Chapter 501 They didn't even bother to cover it up

Upon hearing this, the man in black looked around the room.

He discovered that the room had no windows, only a door at the front for entry and exit. After thinking for a moment, he reached out and released her pressure points.

"As you said, you're just a woman. Don't even think about trying anything under my nose. You can't escape. Don't do anything foolish." The man in black warned, then left and closed the door behind him.

Finally free, Wen Nongnong breathed a sigh of relief. However, she was so itchy that she didn't think about escaping at the moment. The room had no windows, and the only door was guarded by men in black. She couldn't possibly run away. Since she couldn't escape, she might as well cherish the opportunity to take a bath.

Thinking it over, she dragged a table over and propped it against the door. It was indeed fine, and she finally felt a little relieved.

After taking a shower, the itching on her body lessened considerably. Wen Nongnong dressed, opened the door, and went out. Sure enough, she saw the man in black guarding the door.

Seeing her come out, the man in black glanced at her and asked, "Finished washing?"

"Okay, let's go." After taking a shower, Wen Nongnong felt refreshed and in a much better mood. She said this lightly and strode out.

However, she had only taken a few steps when the man in black grabbed her arm.

"What are you doing?" Wen Nong Nong looked at him warily.

The man in black nodded to the side. "Weren't you hungry? I asked the auntie to make a few dishes."

As he finished speaking, the aunt's voice came from the side, "Young master, young lady, the food is ready."

Wen Nongnong turned her head and saw the middle-aged woman carrying dishes out of the kitchen, smiling at the two of them.

Wen Nongnong seemed to smell the aroma of food.

She shook off the man in black and walked towards the older woman.

The older woman was suspicious when she saw that she could move again, but since she had already accepted the money, she didn't interfere.

"It's a rural area, so there's not much good food. Please make do with this." After placing the dishes on the table, the auntie left.

Wen Nongnong looked at the dishes on the table and found that all three dishes were vegetarian: stir-fried bitter melon with eggs, braised eggplant, and water spinach. There was no meat at all, but it was better than nothing, as she was extremely hungry.

She picked up her chopsticks, took a bite, and found it tasted good, so she served herself some rice.

The man in black sat down next to her and was somewhat surprised to see that she had eaten two bowls of rice in one go. "I didn't expect you to have such a good appetite."

“I’m afraid you won’t feed me later, so of course I want to eat more now.” Wen Nong Nong glanced at him and saw that he hadn’t touched his chopsticks, so she knew that he was afraid of revealing his true colors.

She stood up, asked the old woman for directions to the outhouse, and was about to leave when the man in black stopped her, lowering his voice to say, "Don't try anything funny."

Wen Nongnong said, "If you're worried, you can come with me."

The man in black glanced at her, asked the woman for a rope, and then led her toward the outhouse.

Once outside the latrine, the man in black tied the rope to Wen Nongnong's hands, leaving a long section in his hand. "You can go in now. I'll wait for you here."

Wen Nongnong teased, "You can come closer and smell the stench of the auntie's outhouse."

The man in black understood that she was being sarcastic, but he didn't care and urged, "Alright, stop with the talk and finish this quickly so we can get going."

Upon hearing this, Wen Nongnong said nothing more and turned to go into the outhouse.

Even if the men in black hadn't tied her up, she wouldn't have been able to escape.

She didn't take the opportunity to do anything; she simply finished using the toilet and came out.

She knew she was no match for him, so she didn't want to make a futile struggle. It was better to play it safe, lower his guard, and then wait for an opportunity to strike once they returned to the capital.

The man in black untied the ropes binding her hands, then immediately used acupressure to seal her pressure points without wasting any time, before picking her up in his arms. "It's safer for me to carry you."

"Whatever." Wen Nongnong didn't care, since she didn't have to walk herself anyway.

"Young master, the carriage has been found for you."

As soon as they arrived outside, the aunt's son was waiting there in his horse-drawn carriage.

The man in black gave him some silver, and he left, thanking him profusely.

Wen Nongnong sighed, "Money really is useful."

The man in black carried her directly into the carriage.

Wen Nongnong said with disdain, "It's too hard. Make the mattress thicker, otherwise you won't be able to bear the consequences if I bump into something."

The man in black laughed angrily, "Don't you understand the situation? We're already grateful to have a carriage to ride in, and you're still complaining!"

Wen Nongnong said righteously, "If you hadn't kidnapped me, I wouldn't have had to suffer like this. As the dignified Regent's Consort, can't I even ask for a thicker mattress?"

Upon hearing this, the man in black pulled back the carriage curtain and looked outside. Seeing that the woman's son had already left, he breathed a sigh of relief and looked sharply at Wen Nongnong. "You deliberately shouted so loudly because you wanted to expose your whereabouts, but your plan is about to fail."

He spoke coldly, then suddenly reached out and brushed his hand across her pressure point.

Wen Nongnong fell asleep before she could say a word.

The man in black helped her lie down and then pulled down the veil covering her face.

If Wen Nongnong were to see his face at this moment, she would certainly not be surprised.

Because this person is none other than Si Luo.

Si Luo glanced at Wen Nong Nong with a complicated expression, then got out of the carriage and drove the carriage towards the capital.

He traveled day and night without stopping to rest, and arrived in the capital early the next morning.

However, he did not go directly into the city. Instead, he settled Wen Nongnong in a villa, ordered people to keep an eye on her, and then went to the palace alone.

When he arrived at the palace, Gu Heng had just finished court.

Seeing him return, Gu Heng was somewhat surprised. "How was it? Did you find anything?"

"The Regent has gone blind," Gu Heng whispered.

"Blind?" Gu Heng was stunned for a moment, then overjoyed. "Really?"

“It’s true, I’ve fought him and I’m certain he’s blind, and…” Si Luo paused, “Now, Wen Nongnong is in my hands.”

Gu Heng couldn't hide his surprise. "Wen Nongnong is in your hands?"

"Yes," Si Luo replied.

These two pieces of news came suddenly, and Gu Heng was overjoyed. He paced around the room for a while before he could process them.

"Where is she now?" After a long while, he finally remembered and asked, his joy almost overflowing.

Si Luo glanced at him. He had long since seen through Si Luo's feelings for Wen Nong Nong. Seeing that Si Luo didn't even bother to hide them anymore, Si Luo frowned slightly. He suddenly felt a little unsure whether his decision to bring Wen Nong Nong back was the right one.

"Your Majesty, shouldn't the most urgent matter be to issue an edict to recall the Regent?" he said, subconsciously not wanting to answer his question.
