Exam Tips

Exam Tips

In June, Jiang Jingshu began her monotonous training life, with her daily routine consisting almost entirely of eating, drawing, and sleeping.

In her spare time, she would doodle whatever she wanted in her notebook.

For example, the trees outside the window, the studio bathed in sunlight, and sometimes the person you think about.

As I drew, I found myself smiling unconsciously, as if recharging myself. Soon, I was fully charged and could continue to immerse myself in my studies.

During the six-month intensive training, many of her classmates took leave due to the high intensity of the practice, but Jiang Jingshu never missed a single class.

The teachers all praised her paintings for their inspiration and said she was a student with great potential.

Jiang Jingshu's paintings are indeed full of inspiration, after all, what she is doing and what she is holding is what she is most proud of in her life.

It's also what she loves most.

So the past six months haven't been too difficult for her, at most just a bit tiring. But Jiang Jingshu doesn't care about that; when you're tired, you don't have time to think about random things.

Her paintings got better every day.

With the joint entrance exam drawing ever closer, Jiang Jingshu got ready and set off for the exam.

A few days before the joint exam, in order to ease the students' anxiety and facilitate communication with their families, the school distributed mobile phones.

The night before the exam, she had prepared her admission ticket and ID card when her phone suddenly rang.

It's Jiang Yuan.

Jiang Jingshu answered the phone quickly. During the training camp, she rarely spoke to Jiang Yuan on the phone.

"Hey, Xiaojing." Jiang Yuan spoke first as the call connected, "What time is the exam tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow morning at 8:30," Jiang Jingshu replied.

Jiang Yuan only gave her a few words of advice, telling her that no matter how she did on the exam, her family would love her.

Jiang Jingshu felt a warmth in her heart. In her previous life, in order to gain her father's attention, she always played the role of a gentle and virtuous princess, inquiring about her father's preferences everywhere, just so that one day her father would have her in his eyes.

However, she didn't understand one thing: if you truly like and care about someone, no matter what that person is like, she will be liked and cared for.

Despite her best efforts in her past life, she failed to win the Emperor Yongning's favor, and it seems that her father has noticed that she has become a curse that traps her.

After transmigrating, she did nothing, yet easily gained all the love. She couldn't believe she could hear the words she could never have heard in her previous life: "It doesn't matter what, your family loves you."

Could Emperor Yongning have such a gentle side?

Maybe, but not to her.

She was probably just as gentle to her elder brothers and sisters.

The next day, Jiang Jingshu got up early, tidied herself up, and went to the examination hall. Outside the examination hall, she saw Jiang Yuan.

Jiang Yuan was dressed in red, a rare sight for him. When he saw Jiang Jingshu coming over, he quickly waved the small flag in his hand at her.

Jiang Jingshu rushed over, quite surprised by Jiang Yuan's arrival, and asked, "Dad, why did you suddenly come?"

"How could I miss my daughter's important day?"

Jiang Yuan smiled kindly at Jiang Jingshu, then coughed twice. Jiang Jingshu asked him, "Do you have a cold?"

Jiang Yuan shook his head. "It's probably just too cold. It's nothing." After he finished speaking, he looked at Jiang Jingshu and said, "Jingshu, just do your best."

Jiang Jingshu nodded heavily and stepped into the examination room.

At 12:20, Jiang Jingshu left the examination room. Jiang Yuan took her out to eat and told her that he had an urgent matter at the company and couldn't stay with her for the afternoon's exam. Jiang Jingshu told Jiang Yuan to go ahead and do his work, and that she was fine.

After speaking with Jiang Yuan, Jiang Jingshu entered the examination room and began her afternoon exam.

Finally, after everything was over, Jiang Jingshu felt a great sense of relief. Her steps as she walked out of the examination room became lighter. As soon as she stepped out of the school gate, she saw someone she never expected.

The person she had been thinking about day and night seemed to suddenly appear before her eyes, and Jiang Jingshu was a little dazed.

The next second, the boy stuffed a bunch of sunflowers into her hand.

"Xie Zhijin, why are you in City A again?" Jiang Jingshu looked at the sunflower in her hand. Sunflowers grow towards the sun.

There was a note inside. Just as Jiang Jingshu was about to take it out to read it, Xie Zhijin stopped her, saying, "Read it when you get back."

Jiang Jingshu had no choice but to nod. She asked Xie Zhijin, "You still haven't answered me. How did you know I had an exam today? I didn't even tell you!"

Xie Zhijin unconsciously touched his nose. "I looked it up myself."

Jiang Jingshu couldn't help but smile, and Xie Zhijin couldn't help but smile too. Xie Zhijin said, "Want to have dinner together?"

Jiang Jingshu nodded.

There happened to be a Jixiang Wonton shop outside the exam hall. Jiang Jingshu nudged Xie Zhijin's arm and said, "Xie Zhijin, I want to eat wontons."

The two entered the store, and Jiang Jingshu placed the flowers on the chair next to her.

The waiter came over enthusiastically and, seeing the flowers in Jiang Jingshu's hands, couldn't help but tease, "The flowers your boyfriend gave you are quite pretty."

Jiang Jingshu quickly waved her hand, saying, "Who gives sunflowers as a date?"

The waiter realized he had said something wrong and stopped bothering him.

"You're in your final year of high school, Xie Zhijin," Jiang Jingshu said, seemingly sighing. "Are you under a lot of academic pressure?"

Xie Zhijin shook his head, "It's alright."

Jiang Jingshu subconsciously said "Oh," after all, Xie Zhijin was a good student and shouldn't be under as much pressure as she was, and she couldn't help but sigh.

Xie Zhijin noticed a hint of helplessness in Jiang Jingshu's eyes, and he suddenly handed the bag he was carrying to her.

Meeting Jiang Jingshu's surprised gaze, Xie Zhijin said somewhat embarrassedly, "Jiang Jingshu, I know you haven't touched your academic subjects for half a year. Here are some key notes I compiled, which should be able to help you."

"Xie Zhijin?" Jiang Jingshu unzipped the bag and looked inside. There were seven thick notebooks. Jiang Jingshu randomly picked one up, and the boy's clear and strong handwriting came into view.

“You don’t know how, you can call me anytime.” Xie Zhijin lowered his head and started eating his wontons.

Jiang Jingshu was somewhat moved. In the past six months, she had not sent Xie Zhijin a single text message or made a single phone call.

But he still appeared in front of her on the day of her exam, and even worried that she hadn't studied her academic subjects because of the training camp, so he spent a lot of time making notes for her academic subjects.

Jiang Jingshu's eyes welled up with tears. It was strange; since her transmigration, her tear ducts had become increasingly sensitive, and it seemed that even a small thing could move her to tears.

But this is no small matter.

Organizing such a thick stack of notes will inevitably take up a lot of Xie Zhijin's time.

"Thank you." Jiang Jingshu knew that these three words carried the least weight, but right now, it seemed that these were the only three words she could say.

"What are you thanking me for? I was reviewing while I was organizing this," Xie Zhijin said, seemingly unconcerned.

Jiang Jingshu knew that Xie Zhijin wanted to ease her burden.

Jiang Jingshu carefully put it away as if it were a priceless treasure. "Xie Zhijin, which university do you want to apply to?"

However, Xie Zhijin looked up and stared directly into Jiang Jingshu's eyes, "That's the question I should be asking you, which university do you want to apply to?"

Jiang Jingshu shook her head, unsure if she would still be here after the college entrance examination. The agave was still in the dormitory, and she didn't know how it was growing in the past six months. During the training camp, she hadn't thought about which university she wanted to apply to.

"Don't you have a target school, or do you just not want to tell me?"

Seeing Xie Zhijin's dimmed gaze, Jiang Jingshu quickly said to avoid any misunderstanding, "No, don't misunderstand. I'm just a little confused. I'll study first, and then I'll go to whichever school I can get into."

Xie Zhijin's mood was clearly relieved by Jiang Jingshu's words. "Jiang Jingshu, we are very similar."

"What?" Jiang Jingshu didn't quite understand Xie Zhijin's words.

"That's what I think too." Xie Zhijin smiled at Jiang Jingshu with a relaxed expression.

After the two finished their meal, Jiang Jingshu asked Xie Zhijin, "When are you going back to Z City?"

“My ticket is for 7 o’clock,” Xie Zhijin replied.

"Then I'll take you to the train station."

To get to the train station from here, we need to take a bus. This Jixiang Wonton shop is a bit far from the bus stop, so Xie Zhijin suggested, "How about we scan a shared electric scooter card?"

Jiang Jingshu shook her head.

Xie Zhijin glanced at her and smiled, "How about I take you with me?"

Jiang Jingshu can't ride an electric bike, or even a bicycle. Since she transmigrated to this world, she usually takes the bus or a taxi and has never ridden a bicycle or electric bike herself.

But it seemed that everyone her age could ride one, which made Jiang Jingshu find it hard to say.

Xie Zhijin sat in the front, and Jiang Jingshu sat in the back. She didn't know how to reach out to support Xie Zhijin.

She gently tugged at Xie Zhijin's sleeve.

"Don't worry, I'm a very steady rider." Xie Zhijin's voice traveled with the wind to Jiang Jingshu's ears.

Jiang Jingshu gently tugged at Xie Zhijin's sleeve and said to him, "It's very steady."

Jiang Jingshu closed her eyes, feeling the gentle breeze caressing her face.

This was the second time she had sat on the back of Xie Zhijin's bike. She couldn't help but recall the first time, on her birthday, when Xie Zhijin was riding smoothly in front of her and asked, "Did you make a wish for your birthday?"

Now, sitting in the back seat of Xie Zhijin, she stared at his back and couldn't help but smile.

The two quickly arrived at the bus stop, and luckily, the bus arrived soon, and they boarded together.

There were few people on the bus. It gets dark early in winter, and the lights on the bus were already on. The two people sat side by side in the back, and Xie Zhijin suddenly shook his head.

Jiang Jingshu noticed his movement and quickly asked him, "What's wrong?"

"I regret it," Xie Zhijin said, glancing at the sky outside.

"Regret what?" Jiang Jingshu was clearly puzzled.

"I can't just think about spending more time with you," Xie Zhijin said, pointing to the sky outside. "It's already dark, it's not safe for you to go back now."

Jiang Jingshu smiled and said, "I'm not a child, how could anyone kidnap me?"

Xie Zhijin retorted, "You're not an adult yet."

"You talk like you're an adult."

The two bickered as they arrived at the train station.

Jiang Jingshu tried to pull Xie Zhijin inside, but Xie Zhijin stopped and said, "I called a ride-hailing service for you."

Jiang Jingshu: ?

"It'll be there in three minutes," Xie Zhijin said.

"Then how am I supposed to get you there?" Jiang Jingshu found it somewhat amusing. "Besides, I can just call it myself later."

"I'll feel a little more at ease once I see you get on the bus." Xie Zhijin was already annoyed, because he was so greedy to stay with her a little longer that he ignored the increasingly dark sky.

As the two chatted, the taxi arrived. Xie Zhijin opened the back door and gestured for Jiang Jingshu to get in.

Jiang Jingshu had no choice but to compromise. She gave Xie Zhijin a few instructions, then got into the car with the flowers and the "exam tips" Xie Zhijin had given her.

Finally, the monotonous training camp came to an end, and Jiang Jingshu transformed into a senior high school student.

In December, the temperature had already dropped. She returned to school and stepped into the classroom once again. Jiang Jingshu suddenly felt a little dazed.

When Li Xuan saw Jiang Jingshu return, she quickly and warmly took her schoolbag from her, "You're back?"

Jiang Jingshu was a little embarrassed and pulled the schoolbag back into her hands. "I can do it myself."

Li Xuan didn't insist any further, and simply pulled Jiang Jingshu back to her seat.

The atmosphere in the class was completely different from when she left. Maybe this is the atmosphere of senior year. When Jiang Jingshu came back, it was during a break between classes, and most students were catching up on sleep at their desks.

She didn't seem used to such a quiet classroom.

When the bespectacled man saw her return, he unusually pulled out a chair for her. Jiang Jingshu politely thanked him and sat down.

The school bell rang at just the right time.
