The lord hummed in agreement, but didn't eat much, indicating that he had only taken a couple of bites before saying he needed to rest.
The Empress still felt strange after leaving the house. Looking at the servants around her, she noticed that one or two of them would lower their heads as soon as they saw her, and their flustered appearance made her feel that they were hiding something.
But they didn't stay long before leaving.

The morning court session was underway, but the emperor seemed to lack energy, yawning frequently.
Instead of finding it strange or worrying, people felt even more that he was incapable.
"The annual autumn hunt is just around the corner. What are Your Majesty's plans for it?" the minister asked.
The lord had no interest in such matters: "I won't concern myself with these things. Do whatever you want. As for where it is and how much it costs, that's up to you."
Upon hearing this, the ministers exchanged bewildered glances, as if his words implied that they should not discuss anything with him in the future.
Seeing the ministers' doubts, the emperor couldn't help but feel a headache coming on: "Then let the regent handle this matter. The regent has accompanied the late emperor on the autumn hunt before, so he naturally has experience. Regent, just do whatever is appropriate."
"Yes." Yi Zexuan didn't expect that he would hand over the matter himself without anyone needing to subtly inquire.
The morning court session ended not long afterward, and the emperor kept Yi Zexuan behind alone.
Soon, only the two of them remained in the entire hall.
"Does Your Majesty wish to speak with me about something?"
"I want to ask you what your opinion is on what happened yesterday."

As soon as they stepped outside, they saw Lin Ziwen with one arm around each of them, looking quite dashing.
Yi Zexuan chuckled, mocking this person for really being good at making trouble.
When he was summoned to an audience, the eunuch asked in doubt, "Isn't it inappropriate to bring him in?"
Lin Ziwen shrugged: "Inappropriate? Why inappropriate? These women will all be my beloved concubines in the future, so what's inappropriate about it?"
The two of them nestled shyly in Lin Ziwen's arms, while the father-in-law was utterly speechless.
Even the lord was puzzled when he saw this: "It's been a long time since I've seen the young master come to the palace. It seems that the young master is as dashing as ever."
