Chapter 79 I won't hold you back anymore

"Build a small house?" Old Mrs. Chen repeated.

"Yes, the tofu pudding stall has been doing extremely well lately. Not only is the tofu pudding popular, but even the expensive braised chicken and pork tripe chicken are sold out every day. Moreover, with so many people, there's never enough room for everyone in the tent, and many customers have nowhere to sit, resulting in a loss of customers."

“If we want to expand the tent area and add more seats, then we will have to bring more things every day. So it’s better to just set up a permanent shop and put the things we need every day in the shop. We just need to bring the ingredients over every day.”

Actually, there was another reason, which Su Yun'er didn't mention.

Having a fixed shop would definitely require building a kitchen, making it much easier for Su Yun'er to take things out of her space; but right now, with only a small tent and cart, it's easy for customers and He Liu to spot anything she's doing, which is very inconvenient.

That day, she saw that she had run out of cilantro and was about to turn around to take some more out of her spatial storage when she was almost bumped into by He Liu.

"Yun'er, where did all that cilantro in your hand come from?" He Liu asked in surprise. Because Su Yun'er didn't have any vegetables with her, but suddenly grabbed a handful of cilantro the next second.

Su Yun'er managed to get away with it by saying that she had "wrapped the vegetables in her coat" and then, because guests had suddenly arrived, she hurriedly told He Liu to go and greet them.

“What you said makes sense. Having a fixed shop will definitely save you a lot of trouble. But building a house must cost a lot of money.”

"It's definitely a lot, but to do a good job, you need the right tools. If we want to make more money in the future, we can't skimp on the money for building this house. Besides, the shop doesn't need to be too big, since we have tents. With the tents set up outside, we can still accommodate a lot of customers for meals."

"Then let's do as you say. I won't hold you back anymore." Old Mrs. Chen chuckled self-deprecatingly.

Su Yun'er couldn't help but smile: "The old lady's thinking has improved! She deserves praise."

Su Yun'er discussed this matter with Old Lady Chen in order to gain her support, even though Su Yun'er would still push forward with the matter even if Old Lady Chen objected.

However, reaching a consensus is also a major prerequisite for maintaining peace within the family.

Since they haven't been able to set up their stall these past few days, the task of arranging meals at home has fallen to Su Yun'er.

The chickens I prepared for setting up my stall the day before yesterday are still not finished.

Because it's cold now and the meat won't thaw during the day, Su Yun'er no longer needs to put the meat in her space to keep it fresh.

I thawed a chicken, prepared some vegetables and tofu, as well as sesame paste. I also kneaded some dough, preparing to have pork tripe and chicken hot pot at home today.

The pig's stomach and other offal were left for Su Yun'er by the butcher when she went to get the chicken.

The pork stomach and chicken should still be wrapped together and simmered over low heat.

However, Su Yun'er didn't like eating chicken heads, so she chopped them off and placed them on a corner of the table, intending to throw them away later.

Turning her head to prepare vegetables and tofu, Su Yun'er, with her back to the kitchen door, didn't notice a small, dark figure jumping off the eaves and silently landing at the kitchen doorway.

The small figure cautiously looked around, its eyes full of vigilance.

After confirming that no one had noticed him, the figure turned around, looked into the kitchen, stretched his neck, and sniffed.

All I could hear was the bubbling sound of the stew in the pot and the sound of water as Su Yun'er washed the vegetables.

After confirming there was no other noise, the figure tiptoed into the kitchen, close to the doorframe...
