The next morning, someone knocked on Su Lixia's door.
"Miss? Miss? It's time to set off, please get up quickly!"
Hearing the sounds outside the door, Su Lixia felt irritated and wanted to vent her frustration. She frowned and turned over impatiently.
Xiao Lian sat up, rubbed her eyes, and went downstairs. She slightly opened the door and found that the young guard was standing outside.
"Quickly wake your young lady up, we should be setting off soon."
Xiaolian nodded and said, "Okay, we'll be there soon."
After saying that, he closed the door, stretched, patted his face, walked back, and nudged Su Lixia by the tatami mat.
“Princess, it’s really time to get up. If you don’t get up now, it will be too late, and the prince will be angry.”
"Ah... I don't want to get up," Su Lixia said weakly.
So Xiaolian had no choice but to continue pushing her and calling out to her.
"Princess, get up quickly. Let's sleep in the carriage. If we leave early, we can arrive this afternoon and then get a good night's sleep."
Seeing that Su Lixia was still unwilling to get up, Xiaolian suddenly raised her voice and said, "Oh! Get up quickly! You're very tired!"
Upon hearing the sound, Su Lixia suddenly opened her eyes. Good heavens, this was the first time she had ever heard her speak in anger.
"Get up, I'll get up right away." Su Lixia immediately stood up.
Xiao Lian's face twitched, realizing she had said the wrong thing, but seeing that Su Lixia hadn't recovered, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Sure enough, this princess is always a little late no matter the occasion." The little guard looked at Su Lixia, who was about to run downstairs, and was slightly dissatisfied with this "princess syndrome".
"Why are you doing this again?" Lin Ziwen asked, puzzled.
The guard coughed twice to cover his embarrassment and said, "I didn't say anything. You must be having auditory hallucinations from not sleeping well."
"Heh." Lin Ziwen was speechless, then said, "Just your snoring alone makes it hard for me to sleep, not to mention your smelly feet!"
Upon hearing this, the young guard blushed and questioned, "Who are you talking about?"
Lin Ziwen did not answer him, but stepped forward to greet Su Lixia.
"I'm so sorry, I'm really sorry. I overslept this morning and have kept you waiting."
"It's alright, there's still plenty of time, let's go."
Su Lixia hummed in agreement, then asked, "And who is 'the other'?"
"Who is that? Oh, him, he's already waiting in the carriage, isn't he?" Lin Ziwen hadn't quite caught up with Su Lixia's accent for a moment.
"Oh, okay. Let's hurry up and go then."
So the two of them went ahead, with the little guard following behind, grimacing at their retreating figures.
Seeing this, Xiaolian reached out and slapped him, glaring at him and saying, "What are you doing?"
"Nothing's wrong! Let's go!" The young guard was startled and didn't even notice her.
Lin Ziwen helped Su Lixia onto the carriage and then said, "I will inform the princess when we get close, so that she can put on the crown and robes that His Majesty gave her."
"Alright, but I think it's really unnecessary to wear such clothes after such a long and dusty journey. It would be better to wait until we arrive at the Prince's Mansion, take a bath, and then meet everyone."
Lin Ziwen smiled slightly and said, "The people from the Prince's Mansion will definitely greet you at the entrance, so the princess will see them as soon as possible. The princess can just take care of things quickly."
Su Lixia shrugged and said, "Alright, in that case, let's do as Father Emperor wishes."
"Well then, Princess, please rest well."
