Chapter 68 How is her illness?

Heiduo took the girl from Jiang Li's back and looked up at Xiaogui and Xiaojie behind him.

"Come with me."

This calm tone seemed to be speaking to the two of them as well.

Xiaojie and Xiaogui followed Jiang Li in.

Heiduo took them to another room and laid the girl on a straw mat.

Aunt Qiao, who had not slept yet, heard the noise outside and vaguely saw a light on in the room opposite, so she got up to check.

"Xiaoduo, what are you doing here?"

As soon as Aunt Qiao finished speaking, someone walked in.

"Aunt Qiao."

Jiang Li turned around and called out to her softly.

The warm yellow candlelight reflected on Jiang Li's face, which made Aunt Qiao, who had been thinking about him day and night, stunned for a moment. She raised her hand and rubbed her eyes several times before she confirmed that Jiang Li was really back.

"Xiao Li, you're back." She walked quickly forward and gently grasped her hand with her still slender and calloused hand.

"How was the journey? How did you get injured?" Aunt Qiao's brows were filled with deep worry.

"Aunt Qiao, I'm fine. My wounds are almost healed. Don't worry."

Jiang Li stretched his body in front of her, and Aunt Qiao breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he was really fine.

"You guys stay here now, I'll go find a doctor to treat her."

After saying this, Heiduo left quickly.

Only then did Aunt Qiao notice the seriously injured girl on the straw mat.

Her body was covered in blood and the strong smell of blood filled her nose.

The wound wrapped in bandages had also been soaked, revealing large patches of bright red blood.

Her face looked much uglier than when we first met.

"Xiao Li, is this your friend? How come she was injured so badly?" Aunt Qiao was also frightened after seeing the girl's miserable appearance.

"I rescued her on the way."

After that, Jiang Li introduced Xiaogui and Xiaojie to Aunt Qiao.

A few of them chatted casually, and soon Heiduo came back with the doctor.

He is a middle-aged man who looks younger.

There are many doctors in the Black Bear Tribe, and the one brought by Hei Duo is very familiar with them.

He also came to check on Jiang Li's body after she gave birth.

His name is Wu Ping.

His medical skills were outstanding among many doctors, and he often treated the Black Bear King.

Wu Ping took the girl's pulse and looked at her wounds.

His originally relaxed brows furrowed slightly the moment he saw her wound.

"Doctor, how is her illness?" Jiang Li stepped forward and asked softly.

"The situation is not good. Her wound is deep and has a tendency to get infected."

Wu Ping withdrew his hand and stood up. "I'll prescribe some medicine and feed it to her first. If the fever goes away tonight, she'll be fine."

"Okay, thank you."

Wu Ping raised his chin and looked at Hei Duo beside him.

"Hey, Heiduo, where did you pick up this person? He's seriously injured..."

He was afraid that the girl was being hunted by her enemies and would implicate them.

Heiduo raised his hand and touched his nose.

"Don't worry, I know my limits."

Wu Ping sighed and shook his head, then raised his hand and patted his shoulder.

"Okay, I'll be leaving first. I'll ask Xiao Liuzi to bring you medicine when the time comes."

Heiduo nodded and saw Wu Ping off.

"Xiao Li, you've been busy and tired these days, so let me take care of her." Aunt Qiao said.

"No need Aunt Qiao, I'll do it myself."

I already felt bad enough for asking her to help look after Jun Rui these days. After all, she was the one who saved him. How could I trouble her again?

Just as the two were pushing and shoving each other, Xiaojie and Xiaogui, who were lying on the side, spoke.

"Let the two of us watch."

Their lips were a little dry; after running such a long distance, their bodies were already dehydrated.

"Can you help us find a barrel and get some water? I'm almost done..."

Aunt Qiao was slightly stunned, but she also understood what they meant and nodded in response.

"Yes, wait a moment, I'll get you some water."

After hearing this, both of them smiled.

But Jiang Li was still a little worried.

"Can you really?"

Seeing Jiang Li looking at them suspiciously, Xiaojie and Xiaogui suddenly felt aggrieved.

"Xiao Li, don't worry, we won't hurt her. You came all the way here to rescue her, so we have to give you some face."

"Yeah yeah."

They were not stupid enough to jump back and forth at Jiang Li's bottom line.

Aunt Qiao took out a wooden barrel that was half the size of a person, and Heiduo filled it with water and sprinkled some salt on it.

Xiaojie and Xiaogui opened their eyes wide, and quickly jumped into the bucket eagerly, and soon returned to their original forms.

"Sure enough... I still like this look..."

Xiaojie leaned on the barrel with a comfortable look on his face, while the little turtle swam around inside it.

Aunt Qiao and Hei Duo looked slightly surprised.

Jiang Li had just told Aunt Qiao, and Aunt Qiao should have also told Hei Duo their identities.

Now they were just surprised because they were wondering why their beast god was so small, as big as a palm.

Xiaojie and Xiaogui also saw what they were thinking, and their tails gently slapped the water, splashing water.

"Don't underestimate us because we are small. We are very capable!"

"That's right." The little turtle lay on the water and spit out bubbles.

Jiang Li frowned, covered his mouth with his hands, and almost fell to the ground with laughter.

Well, give them face and don't expose them.

After Xiaojie and Xiaogui repeatedly assured them that they "would never hurt her", they left the room.

After wishing Heiduo a good dream, he and Aunt Qiao returned to their own room.

The little baby on the straw mat was sleeping soundly, with his little fist against his lips and his thumb sucking constantly. He looked very cute.

However, after not seeing him for just a few days, Jiang Li felt that he had gained some weight, which was enough to show that Aunt Qiao and the others were really taking good care of him.

"Aunt Qiao, I'm really causing you trouble."

"What are you talking about, kid? After you left, Xiao Rui was very well behaved. He didn't cry or make a fuss. I was much less worried about him during those two hours at home."

Hearing this, Jiang Li breathed a sigh of relief, and the look in his eyes when he looked at Jun Rui became even gentler and softer.

"Xiao Li, how are you doing?"

Aunt Qiao didn't want to ask at first, but when she saw the males who came back with her, she introduced them as friends.

And there was no third male coming back, so she was a little worried. Did something happen?

Jiang Li's eyes drooped, his eye sockets became red and moist, and there was a deep sadness in his eyes and on his face.

She said, "Aunt Qiao, I didn't see him."

She added, "Aunt Qiao, they say he's dead."

She couldn't hold it in any longer and started crying quietly with her hands covering her face.

For fear of disturbing Jun Rui, she clenched her teeth tightly, fearing that the noise she made would be too loud.

But the pain in my heart could never be suppressed.

Aunt Qiao held Jiang Li in her arms with concern and patted her back gently.

The sound is so soft and pleasant.

"Don't be sad, Xiao Li, we are still here."
