Chapter 256

"Okay, but you're really something else. You probably took a lot of money, yet you still take the money and don't do anything."

The man followed behind Yuan Ruo and explained, "Hey? Don't say that. I only took less than half the money. There should be some bottom line in being a person."

"Wow, so that means this is another one of your bottom lines."

"These are all the rules of the trade. No one would understand them. Logically speaking, someone who knows the business should know what I'm going to do if I only ask for this much money."

Yuan Ruo was puzzled: "If everyone knew, wouldn't no one ask you to do anything?"

"We'll collect all the money then."

Yuan Ruo scoffed, "Is this your bottom line?"

"Don't talk about bottom lines with bad people. If someone hires an assassin, what is he after? Can he be a good person?"

Yuan Ruo stopped and turned her head: "You're already like this, why don't you just tell me who that person is?"

The man nearly bumped into him, then took a step back and explained, "Oh dear, they didn't say they wanted to kill you, they just wanted me to take you back."

Yuan Ruo remained silent, ignored him, and continued her search.

"But speaking of which, when you have some free time someday, why don't you spar with me again?"

"Then I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you. I'll be very busy lately."

The man clicked his tongue: "There's too much infighting within the royal family. Look how exhausted you all are. When will this ever end?"

Yuan Ruo exclaimed, "I didn't expect you to know so much. But you don't need to worry about this. Hurry up and go back to your territory. Otherwise, when the people who hired you find out that you've taken the money and haven't done the job, you probably won't be able to leave."

The man snorted, "So what? I'm not afraid."

"Alright, whatever you say."

Over there, Su Lixia had only drunk two glasses when she started to feel dizzy, and her cheeks were flushed.

"I'm not saying this to be mean, but why did you give her such an easy drink to get drunk? Look, she's drunk now," the man said.

Su Lixia waved her hand and said, "Don't blame them. I'm not drunk. I'm perfectly fine." Su Lixia's mouth was full of food, and she was slurring her words.

“I forgot…” Lin Ziwen said, looking at her unsteady figure.

However, Su Lixia was still raising her glass: "Come on, let's drink this up, hoping we will grow vigorously towards the sun!" After saying that, Su Lixia drank it down.

"What is she saying?" Lin Ziwen asked, puzzled.

The person explained, "She meant that she hoped our future would be better and better."

Lin Ziwen raised an eyebrow: "It seems that the Central Plains language is indeed profound and extensive."

The man smiled and said, "That's right."

Seeing that Su Lixia was already beyond saving, Lin Ziwen looked at Yi Zexuan and said, "You'll probably need to take your little princess back with you."

"Don't worry about her, judging from her appearance, she can probably sit for a while longer."

As soon as Yi Zexuan finished speaking, Su Lixia leaned back and almost fell to the ground.

"Wow! Everyone else climbs onto the table, but she was lying on the ground." Lin Ziwen exclaimed as the person caught Su Lixia from behind.

"Don't just stand there, take her back." The man said to Yi Zexuan.

"Okay." Yi Zexuan then picked her up in a princess carry, preparing to take her back.

"You asked if we could continue drinking when I get back."

Lin Ziwen waved at him: "Don't worry, don't worry."

"Hey? I mean, why do you always like other people's people? Can't you try to get one for yourself?" the man said, looking at Lin Ziwen.

Lin Ziwen frowned slightly: "What are you saying?"
