Chapter 78 Gu Linchao: Am I as handsome as you?

When Wen Nongnong arrived at the gate of the Prince's Mansion and saw Gu Linchao wearing the prince's ceremonial robes, she almost choked on her own saliva.

Although their ceremonial robes were slightly different in style, they were the same color, so when they stood together, it looked like they were wearing matching outfits.

"Your Highness." She stepped forward and bowed.

Gu Linchao's gaze lingered on her radiant face for a moment before he said calmly, "Let's go."

“Okay.” Wen Nongnong followed him out of the mansion.

A black carriage was already parked there, pulled by two tall, fine horses.

It was the same carriage that Wen Nong Nong had ridden in when she returned from the Wen residence last time.

Unexpectedly, Gu Linchao was willing to let her sit at this palace banquet; he was truly generous.

She scoffed inwardly, lifted her skirt, walked past him, and went straight to the carriage.

Just as I was about to go up, a shadow suddenly fell over my head.

She turned around and saw Gu Linchao standing behind her.

She opened her mouth, "Your Highness doesn't ride a horse?"

"Hmm," Gu Linchao responded in a low voice.

"Then Your Highness, please get in the carriage first." Wen Nongnong tactfully stepped aside.

Gu Linchao paused for a moment, then said gently, "You go up first."

Wen Nongnong was stunned for a moment, thinking she had misheard. Had the sun risen in the west? Or had Gu Linchao been reshaped today? Why had he suddenly become so gentle and polite?

"Then, I will go up first." She hesitated only for a moment before lifting her skirt and getting into the carriage.

As soon as I entered the carriage and sat down, Gu Linchao came in.

Fortunately, the carriage was big enough; otherwise, it seems impossible for her to keep a distance of three feet.

She gave him the center seat and sat down on the side.

Soon, the carriage slowly drove away from the Prince's Palace.

This was the first time the two of them had sat together in such a confined space, and for a moment, the atmosphere was somewhat awkward.

Wen Nongnong glanced at the prince's aloof face, wondering if she should find a topic to talk about. Otherwise, it would be really strange to remain silent like this the whole way, and she couldn't stand it either.

Thinking it over, she coughed lightly, breaking the silence. "Your Highness."

Gu Linchao glanced at her. "What do you want to say?"

Wen Nongnong scratched her temple with her fingers, and after a moment, she finally remembered something and asked curiously, "By the way, who was that person standing with the prince yesterday? He was quite handsome..."

Before she could even utter the word, she felt a chill run down her spine.

She subconsciously crossed her arms and rubbed them together, looking at Gu Linchao with a puzzled expression.

This guy was perfectly fine, but who provoked him? The cold aura he's radiating is like a Force 10 blizzard.

“The prince of Xinjiang, Atuoqingye,” Gu Linchao said casually. Then, as if remembering something, he glanced at her and added, “As for his appearance, it’s so-so.”

Wen Nongnong muttered to herself, "Is he not good-looking? He's obviously very handsome, with a high nose, deep-set eyes, and a healthy tan..."

Gu Linchao's gaze fell on his slightly pale fingers. He paused, then pulled down his sleeve to cover them completely.

Upon arriving at the palace, the guards at the gate immediately stepped aside to let the Regent's carriage pass.

The carriage drove directly into the palace and stopped outside the Qionglu Hall.

"Your Highness, Your Highness, we've arrived." Wang Houde's voice rang out from outside the carriage.

Gu Linchao got up and got off the carriage, and Wen Nongnong followed suit.

The weather was fine today, so the palace banquet was held outside the palace.

When the two arrived, many officials' wives had already gathered there.

Upon seeing Gu Linchao, the conversation that had been taking place immediately ceased, and everyone stepped forward to pay their respects.
