Si Yi scoffed lightly, pursed his lips, and remained silent.
“Thank you, Si Yi,” Green Fairy suddenly said.
Si Yi frowned. "Why are you thanking me all of a sudden?"
"Thank you for what you did for me," Green Fairy said matter-of-factly. "I know you controlled the innkeeper so that I could stay in the inn safely on my own."
Si paused for a moment, then a slight smile appeared on his lips. "Not too stupid."
Lü Qiao smiled, not angry at all, and instead said, "Si Yi, you're so kind."
Upon hearing this, Si Yi said rather awkwardly, "Alright, stop talking. I was only saying this because..."
"For my young lady's sake, please." Green Fairy quickly replied, then added with a hint of amusement.
Si paused for a moment, then pursed her lips and remained silent.
"By the way, is your hand really alright?" Green Fairy asked with concern.
Si nodded. "It's all done." Then, somewhat impatiently, he said, "You talk too much. Hurry up and go inside. Don't disturb my journey."
Upon hearing this, Lü Qiao had no choice but to get up and return to her carriage.
The carriage was covered with thick felt, making it very comfortable to sit in, and you could hardly feel any bumps.
Lü Qiao touched the thick felt under her seat and thought to herself, "Si Yi looks cold, but he's actually very considerate."
Feeling a bit bored, she leaned against the car wall and fell asleep without realizing it.
She didn't wake up until the carriage suddenly stopped.
"Leave the silver behind, and I might spare your life!"
Suddenly, a fierce and ruthless voice came from outside.
Green Fairy was startled. She pulled back the carriage curtain and saw seven or eight burly men blocking her way. Her heart sank, and she asked Si Yi in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

Si Yi's expression turned cold, a murderous glint flashing between his brows. He didn't say a word, but the sword in his hand was already drawn from its sheath.
The burly men only saw a blur before their eyes, and by the time they reacted, Si Yi already had a sharp sword pressed against the throat of the leading burly man, his voice cold, "You're asking for death!"
A splash of blood appeared, and before the burly man could even scream, he fell straight down.
Upon seeing this, the others' expressions changed drastically, and they all grabbed their knives and slashed at Si Yi.
Lu Qiao squatted on the carriage, watching Si Yi fight with them. She knew that these people were no match for Si Yi, but seeing the slender and handsome Si Yi maneuvering among so many strong men, her heart still clenched.
She only breathed a sigh of relief after all the burly men had fallen.
Si Yi, carrying his sword, walked back. Seeing that she was staring at him, he paused. "What's wrong?"
Lu Qiao snapped out of her reverie and shook her head. "It's nothing."
Just as Si Yi sat down on the carriage shaft, the girl suddenly approached him with a handkerchief in hand.
He was stunned for a moment, and when he came to his senses, Lü Qiao took a handkerchief and wiped his forehead.
"Si Yi, are you alright? You're sweating a lot," Lü Qiao said softly, her movements gentle.
Si Yi snapped out of his daze, reached out and brushed away her overly intimate gesture, saying awkwardly, "Lü Qiao, don't do this..."
Lu Qiao was taken aback. Seeing the sweat she had just wiped from his forehead flowing out again, she asked, somewhat puzzled, "What's wrong with me?"
Si Yi frowned and stared at her for a while, his dark eyes slightly closed, and said irritably, "As a woman, this is very inappropriate of you."
Looking at his handsome face, which was slightly flushed, Lü Qiao's heart stirred, and she suddenly said, "Si Yi, will you marry me?"
The sword in Si Yi's hand fell to the ground with a "thud".
