On his way back to the Prince of Xiang's residence, Si Luo saw a long queue outside a newly opened sesame seed cake shop, with the aroma of sesame seed cakes wafting in the air. He recalled the days when he was rushing back to Xiangzhou, and the scene of Wen Nong Nong drooling over a sesame seed cake stall when they passed through a small town. A smile involuntarily appeared on his handsome face.
Seeing the long queue, he turned back without thinking and joined the queue.
By the time he bought the fried dough cakes and returned to the palace, it was already evening.
He was about to go to the main courtyard when a voice called out to him from behind.
"Young Master Si, wait a moment."
Si Luo turned around and saw that it was Physician Lin, so she nodded to him, "Physician Lin."
Physician Lin glanced at him, then suddenly stepped forward, grasped his wrist, and began to take his pulse.
Si Luo was startled and was about to pull his hand away when he had already let go and instead began to examine Si Luo's complexion.
"Are you feeling unwell anywhere?" Physician Lin asked after a moment.
Si Luo shook her head calmly. "No."
"No?" Physician Lin frowned. "But judging from your appearance, it looks like you've been poisoned."
Si Luo was startled, but smiled and said, "I am not poisoned. Physician Lin must have made a mistake."
Physician Lin stroked his beard, frowned, and said doubtfully, "I'm sure I haven't misdiagnosed you. You do seem to have been poisoned, but I can't tell what kind of poison it is right now. How about this, come with me to my courtyard, and I'll examine you more carefully..."
"I'm perfectly fine, Physician Lin, you don't need to worry about me." Si Luo interrupted him, then strode towards the main courtyard.
Imperial Physician Lin stared at his hurriedly walking figure, quite puzzled.
Physician Lin was quite confident in his medical skills. Although he couldn't diagnose what kind of poison Si Luo had been poisoned with, he was certain that he had indeed been poisoned.
Why won't Si Luo admit it?
He was very puzzled.
Upon reaching the outside of the main courtyard, Si Luo stopped in his tracks.
Just then, Lü Qiao came out, and he handed her the fried dough wrapped in oil paper. "On the way back, I saw a newly opened pancake shop. Their fried dough seems to taste pretty good, so I bought one for your princess on the way."
Lü Qiao felt a little conflicted, but she still reached out and took it.
Si Yi disliked the Si family, and she should have shared his hatred and ignored the brother and sister. However, since they had saved the young lady, and after several days of interaction, they were not as bad as she had imagined, so she felt a little embarrassed to give them a hard time.
