Lü Qiao carried the medicine inside.
The medicine was still a little hot, so Lü Qiao put it on the table and applied it to Si Yi's arm.
His wound is healing well and has scabbed over.
Seeing this, Lü Qiao removed the bandage and applied ointment to the wound instead.
Si Yi watched the girl carefully applying medicine to him under the lamplight, pursed his lips, hesitated for a long time, and then said, "About what you said this afternoon..."

"Lvqiao!" he called out.
Green Fairy had already reached the door when she heard the sound. She stopped and turned to look at him, but her gaze was somewhat evasive. "What's wrong? Is there something else?"
Meeting the girl's clear, black and white eyes, Si Yi suddenly didn't know what to say.
After a long pause, he said, "It's alright now."
"Okay, then you should go to sleep early." After saying that, Lü Qiao opened the door and left, looking rather flustered, as if she were fleeing in panic.
Si Yi rubbed his temples, a feeling of unease rising in his heart.
He did want to reject her earlier, because he had never considered getting married.
He was a little flustered by her sudden suggestion.
But after thinking about it for an afternoon, he decided to refuse.
But seeing her walk away forlornly, he hesitated.
I'm at a loss for what to do.
The next day, a sudden downpour began.
Lü Qiao, who hadn't slept well all night, woke up early.
Just then, she heard it was raining heavily outside, and she couldn't help but get out of bed, walk to the window, open it, and look outside.
The rain is heavy; it looks like we won't be able to go out today.
Lü Qiao sighed and stared blankly at the rain outside.
Actually, it was a sign that she was overestimating herself when she proposed to Si Yi that she wanted to marry him.
Si Yi is the prince's confidante and his capable subordinate. Even if she were an official's daughter, she would be worthy of him. How could he possibly be interested in a mere maid like her?
She was so spoiled by her mistress that she completely forgot her place.
Thinking about it, she patted her face and forced herself to cheer up.

She stayed in the room for a while, then washed and changed her clothes, and then left the room.

A handsome young man walked out from inside.

After a moment, Lü Qiao blinked and was the first to come to her senses. "Si Yi, it's raining outside. We'll probably have to wait until the rain stops before we can leave."
"Mm." Si Yi responded, closed the door, and walked towards her.
Lü Qiao turned around and closed the door.
"Let's go have breakfast together," she said casually, her smile clear and pure.
Si paused for a moment, then nodded. "Okay."
The two went downstairs one after the other.
The sudden rain stranded travelers who were about to travel.
Everyone gathered in the lobby, looking at the heavy rain outside, feeling extremely anxious.
"Why did it suddenly start raining?"
"Yeah, when will this rain stop?"
Everyone was complaining.
Lu Qiao ate her breakfast quietly.
After finishing breakfast, thinking that it would be too stuffy to go back inside, she didn't rush upstairs. Instead, she went outside to the eaves and looked at the rain.
Because of the rain, there was no one on the street.
"Young lady, judging from your appearance, you're also from out of town. Where are you headed?" At this moment, a young man next to him came over and struck up a conversation.
Green Fairy glanced at him, but didn't answer his question. Instead, she asked, "Where is Young Master? Where is Young Master going?"
The young man sighed and said, "I was going to the capital, but unfortunately it suddenly started raining, so I can't go anywhere."
“This rain will eventually stop,” Green Fairy said casually.
"Are you traveling alone, young lady?" the young man asked solicitously. "If you're going the same way, we can travel together. The world is in chaos these days, and a lone woman traveling alone is bound to encounter trouble. It would be safer to travel with someone."
Just as Lü Qiao was about to say something, a shadow loomed over her. The next moment, Si Yi's uniquely cold voice rang out behind her, "Not on the way, no need to bother. She's not alone."
The young man paused, then looked him over. "You are..."
Si glanced at Lü Qiao and suddenly said, "I am her husband."
Upon hearing this, the young man said somewhat dejectedly, "So the young lady is already married and has a husband to accompany her. Then she doesn't need to go with anyone else." With that, he slunk away.
Lü Qiao looked at Si Yi in astonishment.

Her husband?
Si Yi seemed oblivious to her surprised expression and said nonchalantly, "That person was clearly up to no good. He left as soon as he heard you were already taken. Consider this my doing you a favor, so we're even."
Upon hearing this, Lü Qiao snapped out of her daze.
