Once the two maids' conversation had faded into the distance, Wen Nongnong and Lü Qiao emerged from under the flowering tree.
"Miss, the Mei Yan they were talking about, is she the maidservant by the Prince's side?" Green Fairy asked in confusion.
"Yes, right?" Wen Nongnong's eyes darted around, looking somewhat guilty.

However, Gu Linchao did not enter the main house tonight, but went to the side room instead.
When Wang Houde entered, Gu Linchao had already finished bathing and was sitting under the window reading a book.
He was wearing a white nightgown, and his long, still-wet hair was draped over his shoulders. A few playful strands of hair slipped down his shoulders, making him look less dignified and aloof, but more relaxed and carefree.
"Your Majesty, Her Majesty said she didn't say anything to Mei Yan, and it's already late. Her Majesty said she's going to her bedchamber, and we can talk about it tomorrow," Wang Houde relayed Wen Nongnong's words.
