Chapter 33 Shameless Scoundrel

"You've wasted a lot of our time," Yi Zexuan muttered under his breath.

Su Lixia's lips twitched, she gave an awkward laugh, and said, "I didn't mean to."

Yi Zexuan chuckled and deliberately jostled her.

"Oh!" Su Lixia panicked and instinctively hugged Yi Zexuan's neck. The wound on her buttocks was pulled, and Su Lixia's face contorted in pain.

Seeing this, Yi Zexuan frowned slightly and asked, "Are you injured?"

Su Lixia gave a muffled "Mmm" and said, "Maybe, anyway, it hurts quite a bit."

Then Yi Zexuan sped up and soon saw the bushes by the roadside, which meant they had emerged from the fog.

"Your Highness, you're back?" The young guard saw Yi Zexuan emerge from the bushes in the distance.

Seeing that Su Lixia in his arms looked a little off, he asked, "What's wrong, Princess?"

"Princess?" Xiaolian woke up with a start and ran out as soon as she heard the word "princess".

"It's nothing! I'm just tired." Yi Zexuan walked past him and continued walking.

"Tired?" The young guard scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.

Upon getting out of the carriage and seeing this, Xiaolian ran while calling out "Princess!"

"Your princess is fine. If you keep shouting, you might go deaf." Su Lixia could only describe Xiao Lian's voice as deafening.

The soldiers around her were also awakened by her calls. They opened their eyes unhappily, squeezing their eyes open but not fully open, to check what was going on.

"I have some medicine for wounds in my carriage. Take her to get it," Yi Zexuan said to the young guard.

"Ah! Okay." The little guard replied, seeing that Xiao Lian was still following her princess with a worried expression.

"Oh dear! You'd better hurry up and leave! You can't be of any help here." The young guard stepped forward, grabbed her, and led her toward the carriage ahead.

Just as they reached the carriage, they heard Xiaolian sobbing. The young guard frowned and asked, "Why are you crying? It's as if I've bullied you."

Upon hearing this, Xiaolian wiped away her tears and said aggrievedly, "What do you know?"

After saying that, he grinned, lowered his voice, and said, "My princess has never been this far before. She has only just left the capital and not long ago, and she has already been injured. It's all my fault for not protecting her well."

The guard sighed softly, "So you're blaming yourself. I thought it was something serious. Look, my prince is carrying her. Maybe your princess fell because she was running too fast. After all, she's a delicate and pampered princess. Isn't that normal?"

After saying that, he climbed into the carriage to look for something.

“My princess is not that delicate. Back then, my princess was punished with three strokes of the cane by His Majesty and she didn’t utter a sound. She must be very uncomfortable now to be acting like this.”

The young guard gave her a disdainful look, handed her a large bag of medicine, and said, "If you're really worried about your princess, then hurry up and take these over there."

Xiaolian bent over because the package was so heavy. After holding it, she asked in confusion, "Aren't you going over there?"

The young guard leaned casually against the carriage and said, "What am I supposed to do? Apply medicine for your princess?"

Upon hearing this, her little face frowned: "You!"

Unable to utter a curse, he could only snort and then scold, "What a shameless scoundrel!"

The young guard shrugged, unconcerned.

Xiaolian didn't say much to him and hurriedly left.

"Ouch!" Su Lixia was put into the carriage by Yi Zexuan, and then she lay on it, holding her waist with one hand, and cried out.

"Princess, I'm back." Xiao Lian got into the carriage.

"He's quite lazy, bringing everything here. But it doesn't matter. The one for treating sprains and bruises is in the blue porcelain bottle, and the one for stopping bleeding and removing blood stasis is in the white porcelain bottle. Look for it yourself."

Xiao Lian nodded and said, "Thank you, Your Highness."
