Yi Zexuan glanced at Uncle Li and gestured for him to prepare chili powder. The latter understood, nodded, and left.
Lin Ziwen felt a pang of heartache upon hearing Su Lixia's words. Was this drinking because the kitchen staff had been punished?
Su Lixia picked up her wine glass and wanted to pour it for herself. Xiao Lian tried to stop her, but Lin Ziwen beat her to it.
"This wine is strong; the princess cannot drink any more, or she will get drunk."
Su Lixia frowned, looking somewhat displeased, and said, "It's alright. Life is short, so you should drink as much as you want. Don't be shy, come on, let's drink together!"
As she spoke, Su Lixia poured Lin Ziwen a glass.
He handed the glass to Lin Ziwen, then clinked glasses with him and said, "Cheers!" After saying that, he downed another glass himself.
Then, staring blankly at Lin Ziwen, she tilted her head and asked in confusion, "Huh? Why haven't you drunk it yet?"
"I drank it." Lin Ziwen sulked along with him.
"Hehe." Su Lixia chuckled foolishly, then slumped onto the table.
Xiao Lian stepped forward with concern to support her swaying body and said, "Your Highness, my princess is not a good drinker and is already drunk. Please send someone to take her back to her room to rest."
"Granny?" Xiaolian turned to the nanny, gesturing for her to call a guard.
"You, come here." The old woman casually pointed to a guard.
"Quick, pick up the princess," Xiaolian said to him.
The guards stepped forward, ready to pick up the princess.
"Let me do it," Lin Ziwen said, pulling him aside.
"Young master, you can't hold your liquor. You should go back to your own residence and rest. It's fine as long as the prince is here." Uncle Li stepped forward to stop him. There was a difference in rank. After all, she was the future princess, and he should keep his distance from others.
Yi Zexuan frowned. Uncle Li's words meant he wanted him to come.
"It's alright, just let the young master escort the princess back." He didn't want that.
"Thank you for your trouble, young master." Xiao Lian handed Su Lixia over to Lin Ziwen.
Lin Ziwen half-squatted down for support; Su Lixia's dress was really heavy, and it was indeed difficult to lift her up.
"Ouch! It hurts!" Su Lixia rubbed the skin.
Adding to the fact that Su Lixia was restless, Lin Ziwen could only carry her for a few steps before he couldn't go on. Helpless, he put Su Lixia down and let her lean against him to stand.
Yi Zexuan closed his eyes lightly, sighed softly, and then stood up: "You should exercise more." After saying that, he took it from him.
Lin Ziwen chuckled and said, "If I keep pushing myself to train, you probably won't be able to beat me."
"I'll give you time. We can practice together later." Yi Zexuan picked him up in his arms and then turned to leave.
After Yi Zexuan had walked away, Uncle Li asked, "Young Master, would you like to stay at the manor to rest, or return to your own residence?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Ziwen regained his composure, patted Uncle Li on the shoulder, and said, "Then naturally we should go back to our own residence. If we don't go back soon, the servants at home will be making a huge fuss."
Uncle Li smiled slightly and said, "Then I will see you out of the mansion, young master."
"Okay, thank you for your help."
Over there, Yi Zexuan carried Su Lixia directly to the master bedroom. Fortunately, the bed had already been made. He placed her on the couch, covered her with a light blanket, and prepared to leave.
Su Lixia grabbed him and, with a burst of strength, knocked Yi Zexuan to the ground.
"Oh, my lovely pillow, it's been a long time." Su Lixia patted Yi Zexuan's back and put one leg on his waist.
Granny Xiaolian and the guards all gasped in shock, staring at Su Lixia in astonishment once again.
Yi Zexuan's face darkened. He turned his head with difficulty to look at them and said coldly, "Get out of here."
Upon hearing this, all three were startled. The young guard, realizing what was happening, pushed the two of them away.
