Yuan Ruo saw them looking around from afar and felt something was amiss, so after brushing past them, she turned around and quietly followed them.
"Do you know which place is the regent's tent?"
Upon hearing this, the man nodded: "Such a high-ranking official's tent must be bigger than others'. I guess it's whichever is bigger."
"You don't even look at how big the Empress's is. Isn't it the same size as everyone else's? How much bigger can his be?"
"You don't understand. The empress has fallen out of favor. What can she live in? She can only stay in a tent."
The man scratched his head: "That's true."
Upon hearing this, Yuan Ruo, who was following behind, couldn't help but chuckle.
"Who's there!" The two of them heard the noise.
"Who are you?" The two men grabbed Yuan Ruo.
Yuan Ruo dared not make any rash moves, lest her whereabouts be exposed.
"Ahhh!" Yuan Ruo babbled, gesturing with her phone as if she were mute.
"Is he mute?" one of them asked doubtfully.
"How come there are mute people in this palace?" another person wondered.
"Judging from his clothes, he's not from the palace; he's probably some high-ranking official."
After saying that, both of them believed it.
"Hey? Dumb guy, what are you doing following us?"
Yuan Ruo shook her head and quickly pointed behind her.
Seeing this, the two turned around and looked back.
"You mean your main tent is over there?"
Yuan Ruo nodded.
"Then why did you suddenly come back when I saw you walk past us just now?"
Yuan Ruo started babbling again, gesturing with her hands.
He meant that he forgot something and was going back to get it.
The other person was stunned: "You understand?"
The man hummed in agreement: "I suddenly understand."
"Oh, you really have a strong learning ability."
"It's alright, it's alright," the man said modestly.
Yuan Ruo's lips twitched: "Are you guys idiots?"
"Then hurry back, stop dawdling."
Yuan Ru nodded repeatedly.
Then the two exchanged glances and slowly followed him.
Yuan Ruo gave a wicked smile: "You actually followed me? There's definitely something fishy going on."
Then Yuan Ruo followed the original route back to Lord Zhang's place.
Then I went inside, grabbed something at random, and came out. As soon as I stepped out, I almost bumped into them.
Yuan Ruo pretended to be scared and stepped aside to let them pass. The two of them were a little embarrassed, but they forced themselves to go over.
Yuan Ru chuckled: "That's it?"
"Do you see whose tent this is?" one of them asked.
Another person shook his head: "How can you see clearly? But with such a small tent, it's probably just a minor official. Even the servant is mute. He can't afford to employ good people."
"Tsk, that makes sense. Let's hurry up and find that person."
"Um."
However, Yuan Ruo still secretly followed behind them.
When Lord Zhang saw this scene at the door, he ordered his two guards to follow, not to get too close so as to be noticed, nor to stay too far away so as not to be able to protect anyone.
"There's no one in this deep mountain forest. He's probably already been eaten by jackals and tigers."
"He is highly poisonous. Even if they eat him, there should be animal carcasses left behind."
"Those things eat in caves? How could we possibly know which cave it is? What if we get eaten too? With our abilities, we can't possibly defeat them."
Another person hesitated for a moment and said, "If you ask me, it's because the Empress did something unnecessary; it was completely pointless."
"Right?"
The two quickly reached an agreement.
"Let's pretend to take a stroll then. We have nowhere to go anyway, and I don't want to go back and listen to that empress nagging."
"good."
Yuan Ruo had learned enough and knew that they couldn't leave for a while, and she also knew an incredible secret, so Yuan Ruo left satisfied.
Once they reached the safe zone, Yuan Ruo said, "You two, come out here."
So the two of them got down.
"Did Lord Zhang send you?"
"The adults saw you following someone and were worried something might happen to you, so they let us follow."
Yuan Ruo nodded and said, "Not bad, you are all very well-mannered and capable."
"You flatter me, sir."
Yuan Ruo shook her head: "However, a servant cannot serve two masters. I estimate that even if I wanted you to work in the Prince's mansion, you would not agree."
"Thank you for your kindness, young master. Even if you were not a good person, we would still be loyal to you to the death. Besides, you are a good person."
Yuan Ruo nodded and said, "That makes sense."
Before long, Yuan Ruo returned to Lord Zhang's tent.
"What have you done?" Lord Zhang asked anxiously.
Yuan Ruo frowned, puzzled: "I don't know what you mean, sir. I don't know."
“I saw you being followed by someone first, and then you went to follow someone else.”
"Don't worry, sir, it's nothing serious."
Lord Zhang sighed, "It seems this will be a regular occurrence from now on."
"Lord Zhang is very enlightened."
Lord Zhang's lips twitched, and he ignored him.
"My lord, may I borrow your pen and ink? I need to write a letter to the prince."
"Releasing pigeons here would easily arouse suspicion."
Yuan Ruo disagreed: "Your wife and daughter didn't come, did they? Shouldn't you have written to let them know you're safe?"
"Oh dear! That won't do. What if something happens and they get involved?"
