container.
I went to the study and found out that Si Yi hadn't returned.
She had heard before that Si Yi and Wang Houde each had a courtyard in the Prince's Mansion, but she didn't know exactly where they were. She had to ask Steward Chen to find out that Si Yi lived in a courtyard next to the West Garden.
She found the courtyard, looked around, and didn't see Si Yi. Thinking he wasn't there, she put her things down and quickly left.
Si Yi is a difficult person to get along with, and she doesn't want to deal with him unless absolutely necessary.
But since the young lady had given the order, she had no choice but to deliver the items.
Once inside, she placed her things on the table and nearly bumped into Si Yi, who was walking down the corridor, as she stepped out of the door.
She was startled, clutched her chest, and stared at him blankly.
He seemed to have taken a bath; his hair was wet, and he had changed his clothes. His ever-present sword was nowhere to be seen.
