Although they had eaten at Su Ji Food Shop before and knew that her family had many things that couldn't be found elsewhere, Lian Yingtong and Xu Meng were still quite surprised to see this table of food. They had originally thought that at most they would just cook a pot of rice, fry an egg, and make an egg drop soup. However, the rice, though it was rice, was different from what they had in mind.
It exudes a caramelized aroma and the scent of eggs. Each grain of rice is coated with the golden hue of egg liquid, and is adorned with either emerald green or snow-white scallions. The cooked scallions also emit an enticing fragrance, causing Xu Meng to unconsciously swallow his saliva.

"This is a simplified version of rice cake. The ingredients and time were limited, but it tastes pretty good."

"Lady Su, you can actually make so many things with just rice and eggs?" Lian Yingtong was astonished.
Su Yun'er raised an eyebrow and smiled: "There are others too, please wait a moment, young master, I'll bring them over right away."
A short while later, Su Yun'er brought over another dish.
The dishes were yellowish-white, and I'd never seen them before.
Gu Jingheng examined it carefully. The steam rising from the plate brought a hint of crab flavor, but the food on the plate did not seem to be crab meat.
Gu Jingheng looked at Su Yun'er, then at the dish: "What's this?"
"Young master, try it first. I'll tell you after you've eaten it."
Su Yun'er handed over a pair of chopsticks.
Of the four people at the table, only Gu Jingheng was sitting; the other four were standing.
Gu Jingheng took the chopsticks, picked up a small bite of the unknown dish, put it in his mouth, and savored it carefully.
"It tastes like crab, and it's very tender, but it's definitely not crab. Is it made with... eggs?" Gu Jingheng gave his answer.
“Yes, it’s made from eggs.” Su Yun’er nodded with a smile. “Young master, you have quite the tongue.”
"You can actually make crab-flavored food with eggs?! Madam Su, does this dish have a name?" Lian Yingtong asked first, expressing her doubts.
"Of course we have it, it's called 'mock crab'," Su Yun'er said. "It wasn't originally going to be made, but just now when I was looking for bowls and plates, I found a small piece of ginger hidden in the corner of the cupboard, so I added this dish on the spot. I'm glad you gentlemen like it."
"Matching Crabs?" Lian Yingtong laughed upon hearing this. "Why is it called that?"

"The name is interesting." Gu Jingheng nodded in agreement after hearing it.

The egg drop soup looked ordinary, but Su Yun'er added some black pepper, so although it looked bland, it had a spicy aftertaste, which was quite appetizing in this hot weather.
The fried rice is fragrant with the aroma of caramelized rice, a blend of egg and scallion flavors. Each grain of rice is distinct and chewy, making it irresistible.
The rice cake was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a sticky and chewy texture and a hint of sweetness.
After eating each dish, Gu Jingheng had forgotten that the meal only contained rice, scallions, and eggs.
Lian Yingtong and Xu Meng were also allowed to eat at the same table. Xu Meng took a bite of the fried rice first, and his eyes, which had been filled with doubt, immediately widened and became intense! What kind of divine food is this? Rice can be made like this?
I had another bite of the "mock crab" – it tasted exactly like crab, even though there was no actual crab inside. Amazing!
Another sip of soup, spicy! Delicious! Hot and spicy, but not unbearably so, and it doesn't affect your appetite. I could easily drink three big bowls!
Finally, here's a sweet and chewy little pancake. Ah, life is actually quite wonderful!
Xu Meng wanted to eat while lying on his stomach, but with a smiling young woman standing next to him, he had to maintain his image and tried to eat as elegantly as possible.
The three of them began to eat, but Su Yun'er, being a hired cook, naturally did not eat with them and returned to the kitchen.
Gai Xue meowed and rubbed against him. Su Yun'er peeled two yolks from a boiled egg, mixed them with some water, and fed them to him.
Gai Xue happily made slurping sounds as she diligently ate the egg yolk.
Su Yun'er stroked Gai Xue's fur a few times, then found herself in a bit of a predicament.
