Chapter 460 It would be terrible if Gu Linchao found out.

Gu Linchao paused for a moment, then said, "She'll be back in a couple of days."

"Then where did she go?" Xiao Yan pressed.

Gu Linchao shook his head. "I don't know."

Xiao Yan said angrily, "Are you trying to fool a three-year-old? You don't know where Nong Nong went? Are you deliberately trying to keep me from finding out?"

"Hmm," Gu Linchao responded indifferently.

Xiao Yan was so angry he wanted to jump up and down. "Gu Hengzhi, you've really gone too far!"

"I still have official business to attend to. If you have nothing else to do, you should go back first." Gu Linchao ignored his jumping and bristling appearance, his voice still indifferent.

Xiao Yan said, "If you don't tell me where Nong Nong went, I won't leave. I'll stay here and keep bothering you."

"Are you sure?" Gu Linchao suddenly stared at him intently.

Xiao Yan felt a chill run down his spine, but forced himself to say, "I'm absolutely sure."

"Okay." Gu Linchao nodded, then suddenly struck the pressure points on his body.

Xiao Yan was instantly paralyzed and shouted angrily, "Gu Hengzhi, you are so despicable!"

"Shut up!" Gu Linchao frowned. "I already gave you a chance."

"Untie me right now!" Xiao Yan said angrily.

Gu Linchao ignored him and instead said to Si Yi, "Send the Duke of Jing back."

"Yes." Si Yi stepped forward, ignoring Xiao Yan's loud cries, and simply picked it up and left.

The study finally quieted down. Gu Linchao rubbed his temples and continued reviewing official documents.

Meanwhile, Wen Nongnong and her entourage had arrived in Tunzhou.

However, upon arriving in Tunzhou, the group did not enter the city but went directly to the Lu family's villa in Tunzhou.

Upon arriving at the Lu family villa, Wen Nongnong realized that this villa was no ordinary place.

The villa covers a large area and is planted with various flowers and trees. There is also an artificial lake where you can go boating.

"Yingying, your villa is so beautiful!" Su Qianqian exclaimed.

Wen Nongnong nodded in agreement, "Indeed, this villa is truly amazing!"

Lu Yingying smiled and said, "Please excuse my poor appearance. This villa has been passed down from our Lu family for many years. The houses and everything else are quite old. Only the flowers and plants are still worth seeing."

Su Qianqian clicked her tongue in amazement, "You're too modest. I've never seen such a beautiful villa in my entire life."

Lu Yingying smiled and led the group around the villa.

Because they had traveled a long way that day, Lu Yingying and Su Qianqian were both tired and could only visit a few places before they were too exhausted to walk any further. Wen Nongnong suggested that they go and rest, while she herself took Wang Houde, Lü Qiao, and Bai Li into the city.

"Eunuch Wang, how have I treated you?"

Before going to Baihualou, Wen Nongnong decided to give Wang Houde a heads-up.

Wang Houde was taken aback, not understanding why she suddenly asked such a question, but he immediately replied, "Your Majesty is naturally very kind to this servant."

Wen Nongnong said, "I consider Eunuch Wang a friend."

Upon hearing this, Wang Houde was flattered and said, "Your Majesty's words are too much for this humble servant. How could this humble servant be worthy of Your Majesty's words..."

"It's really disheartening for Eunuch Wang to say that. It's one thing if it's within the palace, but now that we're out, Eunuch Wang is still putting on that palace act," Wen Nongnong said, feigning disappointment.

Seeing this, Wang Houde became anxious. "Your Majesty, please don't say that. You know, I'll do anything you ask..."

"That's enough with Eunuch Wang's words," Wen Nongnong said with a smile. "We're going somewhere in a bit, so please keep it a secret for me when you get back."

Wang Houde was taken aback, then belatedly realized that he had fallen into the Empress's trap. He asked cautiously, "Can't I even say this in front of the Emperor?"

"No, I can't." Wen Nongnong looked troubled. "Originally, it wouldn't matter if the Prince found out about this, but the problem is that what I did might displease him. Has Eunuch Wang ever heard of the saying 'a white lie'?"

Wang Houde shook his head, "No."

Wen Nongnong sighed, "A white lie is without malice and is for the other person's good. Eunuch Wang has always been loyal to the Prince and must hope that the Prince will always be well. But things can change unexpectedly, and no one can predict what will happen in the future, but at least we can make some plans."

Wang Houde grew somewhat nervous upon hearing this. "Your Majesty's words are quite true. But I wonder what Your Majesty is trying to hide from the Master?" And what does this have to do with being good to the Master?

"Actually, it's nothing much. It's just what Eunuch Wang saw and heard. Just don't tell the Prince when you get back," Wen Nongnong said.

Wang Houde was in a difficult position, saying, "This servant will do his best."

Seeing that things had already gone this far, Wen Nongnong decided not to press someone who was so loyal to Gu Linchao any further.

“Let’s go,” she said.

Upon arriving at the location, Wang Houde froze upon seeing the somewhat familiar surroundings. He quickly realized what was happening, broke out in a cold sweat, and hurriedly stopped Wen Nongnong, but made sure to change his address, "Madam, this is not a place for you. Let's go back quickly, otherwise it will be terrible if the young master finds out."

Wen Nongnong smiled and reassured him, "Little Wang, today's Baihua Pavilion is not the same as before, nor is it the kind of brothel you think it is. Nothing will happen. Let's go in together."

Just as Wang Houde was about to say something, Bai Li suddenly stepped in front of Wen Nongnong, glaring at him menacingly.

Wang Houde: "..."

Realizing what was happening, he impatiently pushed her aside, saying, "What are you doing, you little brat?"

Bai Li brushed away his outstretched hand, pursed her lips, remained silent, and then turned to protect Wen Nong Nong as she entered the Hundred Flowers Pavilion.

Wang Houde was so angry he was practically fuming.

Lü Qiao comforted her, "Don't be so nervous. Miss always does things with a sense of propriety. Let's go in and take a look first."

Wang Houde nodded helplessly, "That's the only way."

But he had a feeling that if his master found out about this, he would be in big trouble.

I thought this job would be no big deal, but it turned out to be quite complicated.

After entering the Hundred Flowers Pavilion, Wang Houde followed Wen Nongnong and the others to the backyard. Only then did Wang Houde realize that there was more to it than met the eye, and he couldn't help but feel a little alarmed.

He was even more surprised when he saw the five elders who came out to greet him.

Who are these people?

Upon seeing Wen Nongnong, the five elders were taken aback for a moment, feeling that she looked somewhat familiar, but they couldn't quite place where they had seen her before. Then, their gazes fell on Bai Li, who was standing beside her.

"Bai Li, don't you know where this is? How could you bring outsiders in?" The elder asked, his face full of displeasure.

Before he could finish speaking, the Second Elder frowned and couldn't help but ask, "Bai Li, why are you only returning now? Did you complete the mission?"

Upon hearing this, Bai Li couldn't help but glance at Wen Nongnong, feeling extremely ashamed. "Second Elder, I was wrong, I made a mistake..."

"What's wrong?" The Second Elder was completely bewildered. "You should explain yourself clearly..."
