Tense and exciting escape room
After getting off the car, Su Xiaoyue pulled Jiang Jingshu ahead, while Xie Zhijin and Wen Jinyan carried the luggage behind.
"Xiaoyue, where is the hotel you booked?" This was Jiang Jingshu's first trip, and she was dazzled by the unfamiliar scenery. S City was much more prosperous than their home city Z City, with skyscrapers everywhere, which made Jiang Jingshu dizzy.
"It'll be quick, it'll be quick," Su Xiaoyue reassured Jiang Jingshu while taking out her phone for navigation.
Su Xiaoyue glanced at it twice, then turned around and handed the phone to Wen Jinyan, saying, "Is this navigation software crazy?"
Wen Jinyan smiled and took the phone from Su Xiaoyue, then led everyone to the hotel.
They booked two double rooms. Su Xiaoyue and Jiang Jingshu stayed in room 417, while Wen Jinyan and Xie Zhijin stayed in room 418.
After finally settling everything in, the four of them decided to go out for a meal.
"Jiang Jiang, Jiang Jiang." Su Xiaoyue took another dress out of her suitcase and handed it to Jiang Jingshu. "Jiang Jiang, how about we wear matching outfits?"
Jiang Jingshu glanced at the skirt; it was no longer than knee-length, and she instinctively resisted it.
Although the clothes were indeed very beautiful, Jiang Jingshu, as an ancient person, felt somewhat uncomfortable going out in a short skirt.
However, she longed for it.
Seemingly noticing the expectation in Jiang Jingshu's eyes, Su Xiaoyue handed the clothes to Jiang Jingshu, saying, "Here, take this." She took out the super warm, super warm leggings from her suitcase.

Jiang Jingshu sat quietly on the stool, letting Su Xiaoyue paint and draw on her face.
Su Xiaoyue's makeup skills are top-notch; she can create a makeup look that best suits Jiang Jingshu's appearance.
There was a knock on the door; it was Xie Zhijin's voice. "Have you finished packing?"
"Not yet." Su Xiaoyue said as she applied eyeliner to Jiang Jingshu.
"Su Xiaoyue, I'm starving." Wen Jinyan's voice came through. "Are you messing with your makeup again? You're already so beautiful, even without makeup you look amazing."
"Wen Jinyan, if you shut up I can work faster. If you keep rushing me, you'll be starving." They've already gotten to the false eyelashes, and Jiang Jingshu, who's getting her false eyelashes applied for the first time, feels very uncomfortable in her eyes.
"Xiaoyue, these false eyelashes are making my eyes feel so uncomfortable."
"Is this your first time wearing false eyelashes?" Su Xiaoyue patiently removed the false eyelashes little by little. "It's okay, then we won't wear these. Jiang Jiang, your eyelashes are long enough, just curl them up."
Jiang Jingshu nodded. "Xiaoyue, you and Wen Jinyan seem to have a good relationship."
“Yes, we grew up together and went to kindergarten together.” Su Xiaoyue said as she recalled, “I didn’t plan to take him, but he kept asking me to take him, which bothered me so much that I had no choice but to take him.”
Jiang Jingshu smiled gently, and Su Xiaoyue finished drawing very quickly.
Jiang Jingshu looked in the mirror and was stunned. Her eyes had become even more lively under Su Xiaoyue's skill, and her makeup was exceptionally clean. Jiang Jingshu never thought she could look this beautiful. She turned to Su Xiaoyue with surprise and said, "Xiaoyue, you're amazing!"
Su Xiaoyue waved her hand and smiled at Jiang Jingshu, "It's because you have a good foundation. It's super comfortable for me to draw."
Su Xiaoyue opened the hotel room door, and Wen Jinyan was standing at the door looking at her with a resentful expression. "Su Xiaoyue, I shouldn't have said you were a hamster today. You should be a snail."
"What, you think I'm too slow? Then why did you insist on coming out with me?" Su Xiaoyue leaned against the door, staring at Wen Jinyan.
Jiang Jingshu came out of the room and, seeing the two of them, asked Wen Jinyan, "Where is Xie Zhijin?"
Wen Jinyan stared at Jiang Jingshu's face, "Was your makeup done by Su Xiaoyue?"
Jiang Jingshu nodded.
"Su Xiaoyue, didn't you say that people who wear makeup have to wear false eyelashes?" Wen Jinyan looked at Su Xiaoyue with a resentful expression.
"How can you compare to Jiang Jiang? Jiang Jiang's eyelashes are so thick and full, what about yours? Can you even do without them?" Su Xiaoyue pulled Jiang Jingshu's hand. "Don't worry about it. I won't put them on for you next time, okay?"
Jiang Jingshu was both amused and exasperated. "You even did Wen Jinyan's makeup?"
Wen Jinyan seemed to be accusing Su Xiaoyue, "She always uses me as a practice subject when she does her makeup, and she even insists on putting false eyelashes on me."
"Tell me, do you think I drew you handsome or not?"
"Handsome." Wen Jinyan didn't say anything else, just gave Su Xiaoyue a thumbs up.
The two of them were arguing like elementary school students, which made Jiang Jingshu laugh.
Xie Zhijin also happened to come out of the room and blushed when he saw Jiang Jingshu's outfit.
"Xie Zhijin, why are you blushing? Our Jiang Jiang is too beautiful!"
Xie Zhijin shifted his gaze from Jiang Jingshu. "She is very beautiful."
Jiang Jingshu and Su Xiaoyue went out wearing matching outfits, with two boys following behind them, giving off the vibe of a young lady going shopping with her butler following behind.
"I feel like we're just like their lackeys," Wen Jinyan said quietly.
Xie Zhijin, standing nearby, said, "I'd be happy to."
Wen Jinyan suddenly stopped and looked at Xie Zhijin's flushed face, and couldn't help but say, "Brother, something's wrong with you."
It felt like someone had exposed her secret. "Don't overthink it."
"Brother, have you fallen for Jiang Jingshu?" Wen Jinyan put a hand on Xie Zhijin's shoulder.
"No."
"What are you being so stubborn about? Your eyes never left her." Wen Jinyan saw right through her.
"What about Su Xiaoyue?" Xie Zhijin took Wen Jinyan's hand off his shoulder. "You call her 'little hamster' and 'little snail' so affectionately, you like her quite a bit, don't you?"
"Xie Zhijin, you start spreading rumors when you can't win an argument with me. I'm not talking to you anymore." Seeing that she couldn't win the argument with Xie Zhijin, Wen Jinyan quickly went to Su Xiaoyue's side.
Seeing that Xie Zhijin was alone, Jiang Jingshu stopped walking and went to Xie Zhijin's side.
"Xie Zhijin, what are you thinking about?"
"No." Xie Zhijin simply dared not look at Jiang Jingshu again.
The two walked quietly. "Xiaoyue said she's going to play an escape room tomorrow. Have you ever played one?"
"No," Xie Zhijin replied honestly.

The next day, the four of them went to an escape room, a special tourist attraction in S City where almost every visitor would come to try out an escape room.
Su Xiaoyue chose a slightly scary theme, and the four of them went in.
The scene inside was very dark, with only a faint light.
Jiang Jingshu felt a chill run down her spine. She was afraid of the dark, and the insecurity it brought made her unable to move.
She clung tightly to Su Xiaoyue's hand, her body covered in cold sweat.
"Jiang Jiang, are you scared?" Noticing the person next to her trembling slightly, Su Xiaoyue turned to look at her.
"It's nothing." Jiang Jingshu shook her head and slowly followed Su Xiaoyue forward.
“There’s a combination lock here. If we can crack it, we can get into the next room,” Wen Jinyan said in the darkness.
Upon hearing Wen Jinyan's voice, Su Xiaoyue ran over to find him and they deciphered the mystery together.
Jiang Jingshu felt the people around her disappear, and she couldn't help but feel a little scared. She squatted in a corner, waiting for her partner to solve the mystery.
"Jiang Jingshu?"
Xie Zhijin's voice rang out, "If you're really scared, hold my hand."
Jiang Jingshu had no strength and couldn't stand up at all. Her voice trembled slightly as she asked, "Xie Zhijin, can you help me?"
The walls of the secret room were covered in bloodstains left by the shopkeeper, and with the terrifying background music, Jiang Jingshu was so scared that her legs went weak.
Xie Zhijin helped Jiang Jingshu up and slowly led her forward. "If you're scared, close your eyes and come with me." After saying that, Xie Zhijin seemed to remember something, and he took out two earplugs from his pocket and handed them to Jiang Jingshu.
"This music is indeed a bit scary; wearing this might make things a little better."
"You've prepared everything so well." Jiang Jingshu took the earplugs and put them in her ears.
She still didn't dare to open her eyes, and could only pull Xie Zhijin along step by step.
Reaching a narrow spot, Jiang Jingshu suddenly lost her footing and began to fall. She screamed, "Help—"
Xie Zhijin quickly grabbed her arm. "Are you alright?"
Jiang Jingshu shook her head, gripping Xie Zhijin's hand tightly. Xie Zhijin patiently stayed beside her, talking to her. The task of deciphering the code was entirely entrusted to Su Xiaoyue and Wen Jinyan.
The two of them were really engrossed in their game.
"Sorry, I lowered your experience." Jiang Jingshu said to Xie Zhijin somewhat apologetically.
Xie Zhijin shook his head, seemingly unconcerned. "Playing with you is fun too."
After Su Xiaoyue unlocked the lock, the lights in the room were turned on.
Wen Jinyan clapped her hands, "We two are truly worthy of being partners."
Just as Jiang Jingshu breathed a sigh of relief after the lights came on, the sensation under her feet made her freeze in place. She tugged at Xie Zhijin's sleeve and said, "Xie Zhijin, I feel like someone is grabbing my feet."
Xie Zhijin glanced down, then squatted down and broke the prop open. "Don't be afraid, it's just a prop."
Jiang Jingshu took a deep breath in fright.
Several NPCs also made cameo appearances later on. Xie Zhijin covered Jiang Jingshu's eyes the whole time, telling her not to be afraid.
The two were so close that Jiang Jingshu felt her heart was about to jump out of her chest. She slightly opened her eyes and looked at Xie Zhijin beside her.
Jiang Jingshu subconsciously became flustered, her intuition telling her that her current emotions were not right.
She should be scared, but why is she also a little nervous, and along with that nervousness comes a sense of security?
She watched Xie Zhijin hold her hand every step of the way, watched him look around to prevent any NPCs from suddenly appearing and scaring her, watched him cover her eyes the moment a ghost suddenly appeared and gently reassure her that everything was alright.
For the first time, Jiang Jingshu felt this feeling of "peace of mind". She suddenly felt that Xie Zhijin made her feel very safe.
After a long three hours, the escape room was successfully completed thanks to the intelligence and wit of Su Xiaoyue and Wen Jinyan.
Jiang Jingshu thought that it was thanks to Xie Zhijin talking to her and diverting her attention that she wasn't so scared.
After leaving the secret room, Wen Jinyan and Su Xiaoyue were still discussing what had just happened.
Xie Zhijin looked at Jiang Jingshu's pale face, took out a bottle of mineral water from his bag, and opened it for her. "You've had a hard day. Have some water to calm down."
Jiang Jingshu took it, and thinking about her recent change in mindset, she was a little at a loss. "Thank you for earlier."
"It's okay, it's normal to be scared. We won't play this next time."
Upon hearing Xie Zhijin's words, Jiang Jingshu nodded.
