Chapter 522 Something Slipped into Her Pants

Green Beauty was startled.

Before she could react, she saw that Si Yi had somehow acquired a stick in his hand.

The stick, like a sharp sword, instantly pierced the snake's head.

With a "plop," blood splattered everywhere, and the snake coiled on the branch immediately crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

But the snake did not die immediately and tried to attack the two of them with its tail.

However, as soon as it raised its tail, Si Yi took a stick and stabbed it into the snake's vital spot.

After a piercing hiss, the snake's tail drooped limply to the ground.

This time, the spotted snake was finally dead, and the air was filled with the smell of blood.

Seeing this, Lü Qiao breathed a sigh of relief, but thinking of the danger she had just experienced, her legs were still weak.

"Si Yi, thank you." Looking at the boy standing in front of her, she felt very grateful.

If it weren't for him, she would have been bitten to death by the snake, even if she hadn't been eaten.

It seems that every time she encounters a dangerous emergency, Si Yi always appears in time to save her.

But wasn't he resting by the pool? Why did he come here?

She was somewhat puzzled.

"Let's go," Si Yi said calmly, then turned and walked towards the pool.

He walked rather slowly, and Green Fairy guessed that he must have aggravated his wound when he killed the snake.

Her heart tightened, and she felt very guilty.

Thinking of something, she reached out and took out a pear, chased after him, and handed the pear to him.

"Siyi, these pears are very sweet. Have one to quench your thirst."

Si glanced at her.

Although she was carrying pears on her back, her arms were bare, and her snow-white skin was generously exposed to the air.

He reached out and took Sherry, walking past her without looking at her.

Lu Qiao was stunned for a moment. When she saw her own arm, she realized what was going on. Her face flushed, she lowered her head, and silently followed behind him.

However, on her way back, she didn't forget to gather firewood.

When she reached the pond, she was already carrying a stack of dry branches in her arms.

After hurriedly putting down the withered branches and pears, she grabbed a light shirt, hid on a large rock to put it on, and then put on her outer garment that was drying on the rock.

After she finished dressing, she carried the pears to the pond to wash them, and then gave two more to Si Yi.

Si Yi leaned against a tree, the pain from his wound making him feel listless.

"No need, you can eat it yourself."

Seeing that he seemed uncomfortable, Lü Qiao didn't force him. Instead, she placed the pear beside him and said, "You can eat it later."

Si Yi closed his eyes and ignored her.

His injuries and loss of energy left him feeling very tired.

Not long after, he fell asleep leaning against the tree trunk.

When he woke up, the sky was full of stars.

He had barely moved when his clothes slipped down.

He reached out and picked it up, glancing at it. He saw that it was a single garment that Lü Qiao had taken to wash in the afternoon.

He pursed his lips and looked up.

Then he saw a shadow rushing towards him.

"Si Yi, there's a cave over there, let's go inside!" The girl's excited voice reached our ears.

Si Yi glanced at her with some surprise and got off the rock.

"Where?"

“Come with me.” Green Fairy said, leaning over the rock to gather his shirt and the two pears she had left there that afternoon into her bosom.

The cave is behind a tree next to the pool.

When Si Yi followed Lü Qiao inside, he found that a fire had already been lit inside.

The cave is not large, probably enough to accommodate about three people, so you can see right through it.

Lvqiao explained, "Luckily you had a tinderbox with you, otherwise I wouldn't know how to start a fire."

Si Yi didn't say anything, but chose a flat stone and sat down.

Lü Qiao handed him the washed pears.

"While you were asleep, I looked around but couldn't find anything to eat, so I had to continue eating this pear to fill my stomach."

Si Yi silently accepted it.

Lü Qiao glanced at him and asked, "How's the injury on your arm? Is it any better?"

Si Yi took a bite of the pear and replied casually, "Yes."

"That's good." Green Fairy sat by the fire, poking at the flames with a stick.

After a moment of silence, she said with some worry, "I wonder where we've fallen, and whether we'll be able to find a way out tomorrow?"

"We'll find it eventually," Si Yi said reassuringly.

Upon hearing this, Lü Qiao glanced at him with some surprise.

Seeing this, Si Yi frowned. "What are you looking at?"

Lü Qiao smiled and shook her head. "It's nothing, just a bit of a surprise."

"What's unexpected?"

"It was an accident. I never knew someone as cold as Si Yi could comfort others."

Si Yi scoffed, "You're overthinking it. I wasn't trying to comfort you."

"Oh." Green Fairy shrugged, not arguing with him.

The two were not familiar with each other, so after exchanging a few words, they fell silent again.

Fortunately, Lvqiao was tired after a long day of work.

She leaned against the stone wall and soon fell asleep. The stick she had been using to pok at the fire fell to the ground with a thud.

Upon hearing the sound, Si turned his head and saw that, illuminated by the firelight, the girl had fallen asleep against the stone wall.

Around midnight, Lü Qiao suddenly felt something cold and slippery inside her pants, crawling up her calf. She jolted awake.

Lifting her skirt, she saw the bulging movement of her left trousers and her hair stood on end. She screamed, "Help—"

Si Yi, who was also sleeping against the stone wall, was immediately awakened.

"What is it?"

"There's something in my pants." Green Fairy cried, sitting there frozen, too afraid to move. "Could it be a snake?"

Si Yi was startled and quickly walked towards her.

"Where?"

"Left foot." As soon as Lü Qiao finished speaking, she realized the thing had crawled up to her thigh. Terrified, her face paled, and her voice shrill, almost painfully loud, cried out, "Si Yi, help me—"

Distracted by her voice, Si Yi didn't think twice and decisively reached out and tore her pants.

When she saw that what was stuck to her skin was a small snake, about the thickness of a finger, Lü Qiao was so frightened that she almost collapsed.

Si Yi, with a grim face, grabbed the small snake with his bare hands and threw it out of the cave.

"Alright, it's alright now, that snake wasn't poisonous."

Lu Qiao remained stunned for a long time, frozen in place.

Seeing this, Si Yi waved his hand in front of her eyes and frowned, asking, "What's wrong with you?"

Lü Qiao instinctively grabbed his hand, almost collapsing, "Si Yi, can I sit next to you?"

After what just happened, she was too scared to sleep or sit alone.

The cool yet sticky sensation on my skin lingered like a leech.

The girl's soft hand grasped his, making Si Yi feel somewhat uncomfortable.

He wanted to shake her off, but seeing her pale face and fear in her eyes, he ultimately didn't.

"Hmm," he replied casually.
