Lü Qiao breathed a sigh of relief and carried the medicine bowl into the house.
Inside the room, Wen Nongnong held Gu Linchao's hand, a hint of worry between her brows. "Are you going to Juezhou?"
"We absolutely have to go." Gu Linchao's expression was solemn.
"But your eyes..."
Gu Linchao paused, then smiled wryly, "This time, I'll have to rely on Nong Nong as my eyes."

Wen Nongnong was lying on Gu Linchao's lap, feeling sleepy from the swaying of the carriage. Suddenly the carriage stopped, and she almost rolled off the stool, but luckily Gu Linchao caught her in time.
"What happened?" Gu Linchao asked in a deep voice.
Wang Houde stared at the dozen or so men in black in front of him, his face grim, and said, "Master, there are assassins."
Before he could finish speaking, the assassins had already charged forward with their swords drawn.
